I Just wanted to say hello from the UK and thank you for saving me from a puzzle I was wasting a lot of time on. The whole handle carrier fell off and flew apart when I removed the door skin and thanks to your video I sorted it and got it back together. I much appreciate your taking the time to explain it in detail. Pete,
Finally ! I can actually see how the Jetta's door handle functions 100% ! and I had no idea the front panel of the door was removable. That part is extremely helpful to me because one of the T30 torx screws is stripped that attaches the inside door panel due to too much locktite. Awesome video. I truly appreciate your time & effort thank you neuromangler !
Great video. I cannot insert my handle back so I am going to replace the mechanisn inside that is broken and i did not know how to take it off. Now i can see how it works. 🎉🎉🎉 this video was a massive help

man thank you for the video, i just changed my lock mechanism in the door and i could not figure out how that part worked
Thanks for your effort, saved me a lot of time
Thank you so much, that’s helped me a lot, god bless you
Thanks for the explainer.
The sprung aluminium handle carrier is a weakpoint, just ordered the aluminium part on its own so I guess VW know this is a part that will break.
Is this the same with the rear doors?
Is it called a “carrier”? Part number by chance?
Carrier sounds familiar, vw may call it that
I need this explanation please in a 2016 Toyota Corolla, please 🙏🏼
Can you tell what manual u are using in the video?
Bentley manual....I think. Sold the car, but I still have the service manual
What exactly is that handle bracket/ latch assembly called?
I’m about to order the actuator assembly but looked in there and it seems this part you’re showing broke in half. Ever hear of that happening?
