Логично, что злой прислушивается к гг, он ее в одном из вариантов можно сказать называет супругой (consort), в игре перевели как спутница, что у многих и вызвало ощущения, что Тав стал на уровне обычного отродья. Не понимаю, кто намеренно оставляет Асту отродьем в романе с ним, якобы чтоб он оставался добрым, это же почти рушится роман с ним. Если подумать... Герой стареет, а вампир продолжает жить ночной жизнью, ещё и жаждой мучается. Да и само по себе понятие добрый Астарион вызывает улыбку. Он же мировоззрение не меняет, если его оставить отродьем.

Кто оставляет Астариона отродьем, тот хочет равных отношений, да и в принципе он более приземлённым кажется. С вознесенным Астарионом как не крути этого нет. Собственник-гад, кто изначально намерен держать тебя на поводке, опекает тебя предоставляет тебе защиту и, тем не менее, обращается к тебе с надменным снисхождением. "Мягкие сердца" этого не переживут :D Тем более, там в последнем диалоге, в одной из опций есть от девов намёк на излечение его "недуга". То есть теоретически у невознесенного есть все шансы на излечение. Так что не вижу ничего зазорного, чтобы выбрать рут с невознесенным Астом. Каждому свое.

Нравятся ваши видики с Астарионом тем, что вы принимаете оба выбора) А то часто наблюдаю, что все выставляют злой рут как что-то хуже, ниже. Мне кажется, оба рута показывают интересные варианты развития персонажа. Сама я возвысила Астариона и немного подустала читать какой он ая я яй токсик в злом руте. Астарион никогда не был ангелочком, странно что люди делают вид будто он такой весь святой даже в варианте с отродьем.

Oh my word. Neil Newbon, voice actor for Astarion, deserves an award! His perfomance was AMAZING. He retained the essence of the character while brilliantly conveying the subtle changes in him. He's incredibly talented.

I'm definitely of the opinion that Ascended Astarion still very much loves the PC, but the power he'd gained (or, at least, the power he THINKS he's gained, cause lbr he's not really any different lmao) made him believe he was suddenly the top authority in everything and that he was gonna be the big dog from then on. Turning the PC only solidifies that belief, and though it was something he did initially because he loves and wants to protect them, it also changes his perspective into thinking he HAS to make all the decisions for them, going forward. He HAS to be the "vampire lord", but the only source he has for how a vampire lord behaves is Cazador, and as much as he hates his own sire, trying to always do the exact opposite of him, Astarion still looks to those memories for guidance. Turning the PC also twists his love into a much more violent form of possession, especially considering he knows, at that point, that the PC literally cannot deny him anything from then on. Not if he commands them. And while he definitely doesn't want to have to resort to that, he absolutely will -- because his love is also his obsession, and he can't fathom letting go or losing them. He refuses to. And, I think, as long as vamp!PC is loyal and supportive of him, absolutely nothing will change about their relationship; he neither wants nor needs anything to change beyond what their new roles require. He'll keep being loving and doting on them forever, at that point. But if they try to upset the new dynamic between them, oh, boy... Vamp Dad Astarion can and WILL flex his bad boy muscles, because damn it, he doesn't care what he has to do to keep the PC with him. He doesn't even care if they loathe him for it. As long as they're there, that's all he needs.
I completely agree and disagree with your comment..LOL Him being Ascended does change everything, for one, he is now warm, has a beating heart and is basically a human(elf), immortal vampire. His powers will continue to grow beyond what cazador ever had, because of the ritual. (We obviously only see a bite and a few perks in game, but lore wise, he will continue to grow in power and gain all those abilities caz had and many more). Lore wise, people go on about "evil Vampires" but an Ascended Vampire is something new entirely, a romanced ascended vampire may/might or might not, mellow over the centuries, being with Tav. Astarion will not turn on a romanced Tav if they are 100% supportive of him and truly want nothing more than to be with him "forever". I do agree about your view on how Astarion views cazador and that if Tav ever did try to spurn or turn on Astarion in any way he absolutely would use all his powers and more to keep them with him, no matter the cost. He may not see Tav as an "equal" any more, but he still sees them as his Queen/King., "his right hand". There are only two things a romanced Astarion wants: The Power to protect Tav and himself, and Tav. He has always wanted what caz had, "power over people" - no matter how you romance him, it's in a lot of his dialogue, and like he said "the problem with what cazador has done, is that he did it to ME!". Ascended Astarion still very much loves Tav, just not the same way as spawn Astarion. Yes it is definitely more obsession than any kind of romantic love, but he will do anything to make Tav happy.. Even give up on Ruling Baldur's Gate (maybe for century or two anyways) and Travel if that's what Tav wishes.
I like to believe that Astarion always loved power because he was a Magistrate before he was a vampire. Som the ability/power to control people’s fate was already there.
I love both of his forms so much... One is amazing sassy companion on my journey, other one is heaven for dark fantasies... Both have something for themselves...

