Always fun figuring out who the lemming(s) of the group with 0 self preservation is(are). Some just think a mine is some form of loot (hubcap, wheel, roomba, you name it), some try to "defuse" it with a shovel, some are just deaf, blind and maybe a little stupid, all are great assets to the company (as long as they meet quota).
I still think my favourite moment of this game so far was when I stepped on a landmine, my companion and I debated about if I was actually stepping on it, it ended with me stepping off it, killing us both and leaving our last member in the ship with no idea we were even in danger

Every death me or my fellow interns endure, feels like a horror movie. The screaming down the halls until there is nothing but silence. Not knowing whos dead when your walkie dies. Coming back to the ship to realize your comms guy has been dead the whole time. Its all so great. I'm gonna go play it now
The whole game is like this. IDK how the dev did it, but this game just always has perfect timing. Every monster encounter, every dead friend, everything is a scene straight from a horror movie, and none of it is scripted. Actually incredible game.
This game is genius. It's Starship Troopers tier satire about working at a company that gives no shits about you, and will actively hurt you if it deems it profitable or necessary.

Then in that case, it doesn’t stand as having anything of substance without that satire. Which would be more accurate. Lethal Company does on the other hand have an extremely high quality of satire and both actual substance to it.
My favorite moment was when we had 2 new members with us and landed and were showing them the ropes. After the first quota we landed on a rainy planet and both me and my other veteran member jumped of the ship and immediately fell into a quicksand pit killing us right away and leave the 2 newbies to just watch and then have to complete the whole mission by themselves.
I don't think a game has ever scared me so fast. I booted it up with my sibling, we messed around, landed the ship, and walked out of ear shot of eachother. That sudden silence and lonliness was actually horrifying. Its hard to put into words how valuable communication is and how much we take it for granted in our hyper connected world. That feeling of "oh shit, if I die here no one will know what happened" is equal parts exhilarating and horrifying.
I love how it looks, it's so stylized and full of personality. The monsters feel like actual unique creatures not an arbitrary enemy. Nothing feels manufactured just to scare you.
I actually love this take. Most of the stuff is more goofy than scary, but because you know just about everything can/will kill you, and theres a chance nobody will know, that's the thing thats scary.
This fuckin' game gave me a god damn phobia of mannequins. That SCP-173, weeping angel ass thing in the mansion was the most terrifying thing I have experienced in a long time
I think the lack of interfaces / UI is a thing where this game really shines too. Interacting with stuff directly is so much better than with an immersion breaking interace. It's also really smart for this indie dev, because this way you have to do minimal UX/UI design.

You know what makes this game so much better while using voice chat? There's a mod called "Skinwalkers" that records audio from you and your friends and plays it back at the location of the monsters. Some of my friends were playing a game where one of them died and #2 was looking for him, and he shouted out "[#1] where are you?" and a monster replied in #1's voice, so #2 didn't realize he was dead until much later. There's tons of hilarious clips that resulted from this mod, I urge you to check it out
For anyone wondering, the atomic mirror brain segment came to Habie from astral gods. Habie said that the gods came to him in a dream and said to him "Habie, the key to success is to yell at people that give you money." Supposedly Habie woke up in a sea of sweat and thought to make the supreme Atomic Mirror Brain and to yell at them every episode. That is story time, come back next week for more Habie lore.

this game is made by the same guy who made "the upturned" which is a similar style of 'funny horror'...similar animation style and sound design as well. so it's really no surprise it's so funny, and i feel like it'll only get better as development goes on, i love it.

In one the first couple games me and my friend played, I went into the building first and stepped on a land mine right next to the entry room thinking it was scrap. My friend had fallen behind and was being paranoid about the 4 winged birds, ran inside warning me saying “there’s something in the sky.” Just to see my dead body and immediately go completely silent with no idea how I died.
I remember the first time I played this game I went in completely blind with one of my friends. Me and that guy spend about 30 minutes being terrified of a hoarding bug.
The thing im most excited about, is that this game is not done. Its some of the most fun ive ever had in a multiplayer game and it doesnt feel incomplete, but the developers have said that they have so much more planned for this game. Wouldn't say Lethal Company got so good BECAUSE of proximity chat, its a part of the ingredients in this horror cake. Many horror games have had prox chat, what makes lethal different is the gameplay surrounding it compliments prox chat as one of it's additions rather than something just thrown in, the experience is well crafted with it as apart of it's mechanics.

Wouldn't say Lethal Company got so good BECAUSE of proximity chat, its a part of the ingredients in this horror cake. Many horror games have had prox chat, what makes lethal different is the gameplay surrounding it compliments prox chat as one of it's additions rather than something just thrown in, the experience is well crafted with it as apart of it's mechanics.
