    The only video I watched on this channel yet, I'm very pleased with how straight to the point it is. No annoying "Hey guys, it's [insert channel name] here, today we're gonna..." and so on, no annoying commentary, just a simple demonstration of a simple process, because really sometimes you just need a suggestion that makes you think "huh, why didn't I think of that", see how simple it is and go try it.

    If you want to avoid using sugar or any sweetener then boil the pineapple peals very well for it to be tender then strain the water, let it cool down and use it to blend the pineapples without adding any other water to it. In this case the water you will use to boil the pineapple peals should be enough to make the drink.

    Have you ever tried Tepache? It's a Mexican beverage that's basically Ginger Beer but with pineapple instead. It's a great way to get some use out of the peels and core of the pineapple. Just put the peels and scrap bits in a big jar with like a cup of sugar fill it with water and let it ferment for a couple of days. It's fire.

      @@badbwoykitchen5239NP. Dunno if you ever done a fermented drink before, but if not, just be advised not to completely seal the jar! The natural yeasts on the pineapple skin cause carbonation which of course causes released carbon dioxide gas, if your container is fully sealed there's a very real risk of exploding the jar. If you use the container that you used in this vid, I would say close the lid but don't latch it shut so if the pressure gets too high the jar can "burp" and release the excess gas buildup.

    • @Ottawajames
      @Ottawajames 8 місяців тому

      @@badbwoykitchen5239 Also just an FYI, if you're someone who doesn't or can't consume alcohol, fermented drinks aren't for you. The natural yeasts eat the sugars and fart out carbon dioxide and piss out alcohol. Although the end result probably be around 1% ABV so, technically alcoholic but only barely.

    The answer to “why buy store bought?” is convenience. There’s a reason they were originally called convenience stores.
    Making homemade juice is great when you have the time (and energy), but when you’ve been working 60 hours this week and what little time at home you do have involves helping to look after your 2 kids you probably don’t want to spend your one hour of free time making something you could just pick up for practically the same price.

    • @BigPoppa931

    The "Why?" is an easy one for me... It's actually cheaper to buy the juice.
    Costs to me would have to include the time spent processing the food into fluid, which includes the cost of the machine(s) and electricity. Let's not forget the extra water used for that preparation and of course washing (cleaning) the equipment afterwards.
    Sure, there's costs involved getting the product onto the supermarket shelves, but these aren't "costs to me" aka the end user / consumer, or have already been factored into the product price already. 🤷‍♂️
