Just for future reference, you can't really base quality off amazon reviews anymore. It's been known that they put in a lot of fake reviews for all their products (especially amazon choice ones). As a channel that focuses on chairs, we all definitely appreciate you seeing whether or not the reviews are legit, though, so please keep this series alive!
That's why we like buying "highly rated" on Amazon, because it is definitey hit or miss. When you hit though, it can be a solid value if you're on a tight budget :) -GK
@@btodtv I have degenerative disc disease and mostly watch videos reclined. I also get sciatic nerve pain so it will need excellent cushion for the bottom. What recommendations would you have for that?
I got a gabrilly six months or so back and I've been happy enough with it. I'd definitely give it a 4 out of 5 or so. Definitely beats the worn out old style pleather office chairs with busted suspension that I'd had for a decade prior.
You know man, this kind of money is a lot especially nowdays but it's important and I thank you for such well crafted, quick, informative videos. Never subbed to a chair guy. Take it tho!
I'm considering buying the Molents (don't care about the free lumbar cushion). Is it a good chair? I am also considering the Ticova, but leaning toward the Molents because it has a sliding seat adjustment (pretty rare at this price point). Is the seat depth adjustment on this chair useful or not very effective? I am 6'5" so I think a deeper seat with a slider would help support my thighs (most chairs leave about a foot between the edge of the seat and my knees). The stated measurements of the Molents also make it a little taller (but the same depth, so I think the slider would be good). How do the Ticova and the Molents compare in terms of comfort and build quality? What ergonomic office chair would you recommend for a guy who is 6'5" and 220?
I'm kind of glad these new chairs didn't dethrone the Ticova or Mellet because I liked your reviews of the Mellet and I actually purchased one last week and it should be arriving soon. I did purchase the fabric back option because I thought it might have more comfort and I was worried about mesh sag over time, hopefully I made a smart choice🤠
Solid option for sub $300. I would like the try that version as well. I think it could be potentially better than the mesh -GK

@@fedya618 I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s been over a year and there’s no problems with it. I changed out the wheels on them so it could move easier over carpet and I took out the lumbar support because it’s a little stiff but besides it’s been really solid! May I ask what’re you looking for in a chair and what’s your height and weight?

Unfortunetly as a Europian I cant get most of tested chairs in my east regon of UE. We have a lot similar chairs but are on difrent name/brend from China and i'm afraid the quality is not same. Only "easy to get", "premium" brand avaiable is Steelcase, but mostly online only (and it's not in my budget).
So I'm watching Your videos to know what i want, but before shopping still i need to do my own research from available brands. This is why I stuck with Ikea chair from few years...
I know the feeling, the European market seems to be rather limited when it comes to good office chair brands.
However, I have heard good things about Kinnarps, so it might be worth checking them out.

3:44 I spent a long time looking at at this one and reading the reviews If it was not for the arm rests this chair would be on my list to consider purchasing. The arm rests are the deal breaker for me. Although most chairs I see I will have to sacrifice the arm rests compared to my current chair which has a 4 inch height adjustment range.
I strongly suggest you to try cybeart's gaming chair, it has helped me alot in back pain.
8-16-23 I just ordered this on the strength of your review and it was $439 on Amazon "flash sale". My only real concern is the 19" seat width as I like to sit cross-legged.

It didn't seem like had anythjng bad at all to say about the Bilkoh. The Ticova is way too small for me. How does it compare size wise(especially seat depth) to the Ticova?

I recently saw a La Z Boy mesh ergo chair at Best Buy online that looks like a newer version of their Joel model, around $300-400… but can’t find any info on it. Would love to know any thoughts if you have them!
Personally loving the Realm of Thrones Admiral, which I don't see covered in any amount of depth anywhere which is a shame. I got the Ticova before it but the arm rests and more aggressive lumbar on the admiral won me over and I gave the Ticova to my parents. The mesh is higher quality, too. The only issue is the lumbar mesh has a little too much give and there's a very poorly placed bit of metal behind it which your back CAN slightly feel if you lean on it with too much pressure. The firmness of the mesh seat and back are comfortable for me because I weigh about as much as a feather.

