It’s mesmerising when a journalist call the rear seat ‘ plenty of knee room ‘ lol, I as a common adult comfortably sitting on the driver seat the passenger behind me has a leg room close to none 😂. It’s small but not the worst. A bit on the hype side but really good review.
None of the mini trucks have much space in the back seat. Full size crew cabs have space, but not the mid-size.

I live in the U.S and just ordered mine...expected delivery Nov 2023. Im having a hard time finding how you fit the Tonneau cover AND have the bed frame installed. Most companies here saying you cant have both. Can you tell me what brands of bed frame and cover you're using? Also ore pics or links would be helpful. Thanks

Any 2019-2023 5G Ranger tonneau cover will fit on the Ranger Raptor bed. I have a Backflip MX4 and fits like a glove on mine

I guess a mid size american pickup is big to you in Britain! I don't own a Ford Raptor, But have a 2023 Jeep gladiator 3.6 Pentastar 3.6 V6, 285 HP it is plenty! will tow 6600 LBS. I live in Los Angeles area, I will never go offroading, and probably hardly carry anything in the bed. Why buy a pickup? because you know it is fun as hell to drive! Sure gas milage sucks, but man, when you pullup behind a Toyota or Honda cars and even Teslas, the look in their eyes in their rear view mirrors is priceless! They have fear in their eyes thinking your gonna run them over :P

So either your in the country with the standard tune or or your thinking import rather than get the detuned one then either tune it yourself or pay someone to do it

the 2.3 ecoboost is about a second quicker to 60 as it weighs 400 lbs less. what a horrid detune. ford sells the performance tune.

Yes you poor Europeans, Euro regulations strangled the motor from 389Hp to 288Hp, Australia gets 389Hp standard, with a 482Hp upgrade available

Nothing else gets close, £60k is a snip for what you get.
It takes Premium Gas, so unless you have deep pockets, best to pass on this one!

The UK/European versions run fine on 87-octane; they have been detuned (running far less boost and making much less power than the North American and Australian/S. African versions).
Always funny when a mini truck is reviewed across the pond and it is described as large. Get your hands on a Raptor R with the 700HP 5.2 liter and really scare the neighbors.
I have this truck, and after 7 months of using it, I can say, it is pretty scary for 99% of all road users and I am loving it....I can finally enjoy the ride. E.g today I was driving my wife's small car, and after 30 km I was very stressed, because I am no longer used to what other road users allow themselves to do to normal(small) cars. It would be convenient to own an F150 Raptor R, but I don't need it and it's not even officially possible in this country.

I like the raptor and if i could i would get one to go hunting. Too bad that they don't offer the green painting like in usa. I would go for the diesel.
No diesel available in the Raptor line. Diesels don't really make sense in a desert racer. Here in the US you can't get a diesel in anything smaller than the F250.

@@romanbecker6711 I had to look it up and you are correct. That completely negates the reason that this truck exists. I always buy diesel pickups, but the diesel makes no sense in this class (pre-runner) of truck.
I can understand a diesel in a Ranger, although diesels are difficult in anything under 8,501lbs GVM here in the US, but not in a Raptor.

@@romanbecker6711 I have bought fuel in Europe actually. Expensive gas still doesn't change the fact that pre-runners are performance vehicles designed to fly across the desert at 80+ mph and leave the ground while doing so. That isn't consistent with a diesel, especially a weak 4 cylinder diesel.
If you are looking for economy you buy a non-performance trim. Offering a 2L diesel in a Raptor, or any red sticker Ford, is just wrong. Can you get a diesel Ford GT in Europe too?

Why is it such a problem for all these reviewers to use the proper name for these truck reviews. The name is TRUCK not car. It’s a truck not a car. Is this a generational thing? Is it laziness or stupidity? It’s a truck not a car.
This review was such a pleasant surprise. Smart people buy pick-up trucks and SUVs, all the other ones buy cross-overs and M3s. 😂

For 6 years I thought Raptor was a reference to the Velociraptor.. I'm so disappointed its in reference to birds of prey because dinosaurs are way cooler 😪

Overpriced @ £56,000. You are going to have to want one badly at that price with a VW Amorok at only £41000. Think I'd rather sink my cash into a Toyota Hi Lux.

I have a 2021 Hilux, I really love it but the suspension is so harsh and bumpy over poorly surfaced roads it doing my head in. I don’t want to buy anything else but it’s really starting to wear me out..I think there are aftermarket springs and shocks available whose makers claim to soften the ride. I’m gonna go with this
You clearly have no idea about the spec differences. The VW is a dirty diesel and the Hilux is agricultural
Have you ever been in a current gen Raptor? Worlds apart from any other BOF vehicle in comfort and performance. They are so soft, but so controlled. It’s a great experience.

Pitiful tow capacity
Pretty standard for a desert race truck. If towing capacity is important to you then pre-runners aren't going to work. The F450 pickup offers up to 40,000 lbs of towing capacity.
@@rich7447 hilux gr sport which is in the same class as a ranger raptor has 3.5 tonne towing. f450 is a different beast altogether.
@@gs5480 I had to look up the Hilux GR Sport. We don't get it in North America.
I honestly don't know how they are rating the Hilux at 3,500kg and the Ranger Raptor at 2,500kg. The Ranger Raptor makes more power, has 4 more gears and similar type and size of brakes. The Ranger is down 125 kg of payload.
I don't really know how tow ratings are calculated in Australia. We use J2807 specifications and a lot of the vehicles that get tow ratings in Europe are tagged as unsuitable for towing in the US. The Ranger Raptor seems to get the same 2500 kg/5500 lb tow rating here. Anyone who plans to tow very much or very often here in the US is going to skip the Ranger and the F150 and go straight to a Super Duty.
