IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE ROYAL GUARD SWORD: There is a grove to the northwest of Kakiriko village with many bosses in it that consistently gives Royal guard swords from the soldiers there, so far I’ve gotten at least 6 Royal guard swords and even more then 1 per reset just from that grove, if you have trouble finding it look at Austin’s map for a large area with a small southern entrance to the right of Hyrule castle. Good luck!
all the royal guard's items are available in the sanctum. The easiest thing is go to the castle once, get your champion's tunic (or whatever it's called in totk, champion's leathers or whatever), smash all the royal guard's gear once, and then get pristine versions in the upside down.
I also found one at the Agaat Canyon mine. Far west of the depths. There I also found a pristine Royal Broadsword and I believe a Royal Guards Spear there also.
For people who don’t know, when using the hero’s path if you press y to hide the icons, and then press y again it will only show the paths of the level that you are on. So if you are looking at the depths to see where you’ve been and you don’t want to see the paths you’ve taken in the sky or above ground you can do this to make it easier to tell which paths are from what level
It took me watching Austin's video on Lynel hunting to gather the courage to take the shiny weapons offered to me by the *ghastly warriors in the pitch-black depths as I was certain this was a trap.*
I got a few prestine royal claymore with the silver lynel antler and it lasts soooo long. Crazy the difference between a pristine and regulars durability
@@Rascalli I did. Couldn't remember if it was called guard claymore or just royal. A regular pristine claymore with the silver lynel antler lasted me 8 rare talus (no dmg boost) and 4 other bosses frox and armored lynel armor
do you remember around about where you found it? Personally prefer the royal weapons to the royal guard weapons, but I don't recall hearing where the pristine versions can be found in this video
I know you said you don't like using the rito weapons but have you tried the single hand sword with the wind effect fused with any of the element fused mats because when they blow enemies away they also spray fire, electricity, ice ect ect. and if you don't actually make contact with the blade they last forever and are just super cool utility.
Sorry if he already mentioned this but I just learned about the awesome ability the Forest Dweller Weapon line has. Any “bursting” fused items can be reused as if they were the elemental stones when attached. It’s like infinite dazzlefruits or puffshrooms! The pristine and buffed versions are excellent when tackling large groups.
Yeah I had a durability up Forest Dweller Spear with a Muddle Bud that I used for big groups like Boss Bokoblin groups and then just go run and hide as they kill each other lol
You worded that really well for month old knowledge. Most people have been saying it makes one time use fuses infinite but that doesn’t work for every one time use like the ancient blade (kinda obviously) so it’s probably only the bursting kind like ya said but I’ve never heard anyone use that exact word
You can force a blood moon by over loading the game. Use muti shot bow with lighting affect in bullet time. Blood moon is how the game clears the cache
@@dvxAznxvbBy the time you're farming the depths basically any normal mob drop will be fairly inconsequential to you. I think the only one I ever use is the Silver Lizalfos horn, anything less than that isn't really useful by that point as you'll likely have plenty of Lynel stuff for all your actual fuses
I really wish they had expanded the types of icons we can put down. They improved it EVER so slightly & that honestly wasn't enough. I was constantly wishing we had icons for the 3 different weapon types including a Bow & Shield Icon, & am kind of surprised they didn't give that to us. There are several little things like this that I feel they could still improve upon in this game.
Would've also been nice if they gave us more than 300 pins. The pins they gave us suggest that they wanted to mark down everything from Koroks to ore deposits to bosses to even cooking pot locations and though the korok pins are going to be only temporary, knowing where to get boss materials and pristine weapons is incredibly valuable and you'll most likely reach the pin caap before marking everything down, which seriously sucks. They should've made the pin cap at least 500, maybe 600 and while we're talking about improvements, allow us to place different colored pins, like give us the option of changing the standard yellow pins to say, red, blue, green, orange or purple that way we can differentiate between say, a Frox, a Gleeok and a Lynel, they also wouldn't have to make pins for the different weapons either 'cause you could just dedicate a color in your head to each weapon type, it'd be such versatile and useful feature, yet it's such a simple addition.
@@SmilesEdgeworth I mean this limitation can be a good thing, a good memory training, most of the things I don't even have marked because they are my normal farmspots, I know exactly where they are.
