I studied about the Holocaust my whole life. I spent hours and hours listening to the testimonies of the Shoah Foundation and read books both fact and fictional set during the Holocaust. It was difficult at times to even get thru some of the materials available about that insane time in world history. Then I met some Palestians who live in Gaza during this time in history. For the past few years I’ve been very much involved in studying atrocities being committed in Palestine. 🇵🇸 in every case I’ve felt the same horror as I did reading and learning about the Holocaust. I challenged my Palestinian friends in “terrorisms” and I came to the conclusion that in this current day, it is the Israelis committing the atrocities against the Palestinians eerily comparable to what happened to the victims of the Holocaust. Too similar to just shrug off. Call it whatever you want, it’s a genocide.

Yup often abused people become abusers some dont but some do. Seems like smerica has taken these abused people and told them they can be like hitler now and be the big abusive guy and that appeals to them. I mean I way hitler was also a response to the victim hood germany felt after the first World War. Thats why victim mentality is no good. It creates unending circles of violence and why religions generally teach that you leave God to punish your abusers and you live a good life yourself instead of pass it on.

Just as the IDF invaded the Jenin Freedom Theatre and destroyed all the equipment and their computers, then dobbed disgusting slurs on the walls in Hebrew the Nazis dug up all the gravestones from a Jewish cemetery and made a pathway out of them leading up to the headquarters of the infamous Nazi Amon Goth as portrayed in the excellent movie Schindler's List. One group is acting as bad as the other.
Two European groups espoused to be the "Super Race" or the "Chosen People" the same two groups herded their weaker victims in to large Ghettos, and the same two groups reacted savagely against them when they had the temerity to rise up and fight back.
Warsaw and Gaza are the clues.

Well better also start studying the conflict in the region so you can understand why Israel has dehumanised the Arabs that want to wipe them off the Earth.

I'm so grateful for Masha Gessen. She's one of the increasingly shrinking group of truly principled, truly humanitarian Jews who understand keenly the irony and the horror of Israel's crimes against the Palestinians. So many of the intellectual.champions of global Jewry are right on issue and yet the mainstream is so violently opposed to their empathy, their words, their wisdom.

Seeing Israel commit these crimes against Palestinians has been completely heartbreaking and infuriating. We are watching a genocide being carried out while national leaders are not only allowing it to happen, they're funding it and lying to defend it.

