So I just stumbled on this and while I WISH I had the experience at fighting games that Max and his friends have, I gotta say I always find it interesting to listen to discussion on game development, updates, and patches. I figure I should take the opportunity to inform those who play DNF Duel that as of December 4, 2022, DNF Duel has announced a “Grand Balance Patch” trailer detailing all the game’s updates and a DLC character reveal trailer for a character known as “Spectre”. Have fun y’all! I’ll be looking forward to the reaction/discussion videos from the content creators.
Yeah, this was a lot of fun to watch. Everyone was making great points and considering a lot of different viewpoints when discussing DNF Duel’s future. Great stuff. 👍

These type of videos are my absolute favorite... I prefer watching Yo Videogames talk about possibilities in fighting games over an MCU film/show any day of the week
F Slayers is such a GET that I think they held off for monetization. FOR SURE we're getting Spectre and hopefully at least one other. I want Dark Templar but all F Slayers are awesome (maybe we'll get all? who knows, if they make us pay for them why not?) DLC bait anyway, it's whatever. I will lose my shit for every character they add, DFO has the best designs...
It's because FSlayer's so popular that she wasn't included in the base roster. Means they'd have an easy character choice for DLC if they ever get around to it.
And regarding Steve's point, DNF Duel wasn't their only side project with the DNF IP. They also announced Project BBQ, which is supposed to be a AAA souls-like game and DNF Overkill, which was supposed to be like a remake of the MMO with updated 3D graphics. So yes, I think Steve has a point that they may not be trying to attract people to the old 2D MMO. What I think they're doing is trying to do is expand the IP to other genres that would never play the MMO, much like what Cygames is trying to do with Granblue.
BBQ has not been cancelled, it's been changed into what OP described it as, a AAA souls-like rpg instead of the initial open world 3d arpg and renamed into Project AK.
Dont think Steve really had any good points tbh here. It kind of equated to "We don't know so its possible so lets see". Nothing to back his argument outside of copium.
Hearing the "only buffs" part reminds me of the Payday 2 philosophy where instead of nerfing things they buff everything else to be on the same level as an overpowered thing
the problem with "just buffs" comes back to power creep. Tekken is an example of this, the damage you have now is a result of a lot of buffs across the board when originally only a few characters could deal out crazy damage. Nerfs are fine as long as it keeps things in line to some extent. Not to say things shouldn't be crazy but players shouldn't be using just 1 or 2 moves to win. (this coming from a steve player where people used to complain he only needed and still technically only does use 2 moves to win).
@@Jack_Horner_is_a_hero depends on what defines broken. As long as it follows the rules of the game it just means the power level of the characters are high not broken. The actual point is that characters in DNF are crazy as is. Buffing them half hazardly might cause another swift master problem. Essentially with Striker playing the way she does. As far as we can tell the buff might be sn adjustment to input buffering to prevent random dps making everyone more consistent.
Not just power creep, but homogenization. When you add new abilities to cover a character's weak points, which is what new moves usually do, you eventually wind up with a bunch of characters that are good at everything and can do all the same things.
So here's the problem that no one seems to mention. The announcement of a balance patch is great but there are two big issues here. One a two month wait for a game that has dwindling numbers. Two they are focusing on the wrong things to bring people back. They were super vague about the second announcement. They said "We are working on something big so please wait a bit longer." First thought is dlc which would be great. But my skepticism says its something like crossplay which would help but numbers wouldn't go up. Bottom line be more clear if you are gonna announce dlc announce dlc. Don't be vague about it. Thats about the only way to revive this game. I love DNF duel and want it to succeed.
Dwindling is generous. I was looking at the game earlier last week and ended up noping the hell out when I saw the steam concurrent players at less than 100, such a shame.