@@claudiahelmer4706 Maybe so, but I have huge memory problems, I usually have to open up my map 3 times just to remember which way I was going, so in that regard it absolutely sucks, especially since nothing was apparently stopping them from upping that cap.
@@SmilesEdgeworth that's the same for me, but if i repeat something often enough i don't need the marker anymore and use it for something else. besides, it can also be a kind of game, maybe it's deliberately chosen by the developers so that you learn to set priorities.
According to datamining there are only three regions that royal guard versions of weapons can spawn. The biggest is the one Austin went to in this video. There are four where royal versions can spawn.
mind sharing the link/locations for the royal suite? i have been hunting for them with no luck and seems youtubers just not interested in covering them
Found them in PhillybeatzU’s vid, AJP had a link to it. The same places where he got the royal guard suite, if you broke royal gloomed weapons before hand the pristine version spawns and his vid actually showed them

Lmao I could see that but then again when you think about it if it was a trap why would the depths be littered with em when you only fall for a trap once. I don’t think it even crossed my mind but I probably should’ve considered that considering how many games put trap mimic chests in
One thing to note is the I believe the stacks of stones the weapons are found on are called cairn(s) which are man made stacks of rocks for the purpose of a navigation or burial marker
This would tie into the lore of the game. A lot of the things we thought were dead (The temple bosses among other things) appear in the depths. Maybe the people of Hyrule buried their dead in the depths, hoping that maybe they would be revived by the magic in the depths. That’s my theory anyway.

I got my Pristine Eightfold Longblade from a Side Quest from a Yiga Blade Master behind a waterfall in Gerudo Canyon. Basically he has you put 5 mighty banana's at certain places where frog statue's are, after you do it there will be a Ruby, Pristine Eightfold Blade, and a shrine.
@@JoshuaHardyArt honestly I never looked at them lol, but it's not hard to miss. It's a waterfall in the gerudo canyon, you'll notice a half tunnel/walk way behind it. Just go behind it and you'll see an indention and that's the door, put on your yiga get up and start it. It's up high so if you are in the air you''ll see it if you are cruising through the canyon. It's before the Stables.
I found a pristine Eightfold Blade in the depths without ever having one, and also found a pristine Zora sword without previously breaking one. The zora sword was way up on a crazy high cliff with nothing else around, and the eightfold was with a horde of other weapons next to a colosseum/arena thing so not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Plus, what if you head to the depths early on, and spawn every soldier without even exploring or looting any of the weapons up top? Are you just stuck forever with traveler's weapons in the depths haha, I don't think that could be true.
@@geoffreygarrett6761 You're not stuck forever with traveler's weapons in that case. You're only stuck with them until you remove them from the statue. After you remove it, the weapon type gets re-rolled after the next blood moon when you approach the statue.
I got a decayed cobble crusher from one of the coliseums. And a little bit later I found a pristine cobble crusher and I'm almost certain that I never broke a cobble crusher
Same for me, but with a royal guards sword. Im pretty sure I never got a decayed one, and I picled up a pristine one from the depths (I want to say I was in the zoras domain area)
No you’re correct I was seriously just thinking about this, it’s been on my mind a lot lately bei struggled to get the royal guard claymore. And then I suddenly realized that I received loads of weapons from soldiers in the depths I never received much less broke decayed versions. It appears this is all very complicated
I found a pristine Gerudo scimitar the other day, combined it with one of my silver lynel horns and got a weapon that does over 130 damage Also, could you look into whether you get more total damage from a weapon that has durability up, or one that has damage up?
The gerudo weapons feature a "strong fusion" trait that increases the attack of anything yiu fuse to it. The silver lynel horn is already a powerful fusion, so the gerudo weapon bumped it even higher.
Also: once you find the pristine weapon of the weapons they unlock in the pool of amiibo(if you have them or the etsy cards etc) i found this out trying to get a few items to stock up and randomly gotten a pristine knight sword from rider link.
