    Hello!. I also bought the pair from Amazon. I wanted to ask whether you got the box unsealed like me..!!??

      When I bought them it was through amazon warehouse deals so it had previously been opened, but expected. Sorry can't help further!

    samson sr850 vs sr950??which one is good for mixing n mastering??i live in place where sound is much ambient..pls reply

      I'm a month late but I'll try to help if you still need it. SR850 are better for mixing as they are semi-open-back headphones, they have better Soundstage and frequency response, but they don't isolate external noises.
      SR950 are better for recording especially vocals / something else that uses microphone to record the sounds. The 950 benefits from the closed-back design, so the sound of the headphones will not get out to the environment and vice versa.
      I suggest the 950 if you're working in a noisy environment. If not, maybe the 850 will be the better option.

    Would you recommend these headphones for mixing vocals?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I'd say they are pretty decent for mixing type purposes. The frequency response is flatter than your standard consumer headphones so you get a better representation of the sounds.

    Sorry kind of unrelated question. Would you know if the Sony MDR7506 headphone, which I believe is quite popular in studios, also offers a bloated bass response. Was considering it but am a bit wary of Sony headphones for just that reason. Thanks!

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  4 роки тому

      To my knowledge those headphones are highly regarded for studio monitoring so I think they would work great! They were one of the earliest models!

    • @accentontheoff
      @accentontheoff 4 роки тому

      @@nish_ttp Yep, that does makes sense. I presume the others are more consumer headphones, hence the boosted bass. Thanks.

    Is the sound quality better than Sony?? Is Semi open back better in therms of sound quality??

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  5 років тому +1

      It really depends what you want out of the headphones. Is it more accurate + crisp? Yes, is it more 'fun' and bassy? No.

    SR805 or Superlux HD681?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  4 роки тому +3

      That's a tough one, I think if you have any concern over the comfort you would likely be better with the Samsons.
      I think either way you will have a cracking pair of headphones!

    • @rittis013

      I was just like you and I went with SR805, man! one of the best headphone i've ever had, not regret one bit

  • @vinaynb63
    @vinaynb63 6 років тому +3

    How is the bass?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  6 років тому +2

      I'd say it's accurate meaning not so boomy or 'fun' like more average consumer aimed headphones like beats or even the mdr-1a which I reviewed. Adequate unless you're a real basshead.

    I have these and I’m thinking about replacing the ear pads with some velour memory foam ones. Do you think that would make them more comfortable?

    • @nish_ttp
      @nish_ttp  Рік тому

      Yeah I think any aftermarket pads would be an improvement. Beware that they are quite large though so make sure the ones you get are compatible

      you can use it without amp since the impedance is only 32ohms. Your laptop/Mobile phone can drive these HPs very well. :)