They might be waiting to release the balance patch and the character at the same time, similar to how fighterz handled balance patches and dlc. Otherwise I don't think a balance patch would take that long.
to me the game is heavily on life support. unless you're in the upper tier of fighting game skilled player, casuals and even mid-level players get insanely blown out by the upper level, even harder COMs are insane, because so many characters are so goddamn oppressive, that it feels like they can fuck you in so many different ways. imo DNF Duel is ONLY fun now, for anyone on the better end of the spectrum, and the "git gud" mentality BS goes out the window, because that just makes it feel like its become a game exclusive for the pros
Likely in the process of convincing investors not to pull out before new content can launch, basically writing that off as tax loss never to see light of day. This is basically what happened with Babylon's Fall when it didn't meet projected game/mtx sales goal and singleplayer offline patch was cancelled, proving yet another reason base game should be finished & tested before release.
History has taught us that Korean game companies easily fold and/or cut ties with their products the moment their sales dip even by just a little. It's pretty much a knee-jerk reaction. When their game isn't doing as well as it previously did, they go, "Umm, umm, ummm, FREE-TO-PLAY!!!" and see how that goes. It has happened to ALL of their previously paid/subscription-based MMOs.
best points made: 1. they are working on F2P model. (DLC characters will perform better if the user base is bigger. some regions were priced out of even trying DNF)) 2. DNF Duel's impact on DFO was noticeable enough to invest again (North America/Japan users increase in DFO, fyi i started because of DNF Duel and saw tons of obv new players on my server) 3. Multiversus being F2P and essentially beating Nexon at their own game on release def effected available market. (I assume they wanted to guarantee sales revenue and gauge the market my hot take: Nexxon is rich beyond imagination. I've seen some dev insight on DFO, and they have extremely specific business models/goals/targets. DFO makes money kinda like DOA makes money with "Whales" on cosmetics but ALSO w pseudo pay to win (pay to FLEX, you can win playing free it's just harder). ultimately they want/need USER BASE, ENGAGEMENT, and FOMO/EXCLUSIVITY to make crazy money. the income from an average user in DFO is so much higher than a one time FGC purchase w only a 'maybe' on a season pass. so... a) established base w people who bought DNF Duel, grow base w F2P b) keep user base 'engaged' w seasonal updates (paid dlc characters), cosmetic releases, and features (like cross play) c) continue to use DNF Duel to grow brand and bring more NA and Japan users over to their money maker DFO i think they sold ENOUGH copies of DNF Duel and that's all they need. they can honestly afford to lose money on Duel if it brings money to DFO (which i'm sure it did). they can still afford it either way they got BANK.
I want to get this game, cause the gameplay was really fun from what I tried in the beta. But good God, can the game have worthwhile content. This is a prime example that online should not be the only mode you put all your effort into.
@@blackmanta2527 I'm sure it's already dead. Once the next big fighting game releases, whether it's NRSs next game or SF6, it'll just be a funeral march for it.
Idk about other people, but I specifically remember I struggled with sticking to DNF Duel because the last DBFZ balance patch came out the same week as well, and it won my interest over DNF over the course of those next couple weeks
I’ve been pretty dedicated to DNF and using it as my waiting room till SF6. My big HOPIUM is this game gets a few characters even if it’s not something crazy like 6 DLC. Just to let us know we early adopters still matter lol
I just want them to finish the main base cast (creator and dark knight) and put more songs and stages, after that focus in doing some clone characters (neo awakenings) some normals with different specials or at least neo awakenings skins.
I wished Max played DFO in YoVideoGames with the dudes, cuz its actually fun as a Beat em up and it has a lot of cool shit with FG inspiration, i wanna see max screaming while they do insane combos and explode the enemies with juggles and specials. Also, If a lot of ppl raised their voice to Nexon about the PvP, it would be bigger and better balanced, being a perfect place for the FG fans.
The PvP is fairly dead even in KR dnf, and the pve has basically no "insane combos" or "juggles". It's all about positioning and using your cube skills/CDs precisely during boss DPS phases. I've played it since DFOG release and it would never be a good MMO option for them to pick up, even though it has insane style and art. Rather see the franchise shine in some other game, be that DNF duel or some of the other releases they have coming up.
Dfo has changed a lot since then, these days you kinda just swing a big move and wipe a whole screen if you are powerful enough. The moves are also so powerful that you don’t even get to see any traits from duel that are left in dfo anymore
I just want to play it on console. The one time they tried doing that back on 360 bombed because it had like no content at all and everybody finished it in a day and there was nothing to do. Just put the actual game on console and let players have fun there too.