@@JamesJNothingIsTooSensitive i didn't get them in the pool til AFTER i found them in the game ie the depths its how i found out; i was literally trying to get the paraglides for a bit and after i broke...i think it was the knights broadsword decayed? i got the pristine on one of my link amiibos
If your inventory is full, you don't have to drop something to remove it from the soldier. Just use Ultrahand, grab it from the soldier, drop it on the ground if you don't want it. Works just as well. I personally don't like the Zora weapons, because they only do good damage if you're wet, and that's just another thing to keep track of. My go-to weapons are the Royal ones since I'm great at flurry rushes. And I also keep 1 Royal Guard weapon, with the highest damage fuse I can find, and keep it one hit away from breaking, and use it exclusively when on the back of a lynel when it can't break.
I feel like not a lot of budget was allocated to the Stamp-Creation Team. My personal top usage of pins is: 1. I see a shrine - I pin it. But I don't wanna keep a pin in use so I replace it with a gem stamp because there is no stamp for shrines... 2. I see a korok bro that I don't wanna deal with yet, I stamp it with a leaf. 3. Use the skull for a overworld boss. 4. Treasure box when my sensor is telling me somewhere near above or below and I don't wanna go hunting at the moment. NEVER ONCE have I come across a cooking pot and thought to to myself "I need to stamp this. Pots are super rare and I never know when I'll come across one again." Stars and the diamond-in-a-diamond are somewhat useful for marking general places of interest or unfinished quests but also awkward because they aren't descriptive enough to help me remember exactly why I marked them later. Some suggestions for future Zelda game stamps: SHRINE! Shrines are the number one thing! How is there not a dedicated Shrine stamp? A Check Mark (✔). A Question Mark (❔). A "To Do" Stamp (can just be a little 2x2 "To" on the top and "Do" on the bottom). Up/Down/Left/Right arrows so we can create little path routes (↑↓←→). X and O Stamps (✖〇). Lastly just regular numbers (①②③ etc..)
Something I've noticed about the dragons is that Fast Travel jumps them along their routes. Could this be manipulated to find them easily, or do they just get jumped to a section of their path that's deliberately far from the player? EDIT: Also, following this guide and the power 194 weapon guide, you can get a Pristine Royal Guard's Claymore and make a completely legit 208 power weapon. The strongest weapon without glitches. Though this would become 416 on the breaking hit, since breaking a weapon does double damage, and a crit would do double damage again, so it's an 832 damage weapon, if you break it on a crit. EDIT 2: Something else I noticed is that BOTW and TOTK are set in a completely new timeline, rather than the OOT Adult timeline. This timeline does closely follow OOT, only, it has no Hero of Time (which makes the armour sets weird). There are likely other differences.
BotW and TotK take place so far into the future that ALL of the other Zelda games have "faded into legend" (there was a Zora slab in BotW that explicitly talked about Princess Ruto from OoT, who was said to have existed even before the original Calamity and the creation of the Divine Beasts, so from just this we can assume that BotW takes place 10,000 years AFTER the last Zelda game(s) in the timeline before BotW's release). There are also references to every other Zelda game in BotW, so I'm guessing the three timelines somehow merged into one, hence why things from each of the three timelines are able to exist within the same game (the Great Gerudo Skeleton is the Windfish from Link's Awakening, from the Fallen Timeline; there's Lake Lulu and Lake Mikau north of Zora's Domain, and the statue of Darmani in Goron City, from Majora's Mask in the Child Timeline; Vah Medoh is named after Medli from The Wind Waker in the Adult TImeline, as well as the existence of the Rito and the description for Rock Salt mentioning an ancient sea; plus certain DLC items being things straight from other Zelda games, like Zant's Helmet, the Island Lobster Shirt, and Ravio's Hood)
The number doesn't change but if you get a weapon down to last hit and then use it exclusively for lynel backstabbing it'll do double damage and last forever, and it stacks with breaking point for infinite durability 832 damage.
You... don't know what you're talking about. The dragons don't move when you warp - I have warped in order to get closer to them multiple times when I saw them near a shrine. Also, the timeline thing? You have *_no clue_* what you're on about.
I got that weapon lol, but I’m pretty sure you can make a higher dps weapon using molduga weapon and armor with bone attack up, though it will show a smaller number.
