- I attended my first Liturgy Today; Here’s how it went! I made this an audio recording and not a visual but I’m not doing away with the format I experimenting with, I just thought this deserved more of a quiet talk as if I’m in the same room with the listener. God Bless & Christ is Risen☦️

@@shaun.thebaptist Awesome! I have been a catechumen for a couple months and, God willing, will be baptized this Saturday. If you want to learn about an amazing Orthodox saint and read his teachings I would recommend the book "Wounded by Love" about Saint Porphyrios of Kavfsokalyvia

17:00 The Incense is amazing! There is so much symbolism to it on many layers too. Usually, it smells like Frankincense, and they include myhr in the golden censer.
There are plenty of videos on it which go into detail about this. Also, buy a book on The Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom. It will help you know the order of the liturgy and what is happening.

Ahh I see, so does every Orthodox Church have the same set of icons at the entrance? 🤔 And that’s a beautiful title for an icon🙏🏽