I am Buddhist but I don't believe there is such things as one right religion or culture; I fell great spirit or what some call god, created everyone different as a spiritual test to see if we can find a way to get a long despite are difference I love jewish & palistine as my brothers & sisters & I pray for cease fire on both sides also for more women support shelters to build all around the world there's not enough of them I mean there's documentaries proving there's a lot of bad things going on in the Middle East towards women and children but there's also a lot of sexual crimes and oppression towards women in America to it's just called something different they call it sex trafficking in America in the Middle East they call it pleasure marriages in America it's called domestic violent deaths in the Middle East it's called honor killings so not much difference women who join the armed forces in America get raped because men don't want them there most of them don't and Israel Jewish soldiers said that male soldiers insulted them by saying that they can be soldiers as long as they keep their hair smelling nice sexist religions are causing so Much Death and oppression towards women and girls and sexual crimes there's a lot of sexualized media out there that needs to be getting rid of but I don't believe in genocide towards Palestine it's not the way to resolve things I wouldn't want people to genocide America even though the American government is doing horrible things to other countries and to the moment so I don't wish this genocide upon Palestine people either and not all Arabians are the same I've met all different sorts of Muslims who act different most of them act peaceful and have not tried to harm me even though I'm a lesbian some of them did threaten to kill me but most of them have not there was good Muslims that protected me from other bad Muslims does the Quran actually is against honor killings and they're against War over religion most Muslims don't want to do world of religions they just want to live peacefully where can go to school in raise their families there's a small amount of terrorists that are Taliban and Isis but the majority of Muslims are not terrorists I feel like America and Israel and Britain just their government trying to make out like there's more terrorists and there really is to have an excuse to oppressed people and I know that Joe Biden left those weapons in Afghanistan on purpose he wants women and children to be oppressed so it's easier for America to take over and drill for oil and gas in the Middle East that is why Israel is oppressing palestine's and what are the reasons but I know there's good Jewish people out there and I'm not going to do any hate crimes towards Jewish more Palestine even though there are there are good and bad Jewish Palestinians Americans Etc when I judge someone's character I go by individual basis not by generalized rumors and racism Britain did the same thing in World War II they tried to pretend to be Saudi Arabia's friends and then gave British weapons that Saudi Arabia is Prince and King found in their enemies hands and they said they would go to war with Britain unless they signed a treaty which they did but Britain and America and Israel are still oppressing Middle Easterns they're just trying to look like they're not but quite a few Americans are not stupid enough of us know the truth I mean I'm dying slowly because my own country doesn't even take care of me my medical sucks I'm getting gaslighted by doctors and not getting the treatment that I need to get medically better so I'm very I don't celebrate the 4th of July ever I did as a kid cuz I didn't know the corruption in my country but now I know and I don't celebrate anymore it's I'm too ashamed of my own country and people think that I'm a Nazi because my last name is German but they don't think before they say my first name is Arabian if I was a Nazi or my mom was a Nazi she wouldn't have named me in Arabian first name and my great-grandparents were actually Marked for Death by Hitler because they are half Italian half German in Germany they're called black Germans after the Italians pulled out of the war they were Marked for Death and they escaped and they went to America my great-grandfather became a nurse for the American soldiers and they changed their last name it used to be f r u c h t l which my grandmother says means little fruit they were fruit farmers and they changed it to f r i c h t l so we wouldn't be discriminated against so one person asked me if I was related to Hitler and I'm like oh man I have to change my last name actually have Native American in me as well my mother is native and Scottish I am not a Nazi but people assume I am because of my last name is German so I don't judge Arabian people I don't think they're all the same I mean I've there's a lot of Arabian Muslim cab drivers and disability bus drivers and none of them try to rape me when we're alone I remember in Israel Jewish news person said that all Arabian people act like animals and I'm like I don't think so most of them seem pretty peaceful I mean there's good and bad people in every culture but then I hear there's all Jewish people are bad that all of them hate people that aren't Jewish and I'm sure some of them are like that but but I don't believe all Jewish people are like that have met some that love other people even though they're not Jewish hang out with non-jews and some of them even Mary Arabians even though it's frowned upon on both sides and not all Arabian women are terrorists there's many that wear the veil and don't wear the veil and they protest against Taliban and they get killed cuz then these women want to go to school and want to work and aren't allowed to so if they're willing to give their life for Freedom away from Taliban they're obviously not terrorists so I just want to say thank you for speaking the truth and I am so sorry about what happened at the Holocaust I've seen movies it is very heinous when I watch the movie Schindler's List the little Jewish girl in red I so wanted to jump in the movie and rescue her from her soon f a t e I try to explain to people there were German generals that tried to assassinate Hitler cuz they felt the Holocaust was going too far they were unsuccessful they just injured him but later they were all executed by other German soldiers there were German people who were spies for the American side and wanted to stop Hitler and they died in the process I remember when I lived in the shelter there were a handful of Muslims that wanted to kill me cuz I'm a lesbian but there was another Muslim guy he told them that they shouldn't be smoking drugs and drinking alcohol in the Quran is against honor killings and he protected me there was a Muslim woman that stood up for me in the women's bathroom there was a handful of women discriminating against me because I'm a lesbian and the Muslim woman said that I am not sexually harassing anybody I am acting peaceful in the bathroom I should be allowed to shower and you have to shower to stay alive in the shelter because there's mites and they eat at your skin I had a friend that almost died from meningitis of the brain cuz he didn't have any money and he was eating off people's plates and he was too depressed to go to the free food meal place and so she literally saved my life I've seen one guy with like hundreds of mites crawling off of him cuz he didn't shower and he look like his skin was rotting he was horrendous most of the staff bully clients because they want to make it more chaotic to get more funding and then they pocket and steal some of the money and they got in trouble for it and the drug dealers try to bully people so they get depressed to get them on drugs but I didn't give in there was a Jewish volunteer man and he was so kind of everybody loved him he treat us better than the staff did and he wasn't even getting paid he came up to me and he put his hand on my shoulder and says I'm worried about you your health and I said I know I'm dying from a bone marrow condition and I am getting gaslighted by doctors even though I'm diagnosed and not getting the medical treatment I'm supposed to get and he just sat and listened with a good open heart he cared about me even though I have German blood and he's very forgiving even though Germans have done horrible things to his people and that really transformed my soul so I share my story and I try to open people's hearts to I wish you peace and enlightenment

