A film by The Ghosts of Nothing
Following on from "Sounds of Unridden Waves" (2020-), "Sounds of Clouds" (2024-) is the second instalment of a three-part, multi-year postconceptual artwork. It consists of an original soundtrack and feature length film, presented as part of an immersive installation together with paintings, limited edition artefacts and texts. Although a quasi-narrative arc is implicitly apparent, the specific time and place at which "Sounds of Clouds" is located remains deliberately fluid. Like untamed entities that allegorically dwarf the beholder, successive constellations of clouds build an eerie strangeness and a sublime posthuman otherness that is at once uncannily familiar and strangely alien.
