dogs breaking on flush - like most hunting videos - yeah it's harder (but not much) to train steady to wing, shot, fall and release to retrieve, but it's not arbitrary - shooting low-flying birds over a chasing dog is risky
I’d have to agree as well. Anyone that has had a shot gun fired over and behind them can attest to the acoustics. No wonder some of the hunters shout at their dogs, cause they stone deaf. I take exception to hunting mates shooting directly over my dog. Not safe and not pleasant for them.
