it was because of all those reviewers who kept looking down at manufacturers with plastic back phones. now most of them have reverted back after seeing how bad glass back phones are .
People think glass is better and "premium" because they've been told its better in the media, when plastic definitely makes more sense and is more durable. Same way they made diamonds "valuable".
Bought the Pixel 6 and love it. I was always Team Samsung till this year. $200 less (priced just right), first to get updates and also I prefer the stock Android experience. I would love to see a phone comparison redo once the Pixel 6 gets the BIG Dec update.

why have manufacturers forgotten about reasonable sizes and WEIGHT. The s21 is the maximum size and weight a phone should have anything beyond that should be considered XXL phone and be its own category. I prefer the s21 for those reasons. The pixel 6 and 7 are bulky peaces of garbage.

The bezels are very small. If $200 more for S21 is worth it for such a trivial difference on bezels, go for it. I'm using the Pixel 6 as a secondary device. I want to try out the Pixel line for the first time. I want in on the first year of the "smartest" phones ! I think the Pixels will be in position, in a few years after some trial and error, improvements in their Tensor chip & improvements in hardware, to finally be the Android phone that will truly give Apple a run for the title. I think the Pixel Pro's will be the iPhone Pro Max's of the Android market 🥰. It's all possible because of Google's new Tensor chip. Now Google has everything in house just like Apple. It is going to be interesting in the smartphone world now, especially in the U.S. market. I also love my primary phone, the Samsung S21 Ultra, as Samsung definitely puts out amazing Ultra flagships! If going for an S21 this year, if you can afford it, you should definitely go big and go for the Ultra! It's worth it.
@@stacyanderson1593 Galaxy Ultra phones is too big and bulky, if you have big hands and long fingers than it's perfect for you but my hands are normal size maybe closer to the small size so I prefer the regular S21, easy to put in my pocket and no hand fatigue when binge watching videos or movies on my phone.
One big advantage of the S21 for me is that it has more capabilities with Windows PCs - its "Link to Windows" seems to offer much more than what you can get with other Android phones through Microsoft Your Phone.

remember though that most apps are optimised for snapdragon and exynos. Where as tensor is new, expect better gains over time. Although app opening times are so similar I think comparisons these days are kind of redundant

However, it has adjustments to ISPs, and Core layouts, and graphics. Tensor also has a model number in the Exynos family, right alongside the Exynos 2100. It isn’t a fully custom design like Apple’s A or M series

I bought a pixel 6 but I decided to return it and get the s21 instead... I didn't like the glass in the back, it makes the phone very slippery. Also it's a little bit too heavy and big for me. Fingerprint sensor is not very accurate, and the sound and power buttons were a little bit too hard to press.... The performance of the pixel 6 is incredible but I personally didn't like it because of the things I mentioned.
Now the Samsung S21 Ultra is another story, it is AWESOME ! I love mine! But it's not a fair comparison to the Pixel 6, maybe comparison to Pixel 6 Pro... But you PAY for it! Samsung and Apple have gotten ridiculous with their pricing on premium flagship devices!
Pixel 6 is way to big for me, it may look small but the S21 is a much nicer size. I bought one for about a month but I missed my S7 & ended up selling the S21 & switching back to my S7. Just bought a replacement battery so I can continue using the S7 for a few more years. Got to flash a new ROM so I can get android 12 though.
My one gripe, out of many, regarding my P6 is how dim the screen is, even at max brightness. And no, I don't have adaptive brightness on. You can even see it in this video. Meh

When you compare these two phones, all features to features, they are very close. When you factor in the value for your money, getting almost same features, the Pixel 6 is a Steal for your money. Their is a $200+ difference in their prices! The Pixel 6 wins that comparison hands down for $599!
Instead of just tapping on apps compare the speakers, the battery life, charging times and camera samples. Nobody cares which phone loads apps faster. The galaxy here crushes the pixel in every way. Cameras are better, screen and battery.
i regret buying pixel 6... The performance was top notch for a month, but now it's lagging and buggy here and there. Especially motion lag is surprisingly noticeable compared to Samsung who was known for not natural motions.

