Home prices falling but mortgage rates rising: was the wait worth it?

Canadian interest rates skyrocketed, and housing prices experienced a drastic drop. However, the average mortgage payment doesn’t seem to lower. 7 months since the first interest rate spike in March 2022, are people paying better prices right now? Is it true the longer we wait, the better the price? How much did people save by waiting?
In this video, we calculated and compared the estimated monthly mortgage payment if we were to purchase a condo in downtown Toronto across various points of 2022. Let’s find out if it is truly better to continue waiting.
