@Lowysfishing mate not wrong when it comes to boat maintenance and not be able to use it. It's great your back on the water mate keep up the good work.
@@andrewburrell5814 yer iv been watching other ppl fish aswell when iv been home. Not as much fun as being out there but passed the time ok. Thanks for watching andrew 👍
Not surprised there's jewies there; I've seen them swimming against the outflow from those lagoons on the north/west shore of the island when fishing bream with the kids.
Dave so good. Sitting at home sux but work kept me busy enough and paid for all the stuff iv done to the boat. Still got plenty of work coming up however so not sure how many videos il get out. See what happens 🤞
Tough call, iv had good sessions on both. High is good as long as its not mega tides like 2 metres. Then it flows too fast for where an how i like to fish. Any tide change on first light is the go low or high.
Most likely where there made mate. That will be the cost difference. Japanese lures vs chinese lures there is always a big price difference. Same with other types of lures like swimbaits, megabass lures vs berkley lures. Even if they look the same there not.
Hey mate. Dont worry ive had plenty of zeros over the years. I dont find any months any better or worse i recon. Its just important that u fish wheres thers baitfish. Then your a way better chance of finding hungry jewys. Its a process but like anything you learn each time u go out 👍
@@Bluewater-fever very true mate. Mine was out of action an i didnt even fish thats how much i like it 🤣 i couldnt bring myself to head out with no electric especially in the wind or current.
Gday Andrew could i get some advice off you please mate , i want to have a go a catching "big Jewfish" and " " big Kingfish ", i have just purchased a " Venom 15- 40 lb spin rod (model RLFVS10 ) (COST ME $515) my question is "do you think this rod is big enough to catch these species of fish ???? (purchased the rod at "Hot Tackle" Warners bay ) , thanks Mate ! .
Easy big enough mate. I use 10-15lb line there in the lake with either a 15-20lb leader. Most fish i hook are out in the open so not much chance of getting busted off. Different story close to structure chasing kings. 40lb line much better around the bridge and markers but for the jewys 10-15lb mainline more than enough 👍
Haha did u notice i only put the fish on the old floor 🤣 thinking maybe a mat or something to rest them on aswell so i dont fithy it up. Hopefully i can get out there again soon works been busy and the repairs an parts took ages to get.
Hi Andrew, When looking for fishing grounds is there a specific criteria that you use? I'm keen to get into lures and was trying to work a system to find potential areas on the boat.
Hey mate, yer i definitely look for certain fish holding areas. Rockwalls ,eddys dropoffs etc. I like places that have current so plenty of bait can swim past the spot. An deep water close to shallow water is great aswell where it drops down 👍
@@Lowysfishing do you look for the structures and features then blind cast the vibes or do you kind of scout around with your sounder? Also do you hold with the spotlock or do you drift around ? I always intend to go out with learning to use jigs and find new grounds but I always get impatient and go back to live bait and cut baits
@@edselaquino9590 normally spotlock an cast vibes or 4-5 inch placcys just to feel out the bottom an see what fish are about. If i get nothing then il sound over it an mark stuff thats interesting and then try there again on another tide.
Yer i know what your saying. Hard to keep casting if u catch none an u dont have confidence in lures. So going to bait at least u feel good about it. Lures obviously work its just a matter of the right lure for the right fish u want to catch. Try to match what baitfish are around an specifically the size. If theres small baitfish use small lures and so on. You will get more bites that way cause your using the same size lure as what the fish normally eat. Colour can be anything really.
Superb angling on that second mulloway mate, patience rewarded
Cheers mate thanks for watching. Jewys are always good fun to fight an so satisfying to land 🙌
Great to see back on the water.👍👍👍
Thanks John felt good cruising down the river finally.
Look whos back Andrew is back 👍.

Glad to see you back mate.

sweet ! yeah there’s thousands of little guys in the system at the moment
Cant wait until there all bigger 🤣

Great lures, but i would say I'm not sure why they're 30% pricier than Samaki.
