How to make a Potting table

- A Friend of mine wanted a Potting table for his new greenhouse. After looking at buying one, he asked if we could make one, so we did. We spent the same amount of money on the wood, as a we would have done with a store bought one, but the one we built was a lot more sturdy, and will lost a lot longer. we used 6" Pine boards and 2"x 1" for the legs. The left over parts were then cut into slats for the bottom shelf. The table was handed over in its raw wood. No finish, no varnish etc. After chatting with Stephane, he originally wanted to paint it, but once the camera was off, he changed his mind to Varnish.

Fair comment on the cost. I just made some greenhouse shelving that I probs could have bought for the same price. But there is no comparison when it comes to the quality of the finished product.
holy shit that explosion in the intro nearly blew out my ear drums.
🤣🤣🤣
Great to see your son getting involved in the build.
Thanks Roscoe! he's really trying to master using the drill as a Driver, so this was a perfect opportunity for him to learn on a proper project!
Wolfcraft doling jig. Love mine. When doing the edge of a board turn it over and use the self centering feature. It's great
Good job. Sounded a bit windy there. I'll have to go make one now 👍
3 storms, 3 weekends! It's been a bit wild here for sure!!!
Great project, thank you. Might have to make one for our little greenhouse :). May I ask what is the make and model of your dowel jig? Thank you in advance.
Hi there, thank you for watching! The dowel jig is a Dowel master from Wolfcraft. Really simple jig and great to use once you get the hang of it!
@@andy.elliott.foreverpens Awesome! I'll check it out :)
Brilliant build mate looks great, and as you said it would be alot more sturdier than the shop bought ones. I thought those pocket hole sides you did would have been on the inside rather than the outside?, prob me being fussy ha ha ha.

Hey Barry! Good to hear from ye! Thanks for watching, glad you liked it. Kept the holes on the outside, just so he won't see them when potting up. Also, I couldn't be bothered filling all the damn holes!!!! Lol!
Great project, not a fan of pocket hole joints but each to there own.