@@LhLeo True, although, i play nerfing myself and looking to have some fun with combos in pve. grinding and wiping everything with one move never was fun to me.
@@ulfrey1155 uhh, i mean, in PvE i do play trying to not wipe everything, making challenges to myself and stuff like that, if a game is mostly played in a certain and effective way, you don't always need to do that way. But tbh, i think max would like it, sure, maybe they don't like nerfing themselves to do combos in pve, nor the pve content overall after some time, but they can surely do pvp matches with themselves and the subs. Its about having fun with crazy shit in the end. But i would prefer them to at least make PvP better to play, since, they are prob gonna replace DFO with DF Overkill sometime in the future.
If I would guess... They'll put some cosmetic micro transaction things, and maybe a dungeon / rogue like mode with unlockable cosmetic stuff. And maybe, maybe some characters later. But it's a good thing that the director addressed something to the community.
@@HyuseS4 About as bad as a game with dead support and no sign of another entry. So, about the same. At least you have rollback in the Blazblue games that exist already LOL.

Nobody has time for this SFV "Wait for 3 or more seasons to be good" shtick anymore. Time is money and there are also a ton of games about to drop soon. DNF has literally a few months left to make some moneu because once SF6 drops, it's going to be the focus on the FGC for a while.
A lot of over seas Companies don’t understand that video games are like food. If you give an amazing free sample out, you have a very high chance that the customer will buy the product.
This is the game I regret buying the most, it was money thrown in the trash! Dead game all unbalanced, with no one in online mode, game that ended up going bankrupt before launch and even then we bought it thinking it would be a great game to have fun and have a great experience in online mode. It's worse than Granblue Fantasy crap... Good thing Capcom is coming with Street Fighter 6 and SNK with Garou 2, because I don't know what serious fighting games will be in the future.
While I quite like DNF Duel, it does strike me as more of a marketing/advertising tool to bring more people to DFO than a game they intended to continue as a new revenue stream for the company. That said, I’m sure they considered continuing support if the game performed surprisingly well. As far as I know it didn’t though.
IM STILL WAITING FOR DNF TO GET A PRICE DROP GOD DAMN IT !!!!!!! I would have bought it for 35 Euro or so, now i am honestly almost over it already ... Some Japanese games really never go on any good sales, at least in Europe.
@@-8h- I bought Guilty Gear Strive on Kinguins Flash sale after about a month of its release for less than DNF is priced right now. Guess that goes against my statement about Japaneese games, but still ; )
No but they price the game initially... Sorry, what is your argument here ? Your position is that 50 bucks for this game is not something people should care about ? It is a really bare bones game dude
While getting some news is something good, I really wouldn't be that hopeful for anything big due to many factors. 1. These news come right after EVO, the best place to make any kind of good announcement, and the way this was deliver was so vague that I doubt there are any significant content to be delivered. At most, I can imagine a 2 character DLC, besides the patch, and that's the best case scenario. But I think it will be something like cross-play and network updates. 2. I don't understand the hype of potential buffs for everybody, characters in the game are already broken with what they can do, and that's precisely why, even when initial excitement was high, it died freaking fast. Casuals will die faster if further buffs are made to all characters, so I doubt that there will be any significant growth, regardless of what the balance patch delivers. If potential and possibilities amounted to anything, Duels wouldn't be in the state that it is right now. 3. I doubt Nexon will look at the game with good eyes, since they only threw money for production expecting great results due to ArcSys history with games like Gran blue, GG and FighterZ, but not investing any money on advertisement, and now they could be thinking that ArcSys did not delivered good results, even when its clear why, and its most likely their own fault. 4. With the other DF projects still in development, I doubt any decent budget will be provided for any future updates to Duels, because Nexon treats even their good titles like "whatever, here is some money" and that's it. a failed project in their eyes will be worth the investment. I hope time proves me wrong, but let's be honest, news for a convalecent patient are regularly not good, and DNF Duels has been terminally ill for almost 2 months now, so expect little lifetime to this dying title, and try not to ride the hype machine as hard for any upcoming fighting game (better yet, any game in general) to avoid any big disappointment as this one.