@@troecurov3 I would recommend the updated version that's currently available- the lumbar and back rest are no longer separated and it looks less aggressive so will be more comfortable and avoids the issue I mentioned in my post.

I recently got the Gabrylly chair but I am not sure if I want to keep it, its causing significantly less back/hip pain than my previous chair, but I am still thinking about the secretlabs titan evo 2022. I know one is a gaming chair and the other is an ergonomic office chair, but would you think that the titan (XL specifically, I'm 6'2") would be an upgrade from the Gabrylly? Apart from slight pain from the seat (I think from the hard plastic frame) my main other complaint is that the headrest is unuseable for me in a position where I can still see my monitor, the headrest seems to only be for reclining whereas the titan looks like the cushion would support your head/neck regardless of chair positioning and still allow you to view the monitor.
Don't waste your money on the Titan.
The pain you get from the seat edges could be remedied by using a footrest, and the headrest is only meant to be used when reclining, you don't need one when sitting upright.

what I like is that all these five chairs have a headrest, and some of those headrests seems to be also good. It's incredible that a lot of the high end chairs often still don't even have one.

I believe that for ergonomic office work, a headrest is not recommended. Something to do with weakening neck muscles too much if I remember correctly. Which probably is why headrests on higher end chairs are either not included or often very limited in what sort of support they can deliver (only when reclining).
@@creesch I suspect that a lot of people would not use it constanty. Personally if I'm working I don't need one, but I want a chair that allows me also to recline and relax when I want to. And it's a bit frustrating that there's not a lot attention to that for many (I'm tempted to say most) quality chairs while it looks more and more common to find decent headrests (or very good ones like the Clatina) on cheaper ones.
@@ptose That's because with cheaper chairs they are trying to compete on features as much as possible. Adding a head rest is an easy relatively low cost feature to add if you aren't overly concerned with the ergonomic usage of it. With Herman Miller for example it is clear they have taken the stance that a head rest can actually be bad for posture and all that so they are simply not including it.
To be clear, yeah it is annoying when you sometimes want to kick back and just chill and generally use it responsibly. I am also not saying they are right to do so, I am just trying to provide the context to what I think is the reasoning for the lack of headrests in higher end chairs.
A headrest isn't supposed to be used if you're sitting, only if you're reclining. Sit up straight and let your neck hold your head.

Production for products like this has to be done in mass. If they found an issue after an order that was their engineering issue - it’s not something they can just “fix”. That’s most likely why the note was included. Future versions would most likely address it
Been thinking about the new Newtral chair that just went live in Kickstarter but tbh I was scared that the whole thing was a scam. The updates and project had a weird vibe and it seems like they only sent review models to very small channels. The fact that you reviewed their original model and it’s not just made of cardboard gives me hope though.
I am having major angst over whether to cancel my Newtral pledge or not. What I'm most concerned about is whether it's going to last a while or not.

I'm a backer. September is just around the corner, if you didn't buy during august you'll be seeing it soon.
I regret my decision to back, promised September/October fulfillment, and in Mid November, they haven't even really started shipping to USA backers, much less to any "foreign" backers. Last official update was end of October when they promised people would get tracking numbers "in two weeks". When called out, all you get are auto replies that state, "just two more weeks."
I'm just looking for the most comfortable chair with a good headrest around the $1000 range. I have been watching your videos and love them. You guys recommend too many chairs that don't have headrests, or when they have headrests, they are either cheap chairs, uncomfortable, or the headrests are garbage (looking at the Leap.) Is there a chair that exists that has a good headrest, but has similar/somewhat similar comfort to the Leap/Amia under $1000?
The problem with chairs is that the question of "is this chair for me?" can only be answered by sitting on the thing for at least 2 hours in a row. When it comes to the internet there is always uncertainty. Even something as the bottom cushion being too short can make a chair feel oppressive.
Does they have the Synchro mechanic ? Cause This should be on every Good ergonomic Office chair …