Certainly not everybody's cup of tea, whilst some people love it. For me it's rather a choice between Astarion being just himself and striving for normality & settlement or ascended Astarion having evil ruler allures.

One of Astarion’s writers stated it's basically reducing your relationship back to being a kink/form of gratification and notes how Astarion will always see you as degrading yourself if you continue to be with him. She stated it was a fine thing to do and not for everyone! But that it very much admits the person failed to think of him beyond a sexual object. That someone was so attracted to him that they were willing to turn themselves into a sex object too but unable to see him beyond the fantasies. Tav can’t even break up with AA. He basically refuses them because, to him, they no longer get that choice. They are his possession. To me, that no longer sounds like a healthy sub/dom relationship because there are safe words and the sub is allowed to veto anything they want. The lack of freedom is what makes AA feel toxic.

I got the wonderful scene with non-ascended Astarion at the end on a dock. Jaheira yelled at him to go and hide quickly till sun gets down. I was surprised from the genius concern in her voice. The difference is i played Astarion. The only one thing I could consider to ascend him is to force Karlach to go back to Avernus with Wyll. It's sad that Wyll doesn't propose to go with her without Astarion/Tav present at her scene.
Thank you for showing different dialogues 🙌🏻 I have a question: Do Tav's endings change when she agrees with Astarion to become a vampire spawn? Like, does she burn under the sun? My heart hurts when he ran away from the sun in my game 😢 So I wonder 'evil' ending outcomes
I see, he became Cazador vol.2 😢 I wish there were more scenes where we could see the outcomes of the paths we chose, because he's more dangerous than he looks in Ascendant version scenes. Perhaps it will be added in the future.
@@oszaszi I think you can ask about the sun and he does say he granted you one drop of his blood and the Mephistopheles blessing, so I think that protects spawn Tav from the sun.
@@oszaszino, if you ask him what happened after he turns you, he says he gave you a droga of his blood and that he believes some of his ascended blessings will extend to you too, if you ask if that means you wont have to fear the Sun he answers that you don't have to fear anything.
It's really interesting to see Astarion's reactions to Tav offering to turn. Spawn Astarion is sad, but stands by Tav's decision. I don't think Ascended Astarion would know how to let go.

Если вам нравятся равные отношения - подойдёт невознесённый, если злодей-доминант - невознесённый, только "любить" он Тав будет по-своему, не всем такое нравится

@@dragoness2243 there are so many armor that look like this one, there's the one from the bank that gives you shield, or the one from the vendor in sarevok's room if you become an unholy assassin or some blue armor at the shop, which i doubt it is. My guess is the sarevok one (yes i forgot the exact name, catacombs something) cause it gives you aura of murder
Nope. He basically says he's disgusted by you and any relationship you had is gone. That he's fine working with you still but only with you far, faaaar away from him. Non-ascended Astarion's ending is willing to try to make it work but it isn't hopeful that you two can stay together. Basically mourning what your relationship could have been.

Это баг, который исправили в новом патче. Вчера закончила второе прохождение и он не говорит этого.

@@oszaszino, if you ask him what happened after he turns you, he says he gave you a droga of his blood and that he believes some of his ascended blessings will extend to you too, if you ask if that means you wont have to fear the Sun he answers that you don't have to fear anything.
It's really interesting to see Astarion's reactions to Tav offering to turn. Spawn Astarion is sad, but stands by Tav's decision. I don't think Ascended Astarion would know how to let go.

Если вам нравятся равные отношения - подойдёт невознесённый, если злодей-доминант - невознесённый, только "любить" он Тав будет по-своему, не всем такое нравится
Ну и смотря по отыгрышу какой спутник вам больше подойдёт

Ритуал всё решает. Вы либо даёте ему вознестись, либо - нет. Вознесенный - "злой", не вознесенный - "добрый"
Id choose ascended Astarion every time just so he wouldnt have to scurry away in a panic like Good Astarion did in the sun when the tadpole finally gone. That shit was sad. AND NO ONE CHASED AFTER HIM !? what the heck. That hurt my heart.

@@dragoness2243 there are so many armor that look like this one, there's the one from the bank that gives you shield, or the one from the vendor in sarevok's room if you become an unholy assassin or some blue armor at the shop, which i doubt it is. My guess is the sarevok one (yes i forgot the exact name, catacombs something) cause it gives you aura of murder

Nope. He basically says he's disgusted by you and any relationship you had is gone. That he's fine working with you still but only with you far, faaaar away from him.
Non-ascended Astarion's ending is willing to try to make it work but it isn't hopeful that you two can stay together. Basically mourning what your relationship could have been.
