I have quiet a few the 1st are from the same coworker. He had already been working there a few years when I started we were both cooks & for some reason he didnt like me from day 1. I think it could be that he saw me as a threat because from day 1 was getting praised by the boss. Anyways the 1st incident happened when I was washing my knife because I had just finish cutting raw meat. As a rule of thumb we were supposed to announce ourselves when walking behind each other however he was deaf so we were told to tap him on the shoulder & he was supposed to do the same. Only he didn't do so, so as I sprayed the knife with the hose it ricocheted & wet him he turns around then grabs me by my arm & turns me saying I wet him b4 I can apologize he grabs a pot that was in the soap water & tries splashing it on me but I blocked it b4 things escalated the other coworker gets my bosses attention & she stopped it. We got called in individually to HR to give our versions of events. He went 1st so he said I purposely wet him & when he asked me to apologize I just smiled. I told my version & luckily for me the other coworker saw the whole thing & her version confirmed I told the truth & he lied. Now while I was vindicated it wasn't that satisfying because he didn't get in trouble he used his disability as an excuse claiming it was a miscommunication. Fast fwd about 4 years we had other issues but nothing involving hr but by now they had just recently put cameras in because he had issues with other employees including 3 cases of inappropriate touching. However he still wasn't reprimanded because he kept using his disability as a crutch plus they could never prove it because it was he said she said. Tbh I believe he did it but I never actually saw it but the 3 incidents happened at 3 different points in time & tge 3 girls were never working there at the same time so it couldn't be 1 of those cases where 1 girl accuses then all of a sudden a bunch come out. Also the lady from the 1st story told me he did it to her too that she was in the walk in fridge grabbing something thing from the bottom shelf & he walked behind her & rubbed his crotch against her butt but she was afraid of saying anything because the last person that said something about it got transferred to a different dept & she liked the kitchen. Anyways on this last incident I was walking behind him & tapped him on the shoulder he told me not to touch him i said its the rules if the boss says not to touch u I won't. Next time I was walking behind him he moved outta the way when I tried tapping him some time later I passed behind him & tapped him on my way to the pantry he mustve not liked it because he chased me down & started tapping my shoulder hard so I mouthed to him dont phucking hit me he said phuck u so I said it back & then he signaled like he wanted to step outside so I said let's go but he didnt follow. The next thing I know I was called to HR he complained that I told him phuck u. I told him how things went. Luckily now they had the camera footage to back up my story. He got written up & I got a warning for cussing at him. He ended up getting fired not long after because he was in the bosses office looking around. But I say he shouldve been fired a long time ago especially because he once stuck his finger in my lunch when I was in the bathroom when I got back my coworker said dont eat your food I saw him stick his finger in it. I told my boss so they had security check the footage & yup he did but only got a warning
Not necessarily lies, but misinformation due to their ego. I work from home for a call center, and we have a group text chat that we use to communicate with each other, ask questions, etc. I've been with this company for nearly 4 years, and even spent a year and a half in the complaint department, so I've had a unique opportunity to learn our company's policies, as well as the client's policies inside and out. I'm also a really helpful person by nature, so I try to keep an eye on the chat to help answer questions as much as I can. Most of the team leads (TL) appreciate this, and will even pull me from the phones sometimes so I can focus strictly on the chat when the TL's are busy or understaffed. Most of them love me, but this one TL Karen for some reason just hates me. I'll be helping someone out in the chat, and about 5-10 minutes in, Karen will come in and try to correct me, without even reading back to see what's going on.
There have been times where someone was having trouble with a sale because the rates were too high, so I'll advise them off all the rebuttal options, and Karen will come in and delete my messages and tell them they have to give the regular rate first, and that rebuttals are only for if the customer doesn't like the regular rate. Except that they DID give them the rate, but it was too high, so it's already time for the rebuttals. Times when an agent is getting abused by a customer, and I remind them that company policy says that if they swear at us, or call us outside our names, we can give them a single warning and hang up if they continue. She then deletes this and tells them they are absolutely NOT to hang up on the customer. Times where it's a complicated issue, and I'll give them an answer based on the specifics of their issue, and then she just comes in and gives them a completely unrelated answer because she couldn't be bothered to read through the issue. I've even seen her contradict OTHER TL's who come in and CONFIRM what I'd already told the agent. She'll even delete or contradict helpful posts I'll make via chat about ways people can lower their call times, deal with difficult customers, and entice people with our policies. Which, the other TL's love that I do, because it helps the newer people learn from my experience, and the newer people are grateful because it helps their own quality and sales to get more bonuses.
And to top it all off, she reports me to HER boss about me trying to ensure people get correct information, and not the messed up stuff she's telling people. Because "I'm not a TL and I'll confuse the new people". Okay, fine then. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Ever since that meeting, I've made sure to report her to her boss, and the other TL's whenever she gives misinformation in the chat. Which, honestly seems to be working, because she's barely ever in anymore. I don't know if they just changed her schedule or what, but last time I saw her in the chat was over a month ago. Really hoping she just gets removed as a TL, because we really don't need someone who puts her own ego above all else in that position.
