Great idea stacking the foils all together on the board , instead of grabbing one foil at a time like I do.

this is probably the best video i have seen so far thank you a lot!
    7:34 - 10 vol at the back(3%), 20 vol at the front(6%).
    8:05 - folding the foils
8:30 - starting the crown section
10:25 - what to do with the hair tat's left (at the back area).
    15:17 - Front area
27:43 - hair that's left out at the front (using 1.5% peroxide)
31:40 can also be used for balayage.
37:10 - Toning (leave toner for 5 minutes)

Excellent tutorial!! I am a retired hair colorist, corrective colorist and I spend a couple hours a day watching these type of videos on UA-cam! I so enjoyed your video! My first job as a hairstylist out of cosmetology school, my co-worker introduced me to “the board”!!! This exact method was what I learned and applied for 4 years of my early career! Then I went to work at a two story Luxury Salon and Spa and swiftly my board was banished from my drawer!!!!! I had to learn how to foil just like you are without my board! It was really difficult and as I have ALOT OF DETERMINATION!! I Mastered the “board less perfect weaved highlight! You are very good at what you do! Thank you for bringing back almost forgotten memories!!

You start with 10 in the back and then do 20 in the front so you can rinse it all out at the same time. That way it processes evenly.

I do the same thing except in the crown where u did the triangle, I mirror the triangle up into the top and make a diamond. Then I keep foiling on a diagonal in the diamond (I’ve foiled diagonal right and left and it doesn’t really make a diff). I just hate taking the time foiling horizontally those first few skinny sections at the bottom of the triangle.

Approximately how long does it take you to foil the whole head? Also if they are a level 5 or 6, do you still use vol.10 for the back & 20 for the top & sides or do you change it? LOVE your channel ❤

    • @blushgirl.

thanks so much i usually take 45-60 mins depending how tight and how much hair. yes I may change it to 20 vol all over if its a dark base but i never higher then 20 vol unless im working with level 2-3 i just make sure my weave depth is very shallow does that make sense.

You aren’t showing the time it takes to put the foil on to the board. Either Someone is placing on there for you and handing it to you. Or you don’t show yourself putting each single foil onto the board which takes even more time. I don’t have anyone handing me this or would be nice and go much faster. I don’t use boards unless I’m doing balayage. I don’t have time for this.
I do like the sectioning technique but this girls hair looks like it’s over processed before you even began on the already blonde hair. Looks to be in fragile and frail condition. I would not add more bleach on already bleached out hair or you will end up with breakage.
Pretty outcome but if she adds a flat iron regularly she will get broken ends.
    Thanks for sharing :)

I did your pattern today was nice and easy, my problem was that I got some splashiness in some strands for folding the foil, so I had to re saturate those spots, she had old highlights so I left out the mids and ends, I think I overlapped the strand, and that caused that.