My family has lost members in the Holocaust too although not Jewish. They belong to the forgotten ones ...What I absolutely fail to understand are the reactions of our Western governments other than the US - they always support the wrong side anyway. But what happened to our European governments? When has their moral compass been so absolutely switched off that they condone and even fund this extermination campaign?! I'm left speechless and can't understand it ... although I don't have any illusions about politics and/or politicians. Still - it hurts and is shamful.

I am glad that someone else is also making this comparison. There are other similarities in vocabulary: the first had "lebensraum" and "Third Reich", the second has "the promised land" and "The Third Temple". Then one had is targeted enemy to eliminate, and the other refers back to its myths to find an enemy to target--Amalek. The PM there has referred to that ancient myth to apply it to the current conflict so his intentions are clear.

As I can see the similarities you are seeing the comparison to what nazis did is often used inflationary these days because many are familiar with it and referring to when wanting to express how cruel, inhumane, oppressing actions are to others (ethnic groups). But being used too often in a situation not quite fitting often due to a lack of not knowing a quite more fitting term or historical context, we relevate it and doing injustice to the victims of it and destabilize our opionion instead of making a point. The terms racist and antisemitic are another example for this. There is no israelian agenda to teach their kids in school how to recognize an Arab using degrading cartoons while insisting they are subhumans, neither are invading other countries with the aim to get rid of all Arabs in the world. They don’t take away all their belongings and the very last of it, shave their heads and tattoo a number on them, they don’t let them work until their bodies can’t take it anymore and are of no use anymore - as one would think but not the nazis beeing so systematic that besides taking their gold teeth finding use in their ashes as fertilizer…
The colonialisation of the USA (and other countries) which included/s the massmurdering, expulsion and dehumanization of natives forcing them to live in restricted smaller areas, withhelding equal rights and self-determination might be a better historical and well known reference

I feel those in charge of Israel have learned from the Holocaust, South Africa's Apartheid and the United States taking land from Natives how to treat the Other. But we're not allowed to talk about it? As he says it invites the comparison to the Warsaw Ghetto and its liquidation.
As a kid, I learned the phrase "Never forget, never again" for the Holocaust and genocide. As an adult I learned it was only for Jews, not Cambodians, not Bosnian Muslims, not Rwandan Tutsis, not Darfuri in Sudan, not East Timor, not the Rohingya in Myanmar and so on. Thanks for this interview. If I may add, I also looked at the Warsaw ghetto to get an idea whether Israel was following the Nazi extermination process. What I found that the phases are stretched out in terms of time. The first phase was isolation and containment/starving, the second phase awaited an organised uprising and collective punishment is what is happening now, The final phase was the permanent solution which was extermination and a lot of the words came out of the mouths of the Israeli regime including bury alive in mass graves. The last pictures of naked captives clearly state the final phase which includes mass extermination as we know in the Warsaw ghetto included the extermination in the camps Auschwitz and Treblinka. In Israel's case they openly considered using nuclear bombs. So in light of all this as the Palestinians are forced further south and compacted into the border shouldn't the world be worried that there is a final extermination plan brewing with disastrous consequences? Shouldn't there be UN military on the ground or an immediate inspection of weapons of mass destruction? This could potentially turn into a world war of epic destruction.

