Used to have one of these, got "repossessed" by the person that left it at my place for years. I liked it. Solid guitar overall. Nostalgic.

Nice! I love hearing stories like these, Peavey played a huge role in the lives of so many players. I love bringing these beauties back to the world!

Ive got a '87 Peavey Foundation bass in mohagany and i agree that its best viewing angle is the backside that no one sees. Really nice V pattern to the grain where the two slabs meet.

Thanks for the comment @alcesspectre! I've been on the look for a foundation bass to add to my collection! The mahogany they got back in the mid 80s was odd...i'm almost convinced it's not actually mohogany!

@@tjkcivic oh really? I dont know a lot about the wood types tbh. I've got 2 foundations and one Patriot. Looking for info on the 6 strings because I feel like one should be in my collection. These instruments are built to last, and they are still relatively affordable to obtain.

You hit the nail on the head. They're not all perfect, but if you can find a good one, it's definitely built for the long haul!! I am no wood type expert, but there's just something about this particular mahogany that seemed odd to me. I've seen others that are glossier that look great.

@@tjkcivic my "mahogany" one is my favorite. It's the most beat up, it's got nicks and scratches over every inch. The frets are worn. My pick has scraped the finish off in places. It was already like this when I got it in 2011, and the case smelled like cat piss. My black one looks brand new but I just love the worn one so much. Played about 150 shows on it.

Sorry, but sounds like ass to me. Which is kind of a shame since I really like the T-15 and T-60.
