It was my greatest pleasure to watch your video. Thank you! I completely agree with your thinking, Back in 1984 I had the first (blue) K100 RS, then I bought one limited series K 100 RS STAYLE. It bothered me about both of them having such an ugly exhaust, narrow tires and too narrow handlebars and a hard rear wheel swing (monolevel). Finally the latest update of the K100 RS 4V (1989). As if I modify it..very nice round and shorter exhaust, wider tires, telelever, ABS, two floating discs in front (significantly better braking torque), nicer rims, wider handlebars, final speed over 132 km / h..significant improvement of engine response in low and medium revs. For me, this is still the most ideal bike, for every day and longer trips. I wouldn't and I won't sell it even when I can no longer ride it (the weight of a motorcycle and my age)..i will enjoy watching the bike parked in my living room and remember all the wonderful moments and places i experienced with the K100.- best regards to all of you who love this bike !! :)
Thanks for watching! I am pleased you enjoyed it! I agree, the K100RS is a special bike! Thank for your sharing your comments and stay safe this Christmas!
I had the last reincarnation of this the k 1200 rs heavy in weight. Great on the highway. Not so on sharpcorners and roundabouts. Absolutely a sturdy beast, and unlimited pulling power. Only smal things as Drinking oil, and the old oil seal problem on the gear box and drive schaft. Brake line arts clogging up the brake callipers. But al fixable.
I had a K1200 several years ago, very quick bike for its size but plagued with problems from the ABS to the suspension and ball joints, it was a very heavy bike 303kg. BMW dealer told me to avoid bikes made between 2002-2010 as the money men were in charge then and the quality was terrible.
Except R 1150GSAs...which by my humble opinion is the greatest bike ever made. I've heard that after the K100s all the Ks are heavy and not so enjoyable
@@sorrowstaylor2910 I had the K1200 it was very fast, handled really well but was terrible to move around the garage and once warm it ran so lean it was very snatchy in traffic so bad that sometimes at junctions it would nearly have you off. I’d say the reliability was poor as noted before but there are still many out there running around.
Awww you made tear up now. I have the k75 that I turned into a tracker/cafe and loved it for all the reasons you mentioned and a few more. Used it for commutting to work in the early hours of the morning for my 4am shift for years. As I type this I'm in the hospital recovering from a serious injury due to a car T boneing me on my way to work and now I will not be riding again😭. More over it is for sure she is goin to be a right off. You just made me realize all the things I am goin to miss soooooooo much about my bike.😭😭😭😭
Just bought one. Was looking at early gold wings bc they have gotten so cheap but couldn't believe how affordable the 1991 K100RS was. They were expensive when new. I remember seeing them at the dealer when they came out. Of course the rear suspension blew my mind... and that brick! Oh my! I always thought they'd be great cop bikes. I guess the UK did do that. Mine is red, very close to the color of the GS1100e I had in the 80's
Can you tell me just one thing...how do you manage to put something on the bike, while it's on side stand... whenever I put something it just gets attracted to the ground..
I have a K1 and a K1100RS, and love them, would not ride anything else. I think you like that bike so much you should hold onto it, and forget the GS.🤔🤣
Luv ur vid ! I had a 1986 RMS for ten yers Bra d up with a corbin + BUB 4-1 heaeder _ Fuel cooler add on Full susension up grades Proggesive Sus + Fork brace IT WAS NOT a sport bike!! like my gix
I've abandoned your video 9mins in due to the intrusive adverts, I understand that you have limited control once you monetise but has spoiled your video.

I think you have made a good decision by supporting just one good bike for all your needs. Regards to the boys.
