The Force compact Hack squat/leg press/sled (smaller version 3) is the best because I have one. Very versatile and gets the job done. Built like a tank and saves space. Has added features the others don't have. Very glad I have it.

I orderd the compact 3 in 1 last week, i am excited how it feels, i owned the old one already and the new ATX Version. At the moment i use the Body Solid GLPH1100, but 45 degree Hacksquat on it is a real pain for my knees ☹️

Hey friend. I recently had an L4/L5 discectomy on my lower back. So I’m going to be staying away from barbell squats for a bit. I feel like the smaller leg sled/hack squat would be ideal only because you can somewhat “recline” that back pad to a position that won’t pull the low back out of place with some tighter hamstrings. I don’t think you would be able to do that with the bigger traditional leg press version. Does that make sense? I like the smaller footprint as well. But I’m hearing you talk about low back pain in this video and I wanted to get your opinion. Already watched the longer video you put out when you were at the headquarters! Great stuff.

Thanks for watching the videos and your comment.
Sorry you’re experiencing lower back pain. It’s definitely not fun.
The compact leg press can provide adjustments on the angle of the lower back. However, it’s still something to be careful about since there is some pressure on any leg press and you need to make sure the space between the lower/upper seats is ideal.
The leg press exercise is definitely a more stable way to have support with a back injury. Being as safe as possible on the lower back is still something to be aware of, no matter what.

@@StevieRichardsFitness sure thing. I’ve already got your link set up in my browser! So thanks for that. Do you have any experience with a belt squat? Do you think that would be better?