@@Sarah_H Except the "somehow merged" part doesn't have any evidence to support it. Plus, given how the items from other games have no impact or connection to BoTW's and ToTK's storylines, you can just as easily say they are just out-of-world references. Plus 1 of the great skeletons matches none of the games. And if the timelines merged, there'd be a lot of conflict. Such as the master swords, the triforces, multiple incarnations of demise's hatred existing at once, the 4 sword, vaati, etc. There are more problems with the combined timeline theory than a new timeline. Also, it's pretty likely that Nintendo is using a new timeline since the previous one was confusing. Also, there are events in ToTK's flashback that occur at the same time OoT would take place.
Thanks so much I watched this video and went to a two handed soldier you showed and got a pristine royal guard claymore with attack up 10 first try!!!! This earned you a sub and a like, keep up the good work
Pristine anything Gerudo plus your highest attack material. It doubles the attack of the attached material. A pristine gerudo scimitar plus silver lynel horn is like 127 attack. honestly, even non-pristine ones are great since the double is only to the material. makes decayed ones only like 10 less attack overall. Edit: My thanks to you sir. I had done quite a few laps looking for pristine gerudo weapons, and had only managed to nab a +10 scimitar. Could not find the others. Then i watched the vid, immediately broke a claymore and a spear (hadn't used them at all because i misunderstood the special ability initially), and went back down. 30 minutes of fumbling around for ones i hadn't already picked clean and I now have a +10 gerudo claymore, +10 gerudo spear, and +10 royal guard claymore to go with the scimitar. Wonderful vids man.
I was just looking at the vid then went back to my switch to use the circle in circle technique and I got the sword first try also the royal broad sword and two of the one handed versions of the two swords . TYSM Austin your a goat man
I’ve been hunting these down for days on my own and struggling and Austin John comes in like he always does and saves me. I love this man’s content. I’ve been here since Pokemon Sword and Shield and all this time later the man is still saving me hours of suffering 😂😂😂😂
For the longest time I avoided the weapons in the depths because from a distance it looked like some terrifying shadow enemy....then I realized it was just free weapons lol
Very well put together video as usual Austin. I think the only thing to add is that they have a chance to spawn any weapon of the type they hold. As an example the first one you showed with the broadsword it would be possible for him to have any one handed weapon in the game once you have found and broken a decayed variant a lower chance of happening. Least that's my understanding, obviously under the Gerudo area you would have a higher chance of finding Gerudo weapons once you'd found the decayed versions and broken them.
Glad to see more Zelda videos Austin thanks for helping me and a lot of other Zelda players grind and get good loot over the course of Tears of the Kingdom keep up the good work
I wasn’t aware of the connection between the decayed weapons and their pristine counterparts, plus the spawn rules. I am definitely going to break in every new decayed weapon I get and grab the ghosts’ weapons whenever possible.
I'm kind of doubtful that is actually a thing. I've never seen anyone explain how they know you need to break them. Plus, I'm pretty sure I've gotten pristine weapons without having broken a decayed counterpart.
Nintendo really needs to expand the number of map icons, as well as blow up that 300 limit to probably 500. Too many classes of things to mark on the map given the small assortment of icons to choose from.
Location also matters when it comes to finding good, hightier weapons. My advice go to the dephs below the gerudo highlands. It's chock full of royal, royal gaurd weapons and gerudo weapons. It also has good spawn rate for hightier weapons.
I find the value in the Rito swords to be in attaching elemental materials (particularly frost). Then it sends out a blast of the element when swung, allowing you to freeze enemies at a bit of a distance. You can do this with the eightfold longblade too, but since one-handed weapons are so much faster, I prefer the Rito swords.
I have an off-topic question regarding the Lurelin village side quest. I freed the village of pirates and fixed the whole village, I also built the tourist attraction and informed the merchant couple at Lookout Landing and helped the husband to get a boat.. everybody is happy (we even had a feast) - still Purah tells me the village is overrun by pirates. Is it only for me or do others also experience that?
I’ve explored under the Rito and found lots of Royal weapons. Not any of the Rito weapons since I don’t like them, maybe that’s why the area has become a literal gold mine to me. Excellent video!
i find a zora spear fused with the dusk claymore to bee very powerful just throw a splash fruit on yourself before a battle. got really good range as well.
@@probably_afk They will repair them if they are fused to as the blade to a repairable weapon's handle. You just have to pay for the goron NPC in Tarrey Town, to take it apart when you are done.
