western or other region in the world might surprised why people in korea dont like hwasa body because how thicc she is.. But thats how reality korean "beauty standard" worked in korea which is "typical idol" must have thin, white tone and cute body. Like how you see in other girl group. Which is why im a little grateful to RBW company (mamamoo agency) where they keep protect and keep these "woman". In other agency especially big kpop agency, there is no place for you to be "an idol" if you have body and face like hwasa. Back then it was harsh and cruel, but i hope they change in the future. QUALITY > POPULARITY
I met hwasa (actualy all mamamoo) at fanmeeting in my country..and they all so tiny..really really cute and pretty..and when someone tell that hwasa ugly, fat bla bla bla, like dang it..like how? 😂
Wheein favorite artist is Kehlani. One of her wishes in life is to do a colleb with her. She does covers of her sings as well. My fav is her cover of Honey

I personally stan both mamamoo & little mix because how talented & humble both groups are & how they’re all involved in the music they come out with & I believe they’re both fans or know of eachother I remember jade mentioning mamamoo in an interview or was asked about them & she said she knew them & really liked their music & solar mentioned them in one of her UA-cam live broadcasts I think recommending their songs to moo moos & moonbyul has danced to their song power before on a competition tv show called queendom w/ other idols

Wheein is my bias in mamamoo, I don't know what she did but she picked me! I truly think she's incredibly underrated, she's one of the best all-rounders in KPOP, there's nothing she CANT do!

I don't know how long you had been into KPop at the point of this video...
But ther Korean Beauty Standards, are very ingrained in SK and KPop. To the point that many Idols under go Plastic Surgery, which is WAY too normalized in SK. I'm not against people getting PS, but it's still SURGERY, and shouldn't be taken lightly. There shouldn't be any shaming done, but on the other hand it shouldn't be like putting on make up.
KBS is insane and unhealthy, by any measure.