I am Very interested in the new Pixel....... My only beef is that if any single phone on the market is gonna watch you poop, it's gonna be googles phone. I think the Galaxy S21 is a far better phone. Also android 12 is coming in the next couple of months for Samsung phones. Then again clearly the S21 cost more from new (although can be picked up for similier price now). That said the Pixel 6 is a cracking phone at its price point. I'm not sure it's a fair match up going up against an S21. I would say the Samsung is a next level up.
I would say there pretty even. The thing with google is the software is remarkably good. Things you cannot really see until you try them. For example the magic eraser for photos is incredible and the speech to text is crazy accurate. To the point I dont even type on my phone anymore. Never thought that would happen. Pixel 6 changed the way I use my smartphone

Currently have an S10. With my current promotion, I can get a Pixel 6 5G for $200, or an S21 for $400. I enjoy mobile gaming, and with both having 8G ram, it seems like the Pixel wins out because of price, and LESS BLOATWARE! lol I never use any of Samsungs add on stuff that comes with it anyway, it just takes up memory. The only reason I'm asking ultimately is the connectivity bugs currently going on with the pixel 6. I'm nervous that the phone simply won't be able to make a simple phone call. I have an s10 I use for work and it's still a great phone. I don't see the Pixel 6 as an upgrade really worth the money as even the display om the s10 is higher res and has better color. Pixel 6 pro might be worth the upgrade but for me I think I'll still with s10 until Pixel 7

Never had samsungs. They look cheap to me and I don’t wanna pay for extra RAM and storage as they uploaded they own samsung app which you can’t delete. In other words: you got 12 Gb Ram but official samsung apps using 4gb. So why people have to pay for 12 but using only 8?
I absolutely HATE the S21 ultra. I've had it for probably 6 months now and it's by far my least favorite phone of all time. I had upgraded from a Pixel 2XL to the S21 and boy do I regret it. I just ordered the Pixel 6 since they are finally taking trade ins for the S21. I can't wait to be rid of this piece of junk
@@Moneyexplained.1 Off the top of my head... the curved screen is terrible. I can't even tell you how many times the screen has caused me frustration. If I am watching something on my phone, as I often do in bed, the very slightest of movements by my hand that's holding the phone can be detected as a swipe, either pausing or minimizing the movie. This happens with games as well. It's a constant issue. Also, the face detection is crap compared to the pixel I had before. So many times I am holding the phone directly against my face while I'm talking to someone, and then suddenly they start saying my name and that they can't hear me. It turns out, the screen turned on and my face hit the mute button. Seriously, this happens very often. Almost every phone call... and sometimes multiple times per call. Very irritating. One thing I took for granted from my Pixel was the ability to control data usage on an app by app basis. So for example, I don't want UA-cam to use all my data if I end up dropping my WiFi connection, but I still want other apps to be able to use data regardless. No problem with the Pixel. Not so with this phone. You can't control which apps are allowed to use data when roaming. For me that's a problem because I don't have unlimited data, and THIS PHONE has dropped my WiFi connection WHILE I WAS HOME, causing UA-cam to use a huge amount of data unexpectedly. One last thing just off the top, I don't know if mine is defective or what, but this phone many times doesn't work on a phone call unless I reset the phone. I will call someone, I can hear them talking, but they can't hear me talking. The phone is not on mute, there's nothing wrong I can see, but they hear nothing from my end. I have to restart the phone for them to hear me. This happens randomly and unexpectedly. There are more reasons... but I think you get the point. I just don't like this phone at all. I've only had it 6 months but it's been nothing but problems.
The Pixel 6 ditches that damn curved edge screen and has NO BIXBY BUTTON. Those two points seals the deal for Google. Samsung sucks ass. Stop giving Koreans money. Bring it home.