Is it actually necessary to break a decayed version of a weapon? I used the only decayed cobble crusher I found to make the boulder breaker but I still managed to find a pristine one. Although the game might count that as "breaking" it.
Unclear yet for certain. I farmed for an hour one knight for the pristine royale claymore and hadn't gotten it once even though I was pretty sure I've broken at least one previous that was fused. After going and breaking one on it's own I went back to the same knight and got it within 3 resets. Could've just been a coincidence but so far it seems about right. As I've never used or found any rito or korok weapons at all underground or above
Is there a reason why I'm not getting a modifier on the royal guards sword, no matter how many times I load a save after finding one its just base 30 no modifier everytime?

Finally started playing this game two weeks ago and found your videos to be incredibly helpful! As far as I can tell-I’ve been near the end-game of the main storyline for days, but have been having a blast upgrading my Deity Armor set and farming/hunting.
I'm a bit confused about 100% compendium completion right now. Are there any entries you can miss, like the Kite Sheild and basic Lynel set from BotW? I remember watching a certain Nintendo guide UA-cam channel *wink wink* discussing this in BotW, and I got upset when I realized I missed some.
Awesome vid. Not so sure about having to break a decayed weapon before running across the pristine ones. I've come across 2 swords I know I've never seen before. Though they may be an exception to the rule, because of specificity. One was Biggoron's sword. The other was a sword that had a gloom effect, not sure of the name. Love all the videos. Keep it up
Those are exceptions. Biggoron's sword is obtained from a specific treasure chest in the Depths, after which you can buy more Biggoron Swords by trading Poes to the Bargainer Statues. As for the Gloom Sword, those are dropped by defeating a Phantom Ganon, which appears after defeating Gloom Hands. Note that Phantom Ganons can appear wielding Gloom Swords (1-handed), Gloom Clubs (2-handed), and Gloom Spears.
@@CalvinCopyrightbut I think he is correct that there are some weapons you can receive pristine versions before breaking the decayed version. Like if you immediately went down to the depths before getting a chance to break a travelers we all know they’d have travelers at least. But I also know that I specifically received a pristine cobble crusher before ever breaking a decayed version. And I received a pristine Zora spear before encountering another zora spear at all. I also heard people elaborating that you have to break the UNfused version of a weapon before pristine will spawn. So much conflicting information hard to say who’s right. I think what’s going on is we all tend to naturally set these flags unintentionally to allow pristine to spawn and that’s making it difficult to figure out what each exact flag is
Does getting the Pristine versions of the Zora Spear/Gerudo Scimitar/Cobble Crusher affect their legendary version in any way? Higher base damage/durability for example? Or does the construction of the legendary weapon keep the enchantment on the upgraded version?

@@k0nar1k55 thanks. I'm just trying to figure out if gerudo infused weapons are better for sneak attacking, due to their high damage. If eightfold weapons only deal an extra 50% damage, then they're not as good as gerudo weapons for sneak attacking.
@@grantlawrence4600 well, yes. However, if you're just using them for sneak attacks (one strike at the beginning of the battle then switching them out) they'll still last a very long time.
I’ve played for 70-something hours now and just now went into the depths for the first time lol it was always so intimidating & scary to me! Thanks for the help AJ, yet again your kick ass videos are helping me have even more fun playing this amazing game!
That's old school already. RGC+Molduga Jaw with bone proficiency armor is better. And now that people are starting to become aware of the Eightfold Blade and Puffshroom Korok weapon combo, I think that's going to be the new meta (sneak attacks had crazy multipliers in botw).
Assuming that the 8x modifier for sneakstrikes carries over to TOTK and Eightfold Longblades further amplify the bonus, fusing something strong to them might be the key to cranking out even higher damage than the bone build with the RGC.
Only the one handed eight folds do the extra bonus. But yes, potentially could do a molduga jaw fuse + bone proficiency + attack up + sneakstrike for massive damage, though that seems like it may need a sneak food buff to get close then change to attack up for the hit.
