I like how Bill of all people talks boomhaur outta his depression.
Bill should take his own advice.
It is one of my favourite Bill moments.
He definitely should take his own advice!
He does take his own advice. That's the whole point.
He does, haha! He's saying he's been in Boomhauser's shoes many time before, and he'll keep on getting up on his feet and to try again.
he doses he's just not going about it in the best way
He does tho
He literally said he has
I love when Bill is competent, and I love when boomhaur talks for any long amount of time. They truly are philosophers.
The best rant of the whole show in my opinion is Dale going off on Bill about being in the men's chorus
YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME ENVY THE DEAF AND THE BLIND
UNDERWEAR
MONEY
FAT
I didn’t see anything wrong with that choir other than making Bill miss work.
@@willieholmes1483 Yeah, they just demanded too much from him
Dale probably doesn't realize that he's already a taxpayer because he pays sales tax.
His wife is the primary breadwinner, so she likely handles product flow in the House
Dale strikes me as the kind of man who has a decent upline on cigarettes to the point where he can get them without the sales tax
Essentially the only thing his business is good for is the gas in that dead bug vehicle and miscellaneous conspiracy products he keeps in his basement
True
Or does he?....
Dale does mention using the Freedom of Information Act to fight the IRS when they challenged his status as a tax-exempt church, so it's likely he pays very little sales tax as well.
Nancy's salary may or may not be taxed, but we just don't know. The anime didn't have that filler episode.
What makes the tax joke even better is that he submits his tax forms in July, nearly three months after the deadline of April 15th.
It's nerdy but one of those jokes that you enjoy more as an adult.
😮💨 that bill monologue was deep. "Digging holes. "Fallen through them " "climbing out" "Trying again."
We can always use this in life
Hank able to hang onto a light pole during a tornado as his clothes are ripped off are impressive feats
Hank hill > Popeye
He trained with Sikorsky for dat grip strength 😩
Hank had the makings of a varsity athlete
He still does, he's just more of a family man now
5:40 I actually heard “Dust in the Wind” and “Candle in the Wind” back to back on the Spotify the other day, and my mind was blown like no non-KOTH fan would ever understand. Immediately made me want to go shop for some dang ol’ Propane and Propane accessories.
Bills speech to Boomhauer was the most wholesome speech in the series
Imagine being on patrol and driving up on a sunburnt heat stricken gibbering man just to find out he’s a Texas ranger.
“So about that “head cut off thing?..”
It’s just one of many of the pieces of evidence that the whole Texas ranger thing was thrown in for the final
I love you! And Bobby! And Luanne... To a lesser extent
Awwwww
"runningaroundlikeachickenwithitsheadcutoff man, Head. Cut. Off!"
*Grabs pistol*
Peggy gets a lot of hassle for her bad episodes, but Peak Peggy is great.
Honestly, I think don't blame the character, blame the writers for what they do with the character.
@@JacobKinsley Yeah, the later episodes tried to make her flaw utter hubris and narcissism, where as her real flaw was self esteem and trying to take pride and overperform to make up for her own self esteem issues, add in some real confidence for her passions and you've got peak Peggy.
"Hed.Cut.Off."
And Bobby & luanne to a lesser extent LMAO
Everyone thought Boomhaur was a crazy man 😂
1:15 1:17 my favorite line of the entire series
When Hank's mom's reflection first appeared I thought it was a ghost or something until it the pov turned around
*Dale is actually correct about “the beast” global information system*
Shout out to Bill "The Bulldozer" Dauterive. Mans was always going through it but when his friends needed him he was always there, no matter the danger
Based Bobby
Bobby DO be havin a gf
Man there are some good ones here, and yet, a lot of other good ones that are missing, such as Dale making Bill realize he has no place in the "Harmonaholics"
To a lesser extent, least he's honest.
