How the Clippers Did What Everyone Thought Was Impossible

  • The Los Angeles Clippers have been one of the most dominant teams in the NBA when they've had Kawhi Leonard healthy and in the lineup alongside James Harden and Paul George. Despite questions about whether or not teams constructed with three seemingly "ball-dominant" players can word, the LA Clippers offense is firing on all cylinders and dominating teams on a nightly basis.
James Harden is having one of the best off-ball seasons of his entire career on the offensive end, and the trio of James Harden, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard are all having career-high years in terms of catch and shoot efficiency. This isn't by accident; it's intentional. Ty Lue has orchestrated a masterful offense for the Los Angeles Clippers around this group of guys, and it's make the James Harden trade look genius.

For sure the combination of PG Kawhi and Harden is almost impossible to guard for opposing teams and the added big man play from Zubac setting great screens and rolling perfectly, ready for a Harden or Westbrook dump-down or lob makes this team a force

I've seen so many superteams, so called, that couldn't figure out how to work together. I am actually impressed with the way the Clippers are working together, to make their offense better than the sum of its parts. I'm actually kind of rooting for them to stay healthy and go as far as they can.
Which is amazing considering that last year, PG and Kawhi were jokes of load management, Russ was coming off an awful Lakers stint, and Harden might have had the absolute worst rep by forcing his way out of Philly. Now look at them.

Harden has been the key. He looks like mvp candidate

Clippers probably also have most gorgeous looking play of the season when all 4 of 5 starters touched the ball leading to a Zu lob. Do you know which play im talking about? Clips win it all this year!!

Kawhi and PG can play off ball. That’s why they can gell together with Harden

Russ has also been strangely efficient... for him.
Props to Ty Lou for coaching the best offense the Cavaliers ever had and the best offense the Clippers ever had. An all NBA big 3 doesn't hurt, but we've seen it not work out a few times, too.

he is not forcing shoot anymore... and now as leader of 2nd unit, he can play his style without interrupting 1st unit rhythm...

All the people telling me Kawai was washed are now acting like they never said it. 😂 I was trying to tell everyone Kawhi Leonard‘s knee had a botched surgery. he needed to get surgery again or a complete year off. But there were so much media pressure and all the idiots who are sheep and repeat exactly what they are told would not allow that.
So it was a blessing in disguise that is ACL tore again because he got proper surgery this time. All the haters saying how he’s perpetually injured do not understand when you get a ligament replaced and it’s botched, it’s completely unstable and can go at any moment and that’s what Kawaii was feeling for the last two years. When he tore his knee, he still scored 38 points in the playoffs two games in a row, and when he’s on the court, he’s always the best player there is.
If he had a better personality, we would talk about him as one of the greatest .