Following this guide and your Strongest Weapon guide, I have a +9 pristine royal guard claymore that deals 206 damage! Just need that extra point to make it possibly THE strongest weapon in the game
I decided to test the durability differences between the lightscale trident and a pristine zora spear (one with +10 attack and one with the orange durability up) all with a saber lynel horn while not wet by slamming on the ground to figure out the best of the 3. Lightscale trident with silver lynel horn: 92 hits before the badly dmg pop up Zora spear with silver lynel horn + 10 dmg: 62 Zora spear with silver lynel horn + orange durability up: 72 Assuming I didn't miss count that means with durabilty up you're trading an additional 20 dmg (when wet) for only an additional 10 hits. So if you plan on using zora spears it's 100% better to aim for +10 attack since when compared to the lightscale trident you only lose 2 dmg and 30 hits as opposed to the durability up spear where you're giving up 20 dmg and a difference of 20 hits before breaking.
if comparing just the zora spears with eachother total dmg done before reaching badly dmg is 9,424 (+10) vs 9,504 (durability up orange) which in this instance a difference of only 80 total dmg. So at least for zora weapons dmg up seems the best way to go.
You can use Ultrahand or if feeling annoyed climbing these, just Recall the weapon and the ghost despawns. Keep in mind you have to be around 10 meters otherwise Recall does nothing.
Just added my pristine royal guard's claymore with an attack up +10 boost to my silver lynel saber horn and hit it to make a 208 damage weapon! Most in the game I believe, and with that last hit ×2 multiplier, I have a 416 damage weapon, freaking insane!
What about royal broadsword and royal claymore. Not the royal guard ones that break super quick and easy. Are you able to find them in the world or just decayed ones?
i wonder what lore the ghost soldiers have.. the fact that they show up with the weapon after it breaks makes it seem like the weapon died. and they brought it back.
The wind elemental is great in combination with ice if you're near water. Not the most frequent setting for combat but freezing + pushing + drowning enemies is a great strategy that handles crowds effectively
austin john has to be one of the best tutorial youtubers ever. i didn't know that when you first spawn a shadow soldier. its first weapon is set. i was wondering why i wasn't getting new weapons when i did the save and reset thing

There is a grove to the northwest of Kakiriko village with many bosses in it that consistently gives Royal guard swords from the soldiers there, so far I’ve gotten at least 6 Royal guard swords and even more then 1 per reset just from that grove, if you have trouble finding it look at Austin’s map for a large area with a small southern entrance to the right of Hyrule castle.
Good luck!
all the royal guard's items are available in the sanctum. The easiest thing is go to the castle once, get your champion's tunic (or whatever it's called in totk, champion's leathers or whatever), smash all the royal guard's gear once, and then get pristine versions in the upside down.
@@edwardnedharvey8019He means where to get the pristine version.
Claymores???
I also found one at the Agaat Canyon mine. Far west of the depths. There I also found a pristine Royal Broadsword and I believe a Royal Guards Spear there also.
What is the location
For people who don’t know, when using the hero’s path if you press y to hide the icons, and then press y again it will only show the paths of the level that you are on. So if you are looking at the depths to see where you’ve been and you don’t want to see the paths you’ve taken in the sky or above ground you can do this to make it easier to tell which paths are from what level

Like being able to dye better

I found a pristine Gerudo scimitar the other day, combined it with one of my silver lynel horns and got a weapon that does over 130 damage
Also, could you look into whether you get more total damage from a weapon that has durability up, or one that has damage up?
The gerudo weapons feature a "strong fusion" trait that increases the attack of anything yiu fuse to it. The silver lynel horn is already a powerful fusion, so the gerudo weapon bumped it even higher.
There’s a royal guards claymore in the eventide depths too.

“There’s no Goron spear“ sad drillshaft noises
Unfortunately the mighty drillshaft isn't in TOTK
I feel like not a lot of budget was allocated to the Stamp-Creation Team.
My personal top usage of pins is:
I just want to say thank you so much for your advice on Lynel hunting! I've gotten so proficient at it I can kill a silver Lynel in about a minute.

@@k0nar1k55 thanks. I'm just trying to figure out if gerudo infused weapons are better for sneak attacking, due to their high damage.
If eightfold weapons only deal an extra 50% damage, then they're not as good as gerudo weapons for sneak attacking.
@@hebercluff1665Gerudo weapons will break far more often.
Very low durability.
So wait, does this mean the RGC + Silver Lynel Horn combo can now be even stronger??!
