Not only was the Kettenkrad the only German vehicle that was reliable, powerful, and easy to repair, but it was also a logistics vehicle. The Germans in World War 2 rather infamously had terrible logistics that were generally inferior to all of the Western Allies, even the Central Powers of World War 1 had better logistics in some respects. So the fact that the Kettenkrad was a vehicle for towing and hauling that the Germans made themselves during the war and actually worked well is kind of astounding.
Nice video! But: 2:12 That's the production of the NSU Quickly (nice little 50ccm moped) produced from 1953-1967, but yes, it still is the NSU Factory in Neckarsulm :-D
I know. But there is not much footage of NSU or the production of the kettenkrad. So I chose to put some footage of NSU of the 1960s in so that people didn't have to look at PNG's or the same footage on repeat. 😁
Well it was probably so that minimum training was needed. People already know how to steer a motorbike or a bike so that would translate pretty easily. But I'm just guessing here, don't take that as a fact please 🥺
As much as I like the EV buzz aura that resonates, that much I know such vehicle would be terrible if it was even remotely close to Kittengrad. Driving electric drive trough thick mud or deep, heavy snow would cause BMS to cut batteries out to prevent them from exploding - common issue with Musk's truck. Track vehicles operate best when there's a diesel engine to deliver torque and power, so I'm sure that reliable and properly chosen diesel motor would both be proper and more green/carbon footprint efficient (if that's ones concern), giving more range, to a modern version of Kettleblunt.
DON'T LISTEN TO THIS MAN! He is spreading falls information! Girl's last tour is a heart warming slice of life. Nothing bad happened in it! Trust me! I would NEVER lie to you!
Thank you! I mean I'm not a big big UA-cam boy. But I'm always really happy to see that people enjoy the videos and slowly the videos are getting more views. So how I'm seeing it everything is going good.
Yes but most of the good ones got scooped up long ago by individuals and groups that don't really want to sell them on, as far as I'm aware a lot of them that got sold as surplus or were left lying around returned to civilian life and got worked half to death/until they broke and left in barns to rot, shuffled into collections or got cannibalised for parts later. You can probably get a more reasonable price if you've got the contacts and connections but otherwise expect to pay a fairly significant amount. Shipping it and maintaining it is another matter entirely but if you can afford to buy a good one up front you can probably afford to keep it, there have been exceptions though.
ITS MEEEEE
HEY! It's the guy from the intro!
@@zwalada The guy from the intro is so cool
Oh hey it’s you! I remember watching videos from you about that funny finnish tank
Ah yes, that funny looking motorcycle that Private Ryan used!
Funny motorcycle tractor thing.
The sheer disbelief at 3:58 is solid gold.
I mean you have to admit, it's a bit out of caricature for the Germans.
@@zwalada You would think they would at least put an MG-42 mount on it.
Girls Last Tour mentioned 🗣️🔥
Hel yeah. Good anime, truly a feel good story

The plucky Krad that could
But its still weird how the single front wheel can force the tracks to turn

If you have a time machine.
Yes, with a lot of money. One sold recently for $130,000