The way hank says "well that's what we tell ourselves isn't it boomhaur" completely sells that "oh god one of the guys in the group is going existential what do we do" experience
Man Cotton always looked like an old baby
Cotton raised Hank. Where do you think Hank got all his words of wisdom from?😂😂😂😂😂
That episode with boomhauer going around Austin with nothing but his speedos on 😂 give the guy some flip flops though!
RIP Dale Gribble
keep up the great work
I seem to recall a moment between Hank & a twig boy where Hank was losing his s**t over Bobby possibly getting taken away.
Boomhauer is that real friend!
If your partner looks at you like Peggy does at Hank precisely at 1:39, you have done something right.
5:38
Boomhauer goes from a deep thought to pretty much blowing his own mind.
My favorite King of the Hill rant, although its really brief, is from the episode where Peggy poses as a nun to get a full-time teaching job. Hank confronts Peggy about impersonating a nun, and Peggy pushes back saying it's not hurting anybody (in fact she was actually preventing kids from getting hurt) and she says "At least I'm not pretending to be a Rabbi, circumcising boys left and right. People do that you know?" And she's absolutely right about that even though it has nothing to do with the fraud she's doing. But it's true. Circumcision is a religious ritual. It's not preventive medicine, like some doctors would like people to believe. The real reason it's done in American hospitals 70 years after it was no longer trendy to beat your children for touching themselves, is purely profit motivation. It's one thing if you practice it in your religion, but to pretend like it's a necessity is just sick and unforgivable.
People trash talk Peggy but she spits straight facts so many times throughout the show.
Dale Gribble Is The Funniest
I really do hope that the revival continues to create great moments like the onse in this video.
Bills the best motivational speaker fs
DA, Rusty Shackleford, is a true American Hero!!!
America love it or leave it
Dale is the alpha Karen
I really enjoy Bobby's take on being fat. You don't have to feel bad about it and it's only insecure weirdos who want you to
And Luanne to a leaser extent !
As of 2pm yesterday
A girlfriend 😏
And now I’m going to 🤮😂 4:22
Love the tan lines. Like a female porn star hilarious
3:56
And now I'm going to vomit
I really like Peggy's rant to Cotton because it isn't about her ego, even though she has plenty to talk to Cotton about in regards to his treatment of her. She did it for Hank, she wanted Hank to end his relationship with his dad on a high note of some kind, because she cares for him that much.
The most selfish major character in the show did something for her husband for no reason other than it's the right thing to do.
I know a lot of people hate Peggy, but she backed up Hank 100%.
She's igonrant as hell but NOT rude!
People hate Peggy?
she's a flawed character. any time people see a flawed female character they hate them, but they don't want a perfect female character because that's a mary sue. kinda seems like some people just don't like female characters at all.
@@skele3310Big difference between a flawed character and one that never learns from their mistakes. Peggy is the latter
@@chucksenhowzen9740I think the only reason she didn't learn from her mistakes is because the show is supposed to be the kind where you can watch an episode at any point and it makes sense. That's like saying homer never learns in the Simpsons. Like, that's how it works. He's not supposed to remember things between episodes.
King of the Hill has some of the greatest speeches from these characters and it's just so fitting for them.
I feel like every character has a moment like that not all of them were in this video I think
The writers knew who their characters were. gg
Peggy Hill is the only person who could make the words “I hope you never die, and live forever” sound malicious.
True. Though in many stories of immortality, the character that lives forever quickly realizes the curse of watching all the people they care about, pass on. Many stories exemplify what a burden it would be. But Peggy put it into words perfectly.
One of the few times where Peggy was the most articulate.
And Cotton, being the malicious old SOB he is, promptly dies out of sheer spite.
And out of SPITE, Cotton dies immediately afterwards.
I didn't realize, even though she is the busiest body that has ever busy-bodied, Peggy Hill was pretty dang bada**
Peggy just fucking unloading on Cotton like that ("I hope you live *forever*. I REALLY do.") is one that gives me chills. such a raw moment.
A raw moment, only to be out done by Cotton who decides to die just to spite her
@@Dear1Stupit1Dog yeah cotton was so cold for that one
And then he died out of spite!😂
The only reason why it felt so good was because that episode undid Cotton’s character development over the course of the entire show.