It shocked me a lot that even somebody so passionate against genocide would not recognize it when it is right in front of him. I did not dare to speak up then. Shuddering at the memory, covering her face, with difficulty, the eyewitness continued: One terrorist pulled the woman's long hair, forcibly arching her neck backwards, fully exposing her naked torso, only to sever both her breasts from her chest with his commando knife. Her entire torso fell backwards, slackened in agony. She may have fainted, though she lived through the mutilation. The disembodied breasts fell to the ground, where terrorists casually played with them.
Sergeant Major Natah Katz from the IDF Rabbinical Unit at the Shura base near Ramle described to me cadavers he received with breasts and genitals hacked off, one with a knife impaled directly into the vagina. The mutilation of sexual organs and breasts, "seemed to be an obsession," he recalled. Dr. Chen Kugel, head of Israel's National Forensic Center has confirmed to me the same.

But, baffling and ever so sadly, with the ramping up of the disinformation/propaganda wars that exponentially accelerated since 2016……I’ve seen the most incredible change in the very moral fiber of too many that I love and respected. Ghaza's border with Egypt is far from open. And the Ghazans didn't "choose" to be in an open air prison. I hope u don't come up with any rediculous Hamas thing. Hamas since its foundation had its main stronghold in Ghaza but the Israelis only began their complete blockade after 2007. Why? Because there were no Israelis left there as they withdraw from there to enable the blockade in the first place. Now the Israelis are trying to portrait it as an initial step from them towards two state solution but It's not because the government that preparated it was Ariel Sharon government and was openly against two state solution and the withdrawal was completely unilateral. Not to mention that the blockade affects normal people far more than Hamas and Hamas ability . Finally a document leaked by wikileaks showed that an Israeli official said that they wanted their economy to be at a glimpse of collapse. Because of all the previous reasons all human rights organizations as Amnesty International , HRW , UN and the Red Cross publicly said that it was not legitimate and a violation of Geneva convention and international law in general. Lastly, even if u don't believe all the above reason. October 7th attack simply showed that the blockade was an absolute failure so all the atrocities it caused were for nothing. I hope u stop be an Islamophobe and think of other people as equal human beings that deserve to live and thrive. Thank u

Germany should focus on being on the right side of the issue, but it would be quickly associated with a Nazi past. Germany needs to distance itself from the US pseudo-occupation that exists currently without swinging wildly to the right, as many states are due to the AfD leveraging these emotions.

From the Heinrich Boell Foundation's mission statement ('Who we are' - easy to google): 'Fostering democracy and upholding human rights, taking action to prevent the destruction of the global ecosystem, advancing equality between women and men, securing peace through conflict prevention in crisis zones, and defending the freedom of individuals against excessive state and economic power - these are the objectives that drive the ideas and actions of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. We maintain close ties to the German Green Party (Alliance 90/The Greens) and as a think tank for green visions and projects, we are part of an international network encompassing well over 100 partner projects in approximately 60 countries.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation works independently and nurtures a spirit of intellectual openness. We maintain a world wide network with currently 30 international offices. We cooperate closely with 16 state-level Böll Foundations in each of Germany’s federal states, and we support talented, socio-politically engaged undergraduate and graduate students in Germany and abroad.
We gladly follow Heinrich Böll’s exhortation for citizens to get involved in politics, and we want to inspire others to do the same.'
Well, in this case, it's not 'who you are'. Shame on the Foundation for misusing Heinrich Boell's name and legacy as a frequently uncomfortable intellectual presence in German politics, not to mention freeriding on his 1972 Nobel Literature Prize.

Terabytes of their own video data confirm Hamas raped, amputated breasts, mutilated women's genitals, and committed systematic sexual crimes on both the living and the dead. Necrophilia has been explicitly reported.

One account, far from unusual, is especially harrowing: A woman who survived the Nova music festival in Re'im witnessed a young woman encircled by Hamas, stripped naked, violated, and manhandled by multiple Hamas terrorists as they gang raped her, repositioning her by the waist and hips, moving from one rapist to the other.
