It starts with the line “Took the knife from her back, and she cut through her wrist” and later in the song she says “Kill the old me, I’m the true Nova.” She also calls herself a “Super Nova”, and a supernova is a star that dies before it is reborn as a number of other space phenomena (sometimes a black hole, other times an object that is even brighter than the original star). She killed the version of herself that everyone else tried to force her to become, the version that wanted to please other people. She became her own person and now she doesn’t care what anybody else thinks of her.

At 60 years old I have listened to all kinds of music through my life, never really been into rap due to the context of the songs and the fact that half the time I cant even hear what is being said, but with both Nova and Tom they sing about 'Reality' and I can make out every word, been listening to a lot of their stuff lately and just love it, thank you for bringing this old boy back to life, stay strong and keep safe, love to you both !

You can get your point or message across without being vulgar. I'm absolutely not going to be driving with my grandkids listening to vulgar lyrics going, I myself can't stand the vulgar, nastiness. Tom is a great example of it. I didn't play, listen to it, hate pulling up to get gas when someone pulled up blasting everyone else around, never turning the blast down when my own kids in my vehicle much less myself not wanting to hear it. Cool you like it, that's okay but have a little respect for others and turn it down because not everyone enjoys vulgar, disrespectful, degrading lyrics. Tom's lyrics are great without getting stooping down to that level.
