We have a small propane grill we cook on outside our R.Pod camper as well as a rug like yours, And we have the same pop up garbage can that we love. We tend to boon dock most of the time. We love the beauty, peace, and freedom of camping!

@@theMennoniteMom not sure of the brand but it was a Walmart buy. It has the little propane canister that you can twist on and off of it. We have been using those types of grills for years. I think this might be our third one.

Put a slip-on end cap to that valve spout to cover the opening and keep the mud and road oil and grime out driving down the road especially in rainy weather. Will save the ball valve from fine dust grit binding up on its glide

Nice camper. You must be from the Midwest for you pronounce "Route" the same way I do - "raut." But you may be interested to know that "Route 66" (the legendary obsolete highway which has a song named after it) is pronounced "Root 66." Happy camping! :-)

I am a middle aged woman who also gets warm very quickly. I live in Michigan and our summers be very humid. Can I suggest that you wear cotton or linen dresses? I think that they would be much more comfortable. I tend to wear only cotton in the summer and I have some linen tops also and I find both of those materials much more comfortable. Love your videos, I am a new sub, I love your camper too!

Enjoy. Make sure Zander sleeps at the bottom. Our cousin had a horrible story. Their little girl fell from their top bunk in camper and got injured really bad. Broken jaw and other stuff. Sire mouth for months. So keep him on the bottom. Just grandmother giving advise. Safe camping. Wish we still had ours.

Bad luck, poor girl. The big sister of my father fell out the top bed and slept on the ground without waking up, rolled up in her bed.
I was a single mum with 5 children and used to do everything put up 6ft fencing painting decorating anything that needed doing my and neighbour's used to offer but I wanted to do I also worked fulltime your son is so cute we have a touring caravan only 2 berth but it's good for me and my husband

Just love your trailer when i was growing up we had a little red and white trailer it wasnt moveable so we had it parked at a camp site called camp dearborn . We would spend the weekends there because my parents worked during the week . That was in the 70s it was a big part of my childhood i sure miss those days thanyou for sharing your trailer. Beautiful looking camper trailer. I'm generally not a fan of *"retro"* anything. I'd prefer either *"brand new"* or *"old-school"* old. But I think if done right, the new can look *"old-school"* cool.

I agree, I have wanted one or something similar. Hey now have the roof top camping tents but boy the price on those are just as much or more than what you can get a trailer for. And with a tent...well it’s a tent however nice it is.

My in-laws loved to camp. They had a Volkswagen bus that was a camper. My father in-law was a fantastic mechanic. He souped up the engine so they could go out West and travel through the mountains. He mounted a swing-arm behind the front passenger seat and bolted the Coleman cookstove to it. When you opened the side sliding door it would swing out. My mother in-law could stand by it and cook. They took a 6 week trip when they retired from here in Baltimore, up through Wisconsin, across Canada, down the west coast of the US and back across the country.

What a cute trailer! I grew up in a large family, and we live in AK, so we’ve driven up and down the Alaska Canada Highway with our various trailers several times. In 2006, we even drove all the way to Ohio in six days. 😂

Unless I'm mistaken, travel trailers, or *"caravans"* depending on where you're from in the world, don't have an engine. They rely on either a car, a truck, SUV, or a van to be moved. :)

Jut watched your Christmas on plane video. You were in my neck of the woos, well you were close. We live in Cove, Oregon which is against Mt Fanny 15 miles from La Grande, Or. and about 115 miles from Ontario, Or. Donna

My husband and I aren't really into camping; but your videos always make it look lovely. His brother and their family comes and camps in our yard (I know, that sounds funny-especially since we live in a little neighborhood.) We have a hook up for them and it's just cheaper for them in the long run to do it that way.
All that aside, we have thought that if the Lord wanted us to, we would sell our home and get a camper to be able to travel and minister...however; there's no definite direction, so for now we just do what we do where we are at.😊(Happy belated birthday, Nolan!)

It's a win-win situation. We get to spend two -three weeks with them, and neither family is under any obligation to do anything for the other. While there's many meals and snacks we share, there's not an assumption that either family will provide it all.
I firmly believe that we must always be listening for the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit guiding us elsewhere. So many people say "Lord, don't send me...." and that's where they go. Yesterday in our family devotion time the author told how he and his wife were called to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and I told my family that must be terrible. Please don't send us to a tropical island.😉
In all seriousness, we mean to mind God, where ever He would have us be and whatever He desires us to do.

I'm stealing your outdoor utensil container idea! That'll be much handier and won't need to be constantly going back in to get things!! Our camper is nothing great, our family of 5 is squished into it!! We have a queen bed, table turns into a bed and the narrow couch!! 😳🤷♀️ but it makes memories!❤
(And I totally understand how it is to get things done if you want them done!!😉🤗 my husband is a custom manure hauler, so busy!! He loves my independence and how I don't mind getting my hands dirty. His mother and sister wouldn't have but i was raised on z farm, 5 girls 1 boy(the baby!) 2 of us were "the boys"...😉 but we loved it!

A little envy there. As I said to u once before, wish we did this when our boys were growing up. Now is not the time to start camping at least for us. Urs is a cutie n ur going to have so many great memories with it. I’m definitely impressed with ur skills at what u did to the camper to make things a lot easier.
