wow I use to love my blaupunkt EQ..I remember when I switched to the clarion one...I still have my old Kenwood and digital display alpine bbe eq...I even have my ppi art series amps in almost mint condition as well as some old sound stream and kicker amps still in the box.
I have that alpine 3331 EQ! Its awesome and I’m using it in my car currently!

Great video man. Just absolutely fan-frikkin-tastic! I've heard one of those funny shaped Boston's before. TIGHT bass from that thing. And I loved the USAcoustics. And the Mcintosh! OMG that McIntosh! And I've been into car audio since the 90's, and have never seen that crazy EQ thing you showed, never. Oh, and HiFi Vega's setup is super sweet. That's totally my type of setup. Just awesome.

Always wandered to hear how the Boston spg555 sub performed but they were way expensive when they came out.
1:50 That thing doubles as a furnace lol! I'll bet it will do twice it's rated power with no problem. That's something i'd actually consider for a "SQ" setup, transistor cans like that are very stable with power.

wooooooow... that mc 4000m is just wow... I had the priviledge to own two mcintosh amps, mc420m and mc431m with a alpine 7949 and a pxa-h600 processor... just so sad mcintosh stopped making these beauty !

I bad a bad ass black 4 channel Linear power amp like that orange one and i had to running a pair of alpine 3 way 6x9s and a set of Mb Quartz separates on my 83 prelude and damn that Amp was such a great lil amp it made them high and mids sounds amazing also had a series 7 HIFONICS boltar pushing 2 12 inch s12a barics damn i miss the 90s so many amp so many set ups hahaha

That McIntosh amp is so freaking awesome. The only person I ever saw one with, is Soundman. I love the old school bass stuff. I'm 37yrs old, so I know I'm not that old but I I'm old enough to remember and have had some stuff. My subs are Rockford Fosgate HX2s from 1999 and my RF punch 1000 watt amp is from 2000 and I bump every day. My buddy Kevin has 2 12in Savards from the early 90s. He's 46yrs old and he hasn't used them since like 1999 or 2000 and I want to buy them off of him but he won't sell em. I don't remember what kind of amp he has but he probably still has that to. I know the new stuff bangs but I will keep bumping my 19yr old subs til they blow, then I will buy new school stuff.
I had a pair of those Infiniti subs in an Olds Intrigue. I built an aperiodic enclosure where the subs sat in a small .5 cf enclosure and fed through some fiberfill pressed between two pieces of wire mesh. They were fed nicely with old school PPI in a nice trunk mounted rack with glass top. Unfortunately the transmission died before I could finish the trim panels but those were the nicest sounding subs I've heard. I've got build pics if anyone is interested. Hehe
those Blaupunkt EQ's were quite popular.... Blaupunkt made some of the best gear in them days.... I think I have pictures of a Testarossa install where I installed one of them.... Memories BDBD/2021

When you going to or have you done a dyno run on a rodek amp? I ran plenty of these in the early 90's and was always impressed with them. So just curious on what they actually pushed.

1:08 I had the 12 inch Rock box in 99. I rocked it until my buddy Marc showed me how to build my own subwoofer boxes. I fried them subs with a big Audiobahn class D amp.

hey big d, do you think the alpine 3566 could handle 2 ohms bridged? it is stable in 2 ohms if I don't bridge channels 5 &6, but the manual doesn't specify on bridged mode

If you'll humbly let me purchase a classic HCCA or even the extreme series. Ivr started my Orion collection based off your vids an Dynos an even the explanation of the history of Orion. My first Orion hcca 150R.half ohm stereo capable came. I got it for such a sweet deal!

I'm 40 now and when I was like 17, 18 this amp was going around... There was only one and never could find another. BLAUPUNKT BMA... It had a sub output and you could run your hood and mid on it... I swear it was a 6 channel... You know model? I figure you have to know.... We had it on 2 jl w6 and I couldn't even push my break pedal down when it was turned up.... Please someone or big D tell me?? Ty in advance

McIntosh is epic in the audio scene. My dad has an oldskool 1980’s McIntosh amp & pre amp (that I inherited) for his home audio setup & that thing is BEASTLY. 1000 watt amp with huge capacitors in the back & the thing weighs so much that it’ll pull your back out lol. It’s powering oldskool corner-loaded “Klipsch Horn” speakers (before Klipsch sold out lol) & 2 oldskool B&W tower speakers. Pure, clean POWER! 💪🏾💪🏾👂🏽👂🏽

I can never get sick of old school. I swear class a takes a ton of current and voltage but damn did it have guts to push a sub. I still cant even explain how my hcca 275g4 would murder my mmats procast 12s. People would plug their ears. Now i have sundown 3000d on fi ssd 12s. And its crazy as all hell. But if i had two of those hccas on each omg. But also omg alternators and batteries

For u amateurs many of these old school amps rated under 100w were actually called cheater amps. They did as much as 8xs he labeled power. For instance a HCCA 50watts orion. Did 400w at half ohm. So don't think systems with 50watt amps are just that. They BANG!!!!