What would be a good mesh chair that has a comfortable seat? I tried a herman miller aeron size B last week and while it was ok, I felt like maybe a size C might be more comfortable on my rear end? Any wide seat mesh chairs out there? Im 6'1 190lbs

@@btodtv Do you think the LogicFox Chair mentioned in this video could be an option? Amazon says the seat dimension is 20.5"L*20.5"W which is comparable to the Aeron size C. Besides mesh chairs, which chairs would you recommend where the seat cushion won't bottom out on me, I would like to buy something that will last me long term around a $500 budget? I'm open minded to more expensive options but only if they really hit the mark.
The size C Aeron might end up being too wide for you tbh, it may also cause you upper leg problems if your legs are too short.
If you do still like the feel of mesh, you could try the Cosm or the Mirra 2.
However, if mesh feels uncomfortable for you, then you need to look at foam cushion chairs like the Leap v2.

Our office purchased very expensive office chairs and within 5 months, the Mesh on the seats started to "dry-rot" or came apart at the seam. We decided not to purchase any office chair which has Mesh as the seat.
The more I see your videos, the more I'm struggling to choose correct one for me... What should I choose for everyday work 12h+ in chairs, height 178cm, weight 84kg?
Ticova or Mellet. Mellet is $70 cheaper but the bottom is meh. they have fabric option instead of meshh which may make more comfortable

@@F00Ntik Since you've got a fairly high budget, I'd recommend chairs from Herman Miller, Steelcase or Haworth.
If you're a fan of mesh, you could choose the Mirra 2 or Aeron.
If not, then the Leap v2, Amia, Zody or Fern are great options.
No point wasting your money on a cheaper option, if you have the budget to afford a high end office chair.
i just got the Ticova and it has fully adjustable 3d armrests now, maybe they changed that? So far i really love it

@@frapsATV so far it feels like a good purchase. My Back is much better and it seems solid. Armrests are adjustabe in height, forwards/backwards and can be angled outwards and inwards. It's also one of the first chairs that fits my height perfectly, im close to 1,90 meters. Cant say much about how long it lasts since its only about a month now
@@frapsATV Did you end up getting the Ticova? If so, thoughts? First day with my Ticova here and I am loving it but of course I haven't even had it for more than 24 hours. I have been sitting in it for over 3 hours tonight and no back pain at all. I am actually extremely impressed and the build quality seems good enough to last at least a year or two. I also bought the $20 accidental insurance because the Ticova was only $140 after sales and the coupon they provide on Amazon. I just had one of those $200 gaming chairs with the pillows for 3 months. Looked fancy, decent reviews, but holy crap worst purchase in my life. Uncomfortable as all heck, couldn't even sit in that chair for an hour. Then there were another 4 bad things I had to say about that chair. I thankfully was able to get a 3/4 refund for it and the refund more than paid for the Ticova!

Mesh chairs are walletrape, I don't know how anyone could put the same amount of money in for a chair that is made of nothing. You could install a I office piston under a deck chair and get the same experience

You keep recommending this Ticova chair. I took your word because you seem like a serious review channel and ordered one. This chair is a piece of GARBAGE:
a. The sit depth is for tiny people or children (I am 1.83m/6ft.)
b. The reclining has only 3 positions in the worse places.
c. The sit padding is the worse part, it's non-existent. You literally sit on the wood/plastic (whatever is inside).
I am deeply dissspointed and feeling betrayed, is it some amazon scam ? Are you affiliated with this terrible brand? I can't explain it any other way.
This one will go back to Amazon unless one of my friends want to come and pick up this piece of garbage.