Yes
That's old school already. RGC+Molduga Jaw with bone proficiency armor is better. And now that people are starting to become aware of the Eightfold Blade and Puffshroom Korok weapon combo, I think that's going to be the new meta (sneak attacks had crazy multipliers in botw).
@@gruiaolaru511 bosses can't be sneak attacked
@@gruiaolaru511 better, so long as the person also has the +3 attack food buff.
@@gruiaolaru511 What do you mean by "Puffshroom Korok"? A Korok Frond fused with a Puffshroom?
You uploaded this right as I was about to look for videos about this, perfect timing.
Why am I still scared of the depths after 50 hours in totk lol
If you cook meals with the sundelion you can cure gloom damage to make the depths less dangerous.
Ugh, I hate caves in open world games! Thanks for the chasm videos and saving me the headaches
Assuming that the 8x modifier for sneakstrikes carries over to TOTK and Eightfold Longblades further amplify the bonus, fusing something strong to them might be the key to cranking out even higher damage than the bone build with the RGC.
longblades are windcleavers now sadly
@@catalyst539 they always were windcleavers
Only the one handed eight folds do the extra bonus.
But yes, potentially could do a molduga jaw fuse + bone proficiency + attack up + sneakstrike for massive damage, though that seems like it may need a sneak food buff to get close then change to attack up for the hit.
The evil spirit armor has that set bonus and each piece is sneaky.
You could also change from sneaky armor to the radiant armor once you sneak up.
12:17 wow wow wow wow wow. Wow
Following this guide and your Strongest Weapon guide, I have a +9 pristine royal guard claymore that deals 206 damage! Just need that extra point to make it possibly THE strongest weapon in the game
Update: I finally got a +10 damage modifier and now it’s at 208
Gotta love save scuming for modifiers, gotta get me that oh so precious long throw, lol.
I decided to test the durability differences between the lightscale trident and a pristine zora spear (one with +10 attack and one with the orange durability up) all with a saber lynel horn while not wet by slamming on the ground to figure out the best of the 3.
Lightscale trident with silver lynel horn: 92 hits before the badly dmg pop up
Zora spear with silver lynel horn + 10 dmg: 62
Zora spear with silver lynel horn + orange durability up: 72
Assuming I didn't miss count that means with durabilty up you're trading an additional 20 dmg (when wet) for only an additional 10 hits.
This is honestly such an intuitive mechanic! Another amazing addition to the game, good job nintendo! Also great video, Austin!!
You can use Ultrahand or if feeling annoyed climbing these, just Recall the weapon and the ghost despawns. Keep in mind you have to be around 10 meters otherwise Recall does nothing.
15:40 bro the music just goes along with how he opens the depths map and it just goes TSSSSSSS
You can actually get a royal guards claymore and get a 208 damage weapon if it almost breaks so you can melt through lynels!
i wonder what lore the ghost soldiers have.. the fact that they show up with the weapon after it breaks makes it seem like the weapon died. and they brought it back.
Yeah I thought they were the sword spirits themselves
Or say weapon spirit
I wish the pristine weapons had the damage they had in botw
Botw is better anyway. It has wolf link.
I do too but imagine how broken pristine royal/roayal guard weapons + lynel parts would be if they were still as strong
The wind elemental is great in combination with ice if you're near water. Not the most frequent setting for combat but freezing + pushing + drowning enemies is a great strategy that handles crowds effectively
First
austin john has to be one of the best tutorial youtubers ever. i didn't know that when you first spawn a shadow soldier. its first weapon is set. i was wondering why i wasn't getting new weapons when i did the save and reset thing
Glad we can always count on Austin to help us out!
I had already seen your friend’s video about pristine weapons, but after watching yours, it really clicked. Well done, and thank you!
This sounds stupid, but do you have to throw the weapons? Or can you keep them and it’ll still have the same effect?
Dont all the soldiers just have a specific type of weapon every time, like a one handed would always have one handed no matter what, do they ever change what type if youve never loaded it in?
This was eye opening. I'd been avoiding the soldiers because I kept finding the same weapons. Didn't realize you had to clear their inventory.
It’d be a fun drinking game to take a shot every time Austin John says “go ahead” in a video lol