Like Max said, everyone has been asking for "only buff" type patches forever, I'm at least excited to see how it works out. The idea of having DNFD being a major/ serious anime fighter is so flawed, it has always seemed like it will be this back-pocket, bullshit but over-the-top and fun FG that you see in side tourneys and bust out with friends over a few beers. It doesn't need to be anything more than that, and the "only buffs" patch would IMO help it to _be_ that.
While I understand part of the excitement behind the focus on only buff patches, I think it goes against the nature of having a well balanced FG that can capture and create a healthy and thriving community. Having balanced and rich mechanics is what keep people returning to titles like Third Strike or past Tekkens and Souls Caliburs thanks to the factor of learning something new even years later. I don't really have anything against broken games, hell, its the complete appeal of Hokuto no ken and some doujin fighting games, but I believe Duels is a cautionary tale of unrealistic expectations in FG design that goes against the nature of what a healthy game needs to be, and I hope that Project L and similar games that seem to have a similar design take note of it, but that one has other can of worms that can go against it in soooo many ways, that I prefer not to think about right now. Anyway, I hope that the title ends something like Skullgirls at least, a game that has a resurgence in the future even with limited but hight quality content, even if its limited.
Yea. I think the most popular character is Female Slayer, she have so many amazing classes. When she wasn't in the game I was like that has to be because DLC is coming, but NOPE. Lol XD
"It is possible geopolitics is involved" might be the best insight in this whole video, because that's a huge deal that I hadn't considered with this game. Like, a Korean company working with a Japanese company would probably have a lot of shaky ground and that would be a lot.
Project BBQ has become Project AK and is now going to be a Soulslike set in the DNF universe. Project Overkill looks to be a sequel or replacement for the currently existing DNF.
On Steam even USF4 has more players than DNF Duel. 175 ppl current and 206 24hr peak for USF4. DNF has 64 ppl current and 82 24 hour peak. Not giving a lot of hope
Regardless of one's opinion on the game, I think we can all agree the communication has been pretty spotty. Spending months hoping for ANY news or roadmap or SOMETHING and when something is said it's very vague. I hope the game gets better support. Kinda reminds me of the situation with Nick All Stars Brawl. They played coy with some updates and were really vague on how stuff would go, and while there were two free post-launch characters (that were meant for base game) and they confirmed three paid DLC characters after that, they also had previous announced voice acting and crossplay and it took until Jenny for voice acting to be added...crossplay is still MIA. With one of the primary developers, Ludosity, back working on Slay City and Rocko's release likely being soon it kinda feels like that game might be done too but we have no idea if anything more is coming.
DNF duel is an interesting case study on how people don’t actually want what they say they want. “I miss when u bought a game and it was a finished product” - game dies because it has no post release content. “We want a loose game that lets u express yourself” - people complain DNF duel is too “kusogae/unbalanced”. “Motion inputs are outdated and make fighting games inaccessible” - lack of motion inputs clearly didn’t bring in enough casual players. Obviously you can’t please everyone and I understand that the people complaining one side are not necessarily the people complaining the other side. But it’s still very interesting how quickly this game died despite doing a lot of what people claim they want from modern fighting games.
Neople deals with the developement of DFO and acts a publisher in the west Nexon KR owns Neople. Ultimately most of the monetization is up to Nexon. Nexon global handles alot of its games poorly, nexon KR handles their games better than the US counterpart. the main revenue of dfo comes from china, 90% of that atleast. And they love their "gacha systems" but DFO acts more like a mmo beat'em up with proper progression etc. The way they monetize their games is with clothing and packages that have some level of p2w elements like adding stats to titles*, pets* auras*, and their outfits(less so). So the fact that the game didnt do well in the west is not suprising, the JP/US versions of the game shouldnt be looked at too much in terms of sales as a company, it should be "China" even though this is a Korean beat'em up mmo. China will be valued higher in every version before kr and global DFO. Just to clarify somethings. DFO's ingame PvP system is hot garbage, but it does REALLY well in china for some reason, so seeing how the fighting game turned out in china will make more sense in terms of how well DNF duel sold elsewhere. Nexon is known to throw money away a lot of the time too. Project BBQ is also cancelled and became Project AK which is a souls-like console exclusive. Project overkill is still in development and isn't cancelled. also they're known to just push out stuff anyway with very limited communication, its just how they work. there's also been a lot of demand for all other characters to be added.
