    My friend owns this company Elevation Off Grid I went to the shop when they built the first one and I was so amazed by the size of these trucks, the topof bed is taller than my head! I thought they were so cool, but I didn't yet understand what they were actually building as I learn more about the capabilities of these vehicles I am more and more amazed every time I look at one. Jeremy and Sergio at Elevation Off Grid are both amazing guys and their dedication to these trucks blows me away. These guys are working 20 hour days and still manage to find the time for their families and Friends. I feel privileged to know these guys personally and to watch them grow their brand. Thank you for the videos!!

    A good alternative to getting a cab & chassis Super Duty is to get an F450 pickup without the detuned medium duty engine. 2023 has a high output diesel with 500hp & 1200tq.

      Yes, if you dont need the 10,000 lbs. load capacity that comes with this configuration. I like the 550 vs 450 since i can haul a very large heavy camper/fifth wheel toy hauler, use it as a car hauler business, then go fishing in the mountains with heavy truck camper on the bed and a boat behind with no need for another vehicle...lol.

    I have had a lot of time behind the wheel of an ambulance that had liquid springs and they are a game changer. Normally when one of the rear tires hits a bump, the entire box (back of the ambulance) sways back and forth a few times. With the liquid springs, you hit the bump and it stops any sway immediately. The first time I experienced this, my mouth about dropped to the floor with a big grin lol. For those of you trying to start IVs, do CPR, or get intubations while driving down the road, it makes a night and day difference.

    • @frictionhitch
      @frictionhitch Рік тому +2

      Yeah but I'm not trying to do that. Seems like the added expense basically $10,000 floss the added expense of the upkeep of the system is probably not worth it if you're not putting IVs in people. It's cool and I would totally want it but for me I'm looking for a truck that will last 20 years at a reasonable price point. For an extra $15,000 over the life of the truck I feel like it needs to be absolutely necessary and for my needs liquid shocks seem like an unjustifiable luxury item. I mean for that I could buy two Godzilla V8 to keep in the garage. Which means I could mod and burn the first one to death and have all of the fun in the world and still have two engines left over. The hydraulic suspension is pretty awesome but it just doesn't seem worth it

    • @calebnation6155
      @calebnation6155 Рік тому +1

      Really? What setting do you run your liquid spring in? The med unit I’m on has them and I feel like they have way too much body rock/roll on any setting besides sport and then the ride suffers. It doesn’t help that the front shocks on my truck are destroyed and the transmission smells like it’s cooking itself 😂

With the $8,500 sound deadening package, would have been nice for TFL to test with a decibel meter, like you do all other trucks, to get a real value rather than "it's really quiet". I'm usually very big on price and $179k is a lot but when you think about it this is the most capable truck you can buy and that says a lot. I don't like how compact it is but I'm sure there's a reason for it. But I would say that's a reasonable price for it. Super capable

      I don’t see this as being much more capable than a F250 with a lift and tires that you could get for half the price. It’s cool, but a novelty

    I thought I would hate this video and truck.. but after watching it perform, seeing the payload, and the fact it has an 8 ft bed. I'm in freaking love and I want it! 10k of payload!!! Holy cow. What does it tow though!!

      Same. I actually watched this video to hate watch it, I thought it was just a big stupid bro truck, but after seeing it perform I actually kind of like it. I can't imagine a use case for it though. Maybe take the bed off and throw some kind of a camper on the back.

    Nice truck! I'm just always skeptical of Fords reliability.
    You need a face off between this and an ACELA!!!!

    id rather spend the money on this than a new g wagon or something. its an offroad beast that can outwork actual off road rigs. this would be a great oilfield truck

      Lol. Oilfields don't need this level of off road capability.

      @happytrails5342 I was in the oilfield for 8 years. I did rental equipment hot shooting and worked on a pipeline. I had to get lift kits and off road tires. There's lots of places I got stuck. I've hauled equipment into some sketchy places with old wells in the middle of nowhere with no roads they were working on. It just depends on where and what you do. It would be great for what I did

      @@rooster-zg4oo interesting I'm a geologist and have talked to many petroleum geologist and personally know the topography of many of the area's nowadays,
      However I do suppose that there is many places where this type of truck is absolutely justified

      @happytrails5342 in west texas there is rocky plateaus and sharp rocks and mesquite down around iraan you need lift kits and big tough tires. As you go north you hit soft sand you can get buried in. There's also pasture for cotton fields further north that's super soft and gets very muddy. The list goes on. Pulling 15k lb trailer up a sharp jagged pipeline incline onto a plateau you need a serious truck and tires. I ripped up the bottom of my truck..blew tires out and got stuck quite a bit.

    Instantly felt in love with this truck! But of course I need more:a megaraptor nose and I need it on....46"!!! Double the tank capacity and turn the armrest into a cooler. Interesting paylod and towing abilities.
    Good review.

    When a dually is converted into a single, DRW to SRW, you inevitably end up with EXPOSED REAR BRAKE CALIPERS AND ROTORS, ready to get bent and broken off ... that's NOT GOOD for any serious offroading; that's like playing football without a jockstrap or even padding ... again, NOT A GOOD IDEA.

    Yeah, you can put a Hummer EV in the bed, but let’s compare the two of these for handling characteristics. Really? How about grabbing a Ram 5500 or GMC. Even a F350 comparison is more relevant. Love this beast.
