Wow-this the best segment you've ever had..please have more intelligent, thoughtful hockey players on..I know that is hard to find - let alone get them on the show.. Kovalev should really be in NHL management.
I could listen to Kovalev ramble about hockey for hours
His comment reminded me of Tom Brady saying quarterbacks now are less accurate because they don’t worry as much about their receivers getting brutally hit as hard across the middle… He noted that he took responsibility for his receivers making sure they were not vulnerable for big hits, which in turn required more skills and accuracy.

Kovalev can be so right in saying, that Rangers will loose because of their too offensive defense. Normally you win cups with great defense. At least they lost 3-0 the first game... And its nit due to goalie.

The Kings took the captaincy from Brown and gave it to Kopitar. It didn't exactly work, but if you can do it to a two-time cup winner, you can do it to JT, who hasn't won a single cup as captain.

He was the laziest player of all time. Tons of talent but a diva attitude. Him and Subban are the most overratted players in nhl history.
Who Kovalev ? I didn't ever see him enough - the players that played with him all swear he is the most talented player they ever saw - by a long shot . I don't think he belongs being compared to Subban
Kovalev was the most purely talented player ever in the game, his teammates would all tell you that, I'm sure Kypreos would say that, dude was insane
It’s what I said. But the problem was that he was playing when he wanted to play. Like one game on four he was just dominating and the other three he was just invisible.
I know its the format of the show, so it wont change. But i really never care for the guests theu bring on and its every episdoe. Its so unnecessary, you have 3 great personalities here and then the life gets sucked out of the room by the boring voices they bring on.
Usually I'd agree with you but Kovalev is an absolute gem