So, if i was listening correctly SIMMONS They said bugs this month. december is full roster balance and they'll have more to say. why do you think the ONLY thing coming in dec is that full roster balance. Simmons def is Dr Doom with that laugh and a proper villain. I hope steve gives you coal in your stocking and he gets a fancy candy cane. :)
I really hope to god that this game isn’t dead! This game has possibly the coolest looking cast ever in an anime style fighter and gameplay is mad fun! I really hope they do they add some sort of DLC where it’s like in Dungeon Fighter where you fight stage after stage against different monsters and even some bosses. They could make a great Red Sun style dungeon out of it
@@marcuskane1040 yeah the cast is somewhat generic, but the overall roster of DFO has massive potential, it's a shame that they went with the most straightforward classes instead of trying something weird with a class like Mechanic or Elven Knight. I still think that characters like Lost Warrior are really cool and unique.
Man, I don't understand how a game is dead just because DLC isn't being pumped out. Isn't this what gamers have asked for since DLC became the new norm? Complete games with everything on disc. I feel like it's only been a few months since the game was released!
This is the pace from Nexon that i wouldve expect. I played a few Nexon Games, mostly Combat Arms (when they where developing it) and the game did not change for months. When they did it was a balance update and added very few things. I like the slow approach, more data and less emotions are taken into consideration when planning updates.
Ya that 😮 from Max. F2P for the ‘big update’ makes the most sense in the way Simmons explained it. I would actually try DNF if it went F2P. KOF took my money and attention when DNF came out.
The marketing has been some of the strangest PR this side of the contemporary FGC prior to DNF’s release. So it’s on the side of familiarity (regarding this game) that the updating and communication from the devs/publishers is so erratic in timing and nature. This shit is weird, bruh.
It really is. It almost seems like they have no idea what you’re supposed to do with a modern fighting game post launch. Typically by now we’d already have a full season of dlc announced and the first character would be playable already with like 4-5 more on the way.
"We're only buffing" So is Crusader still gonna be able to do 3/4 of your HP off a single hit and launching you so high his lightning VFX stops reaching the top of the screen?
my two cents: they might've been waiting for a better time window to get some attention back to the game without it having to compete with other giants, waiting for the dust to settle. MAYBE they're actually expanding the single player aspect of the game, so it becomes a better intro to the actual MMO. But the thing is: SF6, the Riot FG based on LoL and Tekken 8 are "right around the corner"... the time window is getting narrower and narrower for DNF to make a return. To be honest though, the F2P idea does make a whole lot more sense, because it does create an oportunity to monetize and have sustained growth EVEN if it has to compete against other titans in the industry, and I do hope that's the case. Why waste money on the project, leave it to die without even trying to salvage what is actually a good game with high production values? It's Nexon though... and if you know them from the gacha game industry, they're THE WORST, they 're perfectly fine with shutting down games in a matter of months after release if it's not successful enough
What if the big thing they are working on is an ingame DFO? Taking the assets they have built and then throwing it into a console version of DFO to keep people playing different modes (tekken force), and recoup through micros through there
It feels a lot like dfo the mmo. It was kind of made almost as a throwaway attempt but it gained unexpected traction and then they wanted to keep supporting it.
@@SPACECOWBOY705 I feel like that is a loaded question. In short idk. I was on the fence about getting dnf due to the price. The beta was fun and I had a good time but I also just got burned spending $100 on kof. Max being a fighting game influencer gave me that final nudge to just skip it. i cant be the only one. For all I know i could of loved dnf. That's not a negative on max or his fault. In the end I'm the one that made that decision but I was influenced.
