Thanks for the well wishes! We made it out- it was a 13 hr drive though. We’re safe now and have our fingers crossed for all of the west coast Floridians.
Hey guys, from West Coast FL Tampa Bay Area North. We're staying. We have too many pets, the chickens, the budgie birds and the dog. Our friend we could have stayed with is in North Carolina so they're recovering from Helene. We're battening down our windows with plywood and trusting the Lord to get our little Noah's Ark through this. Glad you guys have a place in Georgia.
Hopefully you guys won’t get any surge from this, praying for you guys and praying for Florida. Driving up today we saw so much destruction in South Georgia from Helene. Must have been a good bit of tornadoes that touched down
@@IslandsnHighlands Thanks. We will be keeping an eye on the radar. We have one of those little Noaa radios too. We just finished getting all the chickens packed up and putting our truck at a friends house since we can only fit our one jeep in the small garage we have. I might post a video of what we have done. I did post one a few days ago of my chickens and my dog Olive running around with them. Thank you for the prayers. Means a lot. We've got you and your family in ours too. Yeah some places got it so bad like North Carolina.
I moved to Melbourne from Colorado last October. This is the first hurricane I've had to prepare for. I started putting my panels up yesterday, but I still have the second story to install. Stay safe.
Good luck guys. Your garden is so beautiful I hope you don’t get too much damage. Most of your plants will regrow anyway, especially the banana trees. I heard it’s going to turn slightly south before landfall and quickly turn to cat 2 lasting about 12 hrs all up.
Sad to see how Florida is being affected by the hurricanes. Stay safe you all. I think you live on the south east Florida? How is the forecast says for your area?
We're just south of the Cape on the east coast- we currently are under a Hurricane watch with a 2'-4' storm surge warning. Not nearly as bad as the Tampa area on the west coast..
@@IslandsnHighlandsvery cool, I’m just a little north with my miniature version of your garden. In Titusville. Had been looking for people near my area to learn from and it’s great to have your channel! I do believe this is my first comment on the channel. It will be interesting to see what happens since my 14’+ Blue Java got beat up in the one two weeks ago, not to mention the fruit! Stay safe guys loved the video!
@@IslandsnHighlands Banana Tree can be saved by this method. We use this technique back in my country. Place a long, thick stick (v shape at the top)firmly into the ground next to the banana tree, securing it tightly to the tree using a rope or stick alone should work. This method can help protect the banana tree during storms to a certain extent.
We are good, we got very lucky. There were so many tornadoes all around us made it scary and dangerous for the people around us. We just have some cleanup and didn’t lose power. Thanks for reaching out! Hope you were out of Milton’s path
Wishing you and your family the best!
Thank you so much! We should be OK. I hope everybody on the West Coast is careful!
Hopefully everything will be okay for you. I am in Naples, not in an evacuation zone thankfully. Ugh, I have hurricane fatigue!
Having a home in central Florida and in the southern Appalachian Mountains I feel you for sure!
Hope you made it out of Florida safely. I pray you don't have a lot of damage from this monster storm.

Take care guys, wishing everyone over there the best of luck 🤞
Thank you so much! Mark, our neighbors on the West Coast of Florida need all the well wishes they can get.
Please be safe ❤ from Houston!
Thanks, we will for sure!
Best to you all and your gorgeous plants!🙏
Thanks! Fingers crossed for our west coast Florida neighbors.
good luck and be safe
Thank you, we will!
Stay safe and safe travels! Hopefully your garden will weather the storm and not get too damaged.
Thank you so much!
you and the kids stay safe! hope there isn't any major damage to the house!
Thanks for the well wishes! I’m more worried about our neighbors on the West Coast then I was here on the East Coast…

We went up 95 until st Augustine and drove backroads the rest of the way…took 13 hours with stops.
Good work getting everything in order, stay safe, we are watching closely too. 🙏

We’ve been through a lot of hurricanes - the best you can do is board up and be safe.
Writing to you from East TN. Take care of youself, all of you .
Thanks for the well wishes! We will be riding out the storm just east of you in our home town.
Stay safe and hopefully your house will stay dry. Milton shifted a bit south and maybe it will be less bad for you.
Thank you! We shall just have to wait and see- hope you stay safe too if you are in Milton’s path.

Thanks- we're as prepared as we can be. I'm worried for our fellow Floridians on the west coast...

@@IslandsnHighlands glad everyone is okay. we were way outta the path, we live in Arizona.
I just think about all those poor plants and trees that are going to suffer because of this storm and end up being destroyed.
