Everyone talks about how much less blood it is than you think so I thought yay! I can leave it in for ages! So I'm about to leave the house for an appointment (cup hs been in for around 6-7 hours at this point) and I see some spotting. I had taken a nap so I thought it might have shifted. So I attempt to break the suction.. And the moment I do a literal Niagara Falls cascades over my hands. Onto the floor. It was horrifying. Like something out of vampire diaries. So long story short. Just because you CAN leave it in for 12 hours doesn't mean you should. Also always check your cup before you leave the house. Besides this v traumatic event the cup has been great!
I had a similar experience! I wore it for a little too long because I couldn't remove it at school (public bathroom, basically), and I also had a Niagara Falls situation. I haven't used it since.
Lmao this has also happened to me! 😂 It got me real comfortable with my body real quick :P After that experience, I'm so not bothered by anything anymore.

This sounds oddly perfect. Due to the medications I take, I have super light, but very long (9+ days) cycles. It's only worth messing with tampons on my 2 heaviest days, and the rest of the time I'm awkwardly stuck in panty-liner land. I bet I could use these alone for the vast majority of the time. The idea of period underwear has always freaked me out but it sounds like the things I was most worried about were non-issues. Ordering 2 pairs now!
This is exactly why I started using a cup! I cannot with tampons but panty liners are so annoying. Now I use my cup, even if there's little to no blood, it feels like nothing's there.

I’m curious about smell... let’s be real. Periods have an odor whether it’s big or small! I would think wearing a pair all day would start to have an odor. 🤔
When, I'm not using a cup, I wear a cloth pad and period underwear. For half the day I use the pad. Then find a private bathroom and rinse the pad well with cold water and soap and put it in a wet bag. Then continue with these the second half of the day.

Thank you. See this is why I LOVE UA-cam! Because anything you need to know about anything is reviewed here. Thank you and all other creators for not giving any 🦆 Ducks to review things like this. You are appreciated ❤️
I was actually just thinking for like people with incontinence issues or like older women who pee a little when they sneeze. Genuinely I really appreciate you sharing this content.
SAM YOU LOOK LIKE AN ANGEL IN THIS LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS
That eyeshadow is glorious, I'd love to see a tutorial on it!
Literally some of my fav Samatha videos. You say everything I’m thinking and you way of explaining things without using very specific words to make it less ew and more informative. I’m obsessed.
I love how you’ve just been taking your channel wherever you want lol 😂
Would love to see reviews on other brands. Especially the ones that claim to be a replacement for pads rather than a backup. Love this series!! You have filled the internet void 💕💕
“It’s natural” XD *truest true*
You look radiant and amazing and mega beautiful in this video. The period cups are giving you such a glow!!
These sound amazing to sleep in and not have a liner or pad make me feel all uncomfortable! Thank you Sam for this content!!
I swear, this is the only review I could find where someone actually properly tested the underwear during their period. Thank you!
“Swampy situation” I actually laughed out loud!! How no man wants to know how we refer to our downstairs but it’s so accurate bahahahah
Oh god i hope there'll be more period talk, this is absolutely my favourite thing ever. Also this background is majestic as f*** 😘😘😘😘
What are you wearing on your eyes? I’m mesmerized by how good this soft beat look looks!
Britny Wilson same!!!!
I love my leakproof ones from Knix! Period undies + saalt cup = *chef’s kiss*
Yesss! I'm way too excited about this! Sam, you're the only one I trust to recommend period products.
Can't wait for approachable season 3 btw.
Absolutely one of my favourite UA-camrs. You're so real and say and look at all the things we're all thinking about.
Also, can't think of anyone else that could look so fucking beautiful while talking about bleeding everywhere 😂
PLEASE DO A TUT ON THIS LOOK!!! Even tho its probably just 3 basic ass colors I need to learn how to look exactly like you 😅😅😅
I would love for you to try reviewing some other period panties the way you did the period cups! Thanks for keeping it real with us.
It’s this week’s edition, “Cups and Undies” on the “Approachable Period” with (drumroll) ...Sam!
Remember! Don’t put them in the dishwasher!
ohhh my fav period product review channel
I couldn't get the Saalt cup in (endometriosis represent!), and my flow is super light, so these might be a good idea for men thanks for the review, Fairy Menses-mother!
Carly Street *men* ??? 😄😄😄😄 gotta love autocorrect
@@shirleyens7707 Ha, amazing. I'm gonna leave it in 😁
Of all the things you could use your platform for, this is definitely one of the best
‘Put it in the dishwasher.....’
🤣🤣🤣😭🤣😂
I know you did this a while ago but, thank you for doing it. The information was instrumental in finalizing my buying decision. Doc put me on blood thinners last Dec after bilateral pulmonary embolisms and the blood thinners make controlling the "bloodbath" really difficult. Appreciate you taking the time to do the review and help a sista out!
Even though I haven’t had a period in years (pregnancy, breastfeeding and pregnancy again) I still enjoy your videos about it 😂 it’s a good time 😂😂😂
These are an absolute life-saver when you are postpartum and have bladder leakage. I haven't had a chance to try with a period, but after a 4th degree tear I had issues and was wearing cloth pads daily. They get really uncomfortable after a while and I was desperate to try something else, but still sustainable. I was so so so impressed with these and to me, it was well worth the expense!
Thanks for reviewing!
Whenever my boyfriend sees me watching you he says “that’s period cup girl” 😂 I never thought I’d be so eager to watch videos about menstrual products!❣️
Samantha, your skin looks AWESOME. Also, A++ on your eye look. Stunning as normal.
“Put it right in the dishwasher, DONT put it in the DISHWASHER ew?????”
HAHAHAHA
I always used my knix as backup to my menstrual cup. Truly the best combo
Honestly I won't be having a period for 9 months but I still watched the whole thing because I love your videos.😂
YES I LOVE THAT YOU MENTIONED MENSTRUATORS WITH DISABILITIES BENEFITTING FROM THESE OVER CUPS. I had never considered it (a little ashamed for it tbh, having a disabled partner should make me more aware) and it makes perfect sense. No one has ever corrected me when I say everyone who has a period should use a cup, and now I feel way more conscious of that statement. THANK YOU.
Why do I watch these videos!! I’ve had a hysterectomy! I’m obsessed
Amanda Okorie LMAO
You are such a great influencer for talking about all these issues that everyone is trying to avoid on social media and real life ! Keep going Sam, you are an inspiration to all !
May we please get a tutorial on this makeup look!! Especially the eyes🥰🥰🥰
Wow! Technology + some bright spark = _your modern convenience_ !
If it’s going to mean you are more environmentally responsible, then just do it.
Thanks Sam for endorsing this excellent product!
This is the Thanksgiving content I've been waiting for. 🩲🩸
I have been pregnant for literally every single period related video that you’ve made but I still love this content. I hope these underwear are still around when my daughter starts her period to eliminate the middle school period terror that we all experienced.
Can I just say your hair looks gorgeous...not just your hair... But like wow, it's shining
So this was playing on my tv when Instacart came a knocking... lemme tell ya, that middle aged man couldn’t get away fast enough 😂
Jaymi Leigh omg ahahahahahaha
“You always think you’ll be the one anomaly it doesn’t work for” LOL my exact thoughts! i love your period series
I’ve never clicked on a video so quickly before