@RunningOnEmpty i mean its kinda fair to say if it literally influenced their decision. His job title is literally fighting game INFLUENCER to act like his active vocal opinion has no effect on ppls perception is dishonest
@RunningOnEmpty i don’t see how it’s sad especially since these things cost money. Dnf isn’t on a streaming service, you have to commit $50 to play. People watch reviews and influencers to see if a product is worth getting, that’s the point. And max was absolutely right, lol there’s less than 100 people playing daily. Only thing sad about this is dnf duel lol
The question now kinda becomes "Why?" Did Nexon have some sort of disillusionment about the size of Dungeon Fighter in its respective 'popularity' that they thought they could pull a FighterZ and make a pretty action game that solid gangbusters off those merits alone? Dragon Ball is Dragon Ball. I'm pretty sure fans who'd never played a fighting game in their lives were first in line to buy FighterZ before fighting game players, even. Large IPs do matter and where they matter is incredibly important. Most of the West sees Dungeon Fighter as a niche MMO from the early aughts; how Nexon may have expected that to compare to an anime franchise that's emboldened itself with years of IP efficacy in games, television shows, movies, memorabilia, is beyond me.
I think its kinda sad if a game doesn't have updates, its "dead". I think it put unnessacary pressure on developers to monetise the shit out of games to keep them relevant. People are now conditioned to expect DLC and season passes.
I had never heard of Dnf Duel before this game so mission accomplished. I would never start playing some gacha bullshit but now I know what it is at least. Same with Granblue. They want me to play this RPG (they're even working on a console game right now) but the story mode killed any hype I might have had. Stock story, stock characters, stock dialogue. Honestly have no idea why Granblue is popular in the first place. Music's nice at least.
With Nexon's pump and dump history, I'm surprised no one floated the possible idea that they're going to announce a new fighting game based on another Nexon IP. I may be inhaling huge amounts of copium here, though... But imagine Nexon treating fighting games as that genre of game you can just release, never update and then just move on to making the next one. It's a bit of a 90's arcade mentality, but it may be how they're thinking. Just ask any old Nexon fan how in touch they are with reality and current events.
I'm so pissed that this game bombed, and at this point, there's no chance it'll come back strong. Do you guys remember how hyped we were from all the character trailers? I would've loved to get into it but I'm glad I held off. Granblue has more players than DnF right now.

So yes, I think Steve has a point that they may not be trying to attract people to the old 2D MMO. What I think they're doing is trying to do is expand the IP to other genres that would never play the MMO, much like what Cygames is trying to do with Granblue.
I was looking forward to Project BBQ, but the news of its cancellation disappointed me...
BBQ is gone no longer in the works
BBQ has not been cancelled, it's been changed into what OP described it as, a AAA souls-like rpg instead of the initial open world 3d arpg and renamed into Project AK.
@@YourMumGreen Semantics. They cancelled BBQ and are using the existing assets for AK.

God, the editing in this video is masterful.
2:18 I remember watching/hearing crowd reaction during the stream on this announcement. 👏😂👏
They really said our tweaks will only be buffs for all 😂👍
Hearing the "only buffs" part reminds me of the Payday 2 philosophy where instead of nerfing things they buff everything else to be on the same level as an overpowered thing
the problem with "just buffs" comes back to power creep.
Everyone being broken is not balanced
@@DudesPlayingVidGames which is one of the reasons why DNF fell off. Everyone is overpowered and it feels too chaotic for it to be considered balance
"Why not just come out and say that it's characters." man i can't wait for the story extension of dnf duel
"We're adding dlc... colours for every character in the game!"
At least DNF's future has hope, maybe a fools hope, but hope nonetheless 🙏 😭 🙏

Mmo is different
MMOs with cash shops and monetization, sure. There's something to gain there for them.