In terms of software updates on the S21 series, you get actually monthly updates for the next 4+ years. It's on par with the Google Pixel series.
Software update is 3 years both of them with 4 years security update on pixel and 5 years on samsung

If you turn off the auto focus on your camera it will clean up your audio. Great video otherwise!
Currently have an S10. With my current promotion, I can get a Pixel 6 5G for $200, or an S21 for $400. I enjoy mobile gaming, and with both having 8G ram, it seems like the Pixel wins out because of price, and LESS BLOATWARE! lol I never use any of Samsungs add on stuff that comes with it anyway, it just takes up memory. The only reason I'm asking ultimately is the connectivity bugs currently going on with the pixel 6. I'm nervous that the phone simply won't be able to make a simple phone call. Is the connectivity issue associated with 5G in particular? 4G will still allow you to connect? Sorry for the barrage of questions. Thanks for the great video! < peace...
I have an s10 I use for work and it's still a great phone. I don't see the Pixel 6 as an upgrade really worth the money as even the display om the s10 is higher res and has better color. Pixel 6 pro might be worth the upgrade but for me I think I'll still with s10 until Pixel 7
Whatever you do do not buy a Samsung this is my 3rd Samsung and they just did an update on a Galaxy S21 and it no longer makes clear phone calls they know they did it they only did it so you could buy the S22 they had a bad company do not buy a Samsung
which one has a stronger vibration motor? i need a phone that i can actually feel vibrate in my pocket (relax fit jeans)
I don’t know about the S21, but the pixel 6 vibration is the weakest I’ve ever tried

Never had samsungs. They look cheap to me and I don’t wanna pay for extra RAM and storage as they uploaded they own samsung app which you can’t delete.
In other words: you got 12 Gb Ram but official samsung apps using 4gb. So why people have to pay for 12 but using only 8?

I absolutely HATE the S21 ultra. I've had it for probably 6 months now and it's by far my least favorite phone of all time. I had upgraded from a Pixel 2XL to the S21 and boy do I regret it. I just ordered the Pixel 6 since they are finally taking trade ins for the S21. I can't wait to be rid of this piece of junk

@@Moneyexplained.1 Off the top of my head... the curved screen is terrible. I can't even tell you how many times the screen has caused me frustration. If I am watching something on my phone, as I often do in bed, the very slightest of movements by my hand that's holding the phone can be detected as a swipe, either pausing or minimizing the movie. This happens with games as well. It's a constant issue.
Also, the face detection is crap compared to the pixel I had before. So many times I am holding the phone directly against my face while I'm talking to someone, and then suddenly they start saying my name and that they can't hear me. It turns out, the screen turned on and my face hit the mute button. Seriously, this happens very often. Almost every phone call... and sometimes multiple times per call. Very irritating.
One thing I took for granted from my Pixel was the ability to control data usage on an app by app basis. So for example, I don't want UA-cam to use all my data if I end up dropping my WiFi connection, but I still want other apps to be able to use data regardless. No problem with the Pixel. Not so with this phone. You can't control which apps are allowed to use data when roaming. For me that's a problem because I don't have unlimited data, and THIS PHONE has dropped my WiFi connection WHILE I WAS HOME, causing UA-cam to use a huge amount of data unexpectedly.
One last thing just off the top, I don't know if mine is defective or what, but this phone many times doesn't work on a phone call unless I reset the phone. I will call someone, I can hear them talking, but they can't hear me talking. The phone is not on mute, there's nothing wrong I can see, but they hear nothing from my end. I have to restart the phone for them to hear me. This happens randomly and unexpectedly.
There are more reasons... but I think you get the point. I just don't like this phone at all. I've only had it 6 months but it's been nothing but problems.
Please do Galaxy plus, vs regular 6!

The Pixel 6 ditches that damn curved edge screen and has NO BIXBY BUTTON. Those two points seals the deal for Google. Samsung sucks ass. Stop giving Koreans money. Bring it home.
