I've walked this valley more times than I can remember since being 12 with my dad ,52 now and I never get fed up of it...if you've ever walked it in the eve when all the townies have left it's so peaceful and enchanting...this is the place I want my ashes spread just like my dad's were.
We have been here in the evening yes, it’s absolutely beautiful. One of our favourite brook walks for sure. Thanks for sharing your story with us Steve! 🙏🏻
@@LancashireLadWalks you're welcome Lancashire lads,I'm planning going tomorrow ,you're channel is great ,I've some walks to do I didn't know about, thanks
It's been speculated that Langdon Castle is the "Dark foreboding place" described in Arthurian legend for the location of the green chapel where Gawain fought the green knight for the holy grail. It's a strange place and those arched Jamme stones in the now cattle shed are completely out of place. Besides this building is on the original track from the Ribble Valley to Lancaster where the Pendle witches will have been taken for trial. I've always though this is one of those places that needs a time team investigation. Nice walk and well worth a look. BTW - this would have been within range of JRR Tolkien when he lived nearby - and what book did he write?
Hi Andrew, not sure as the link in this video description does take you right to our Insta. Maybe search Lancashire Lads on Instagram, you should spot our content. @lancashirelads.life
Have you walked here at Langden Brook before? Let us know your thoughts on the walk below :)
Aye, it's a great place, usually go up there a few times a year. Shame the burger van has moved on though, they had some excellent quality eats
Really enjoyed this with my toast debs xx
Ah thanks Debs! Appreciate the feedback, and I hope there was some sort of jam or marmolade on that toast of yours! 🍞🤓
