United Field Trialers Association - Unleashed

All across the country, men and women are playing an extremely competitive game with their dogs, and the time and energy they pour into the sport is driven by a passion and love for their dogs. The United Field Trialer's Association (UFTA) holds field trials all across the country, allowing dogs and handlers to showcase their skills in the field. We traveled to Kentucky for the UFTA Nationals and caught up with Kinetic Pro-Staff Randy and Nathan Hilligus from Magic Valley Pointers in New York to find out what it takes to compete in these events.

Out of interests sake, what happens to the birds after they are shot? Are they eaten? I am truly just curious. My dog is raw fed so after removing the bullet (if there is one) I would feed the bird to my dog.

Nothing goes to waste. The birds are cleaned and either eaten at events or donated to local food banks.