I remember when Maplestory 2 got shut down after 8 months
best points made:
1. they are working on F2P model. (DLC characters will perform better if the user base is bigger. some regions were priced out of even trying DNF))
2. DNF Duel's impact on DFO was noticeable enough to invest again (North America/Japan users increase in DFO, fyi i started because of DNF Duel and saw tons of obv new players on my server)
3. Multiversus being F2P and essentially beating Nexon at their own game on release def effected available market. (I assume they wanted to guarantee sales revenue and gauge the market
my hot take: Nexxon is rich beyond imagination. I've seen some dev insight on DFO, and they have extremely specific business models/goals/targets. DFO makes money kinda like DOA makes money with "Whales" on cosmetics but ALSO w pseudo pay to win (pay to FLEX, you can win playing free it's just harder). ultimately they want/need USER BASE, ENGAGEMENT, and FOMO/EXCLUSIVITY to make crazy money. the income from an average user in DFO is so much higher than a one time FGC purchase w only a 'maybe' on a season pass. so...
a) established base w people who bought DNF Duel, grow base w F2P
b) keep user base 'engaged' w seasonal updates (paid dlc characters), cosmetic releases, and features (like cross play)
c) continue to use DNF Duel to grow brand and bring more NA and Japan users over to their money maker DFO
i think they sold ENOUGH copies of DNF Duel and that's all they need. they can honestly afford to lose money on Duel if it brings money to DFO (which i'm sure it did). they can still afford it either way they got BANK.
I truly hope this game continues to grow its art is beautiful
Music is truly something as well.
I want to get this game, cause the gameplay was really fun from what I tried in the beta.
But good God, can the game have worthwhile content. This is a prime example that online should not be the only mode you put all your effort into.
Dnf duel will probably die when sf6 releases

I was excited for the game and I never ended up playing it
I wished Max played DFO in YoVideoGames with the dudes, cuz its actually fun as a Beat em up and it has a lot of cool shit with FG inspiration, i wanna see max screaming while they do insane combos and explode the enemies with juggles and specials.

A lot of over seas Companies don’t understand that video games are like food. If you give an amazing free sample out, you have a very high chance that the customer will buy the product.
This is the game I regret buying the most, it was money thrown in the trash!
This game has such potential, it'll be a big shame to not add any new characters.
Bought the game on launch, and I regret it. Dropped it after a couple of days. They would have to make some massive system changes to get me back.
It's too late. 3 months is way too long to wait for a mystery update. Until then people will continue to drop off.
I don't know if I'm going to watch this whole video but I'm liking and commenting for the intro alone anyway.
18:34 They're basically doing the LOL thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they have or are gonna make a DFO anime too
I could see, Dnf Duel in PSN Plus Extra or released on Xbox and put in Gamepass.
Just like four more characters, and I'd be happy.
Hey For Honor just got a huge patch that pretty much buffed the entire cast of characters. fun game
I just love this intro style
Hell even the “buff not nerfs” is a common outcry for the internet so we’ll see how that goes.
I'm just glad DNF Duel is not dead like DOA6 is.
interesting I wouldn't have thought it could be a send off patch but it would honestly make sence with the way the game has been going
I love how the editor parry's swears.
I guessing one of the things they are going add is a beat em up single/coop mode like GBFV
Neople deals with the developement of DFO and acts a publisher in the west
Nexon KR owns Neople.

Just bought this today and pulled out the fight sticks. Going to have a beat em up and fight game night with my son.

Yay! I’ve been having a blast playing Launcher online. Not good but having fun
my two cents: they might've been waiting for a better time window to get some attention back to the game without it having to compete with other giants, waiting for the dust to settle.
Love how the thumbnail is like what! Noooooooooo..........
What if the big thing they are working on is an ingame DFO? Taking the assets they have built and then throwing it into a console version of DFO to keep people playing different modes (tekken force), and recoup through micros through there

Swiftmaster: NOW THIS BUFF SHIT BLAZING
Give Grappler full body armor for only MP moves.
So nobody is gonna play the game until December? No DLC? This game is not coming back from the grave
28:28 part, Nexon KR =/= Nexon Global when it comes to treatment of their games and consumers. or I dunno, at least that's what I think.
I think its kinda sad if a game doesn't have updates, its "dead". I think it put unnessacary pressure on developers to monetise the shit out of games to keep them relevant. People are now conditioned to expect DLC and season passes.
The reason why it's dead - less than 100 active players on steam only 3 months after release.
0:10 Basically me when i hear the news about DnF Duel updating their game again. xD