Hank calling Buck Strickland a bastard and Bill encouraging Boomhauer are my favorite King of the Hill rants.
3:56 hank got hungry and ate his microphone lots of times. Haha
I wish I had a tenth of Bobby’s confidence when I was in middle school.
I think I had an 89th of what he had.
Don't we all
It would've helped so much lol
i wish i had a tenth of bobby's confidence at 29 years old
Amen to that
Hank is an actual God he was able to hold onto that pole while whole trailers were being ripped from the ground. Edit: And apparently Peggy is the flash with how quickly she fixed her hair lmao.
Well, he did kick right through one of the barricades on a NASCAR track so I would say God isn’t that far off
@@jamiemiller1482
Barricades designed to STOP cars that go from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. Then Hank Hill kicked it like playdoh
Yeah but what about Peggy standing 20 feet away on two feet?
He couldn't die yet, there was still more propane and propane accessories that needed selling
@@jamiemiller1482 You have to remember this episode aired in May of 98. The fences were just regular fences at alot of tracks back then. @Invader Peridot And a trailer has a MUCH larger area for wind to get a hold of it so that's not a good comparison either.
An animated comedy series gives better life advice than my own family
Yyyyep.
Just because people are our family doesn't mean they have the best intent or integrity.
It's important to learn the right thing from anywhere
4:30 Bobby's "I'm fat and that's okay" speech is really somethin', I tell ya what. when you are truly okay with something, others pointing it out won't bother you.
Talkin' bout that dang old be happy in your own skin man you know I just be sayin' life's too short to let dang old bastards be grinding you down man yknow
@@ThatGuyNicho’sho ‘nuff Boomhauer.
The only problem with that is health complications, but we have our own path.
"Computers don't make errors, what they do; they do on purpose" - dale.
*Looks at youtube's bots*
Dale, I'm sorry we ever doubted you.
Right?
Dale Gribble as a character and Mike Judge as a writer were incredibly prescient
I've been an IT tech my whole career......and I agree with him.
Not to mention everything that happened with Edward Snowden
Considering how quickly UA-cam detects content ID but not sock accounts sending bad links says a lot lol
Dale being right about "The Beast" is even funnier years later. - Comment made while using "The Beast"
(4:07) Ngl, seeing Hank in that angle is a little cursed but the animation of Hank staggering briefly like that while drunk is really amazing.
5:55 bill motivation speech actually got me going to bar right now
Man was spitting facts
Peggy is something else man. Even her best moments are sus
You don’t like Peggy? I hear a lot of people say that in the comments.
C’mon. Give her a break
2:25 I'm amazed at how well the auto-generated captions got through Boomhauer's drawl.
That part was even funnier with the captions.
Love the range of these rants
How can it be 'The Best King of the Hill Rants Compilation' without the classic of Hank Hill vs the Low Flow Toilet??
My Disappointment is Immeasurable and my Day is Ruined.
I TELL U HWAT!
4:21 And Now I’m Going To Vomit
4:39 Admitting you are fat is great! Trying to convince everyone else it’s healthy is not.
Amen to that
4:21 "and now I'm going to vhomit."
Love how they're slowly and methodically talking their issues out in the middle of a tornado
Whatever it takes 😅
The whole second half of the episode was Hank going out of his way to go and find peggy and apologise to her. When he said that he couldn't bare to be without her because it was hell for him, actually hits harder when you realise Hank thought Peggy might have died and he couldn't live with himself with his last words being an argument with her.
@@JacobKinsley exactly. I think of the phrase "never go to bed angry" god forbid something happens... you always want your last words to a loved one to not be argumentative. It's hard getting closure after
The fact that Boomhauer's character is derived from a similar rant as the one in this video is a great nod of the head by Mike Judge.
Bobby is such a smart and sweet kid 😊
Whenever i heard Dale go on a rant to that DMV service rep it always makes me think-"And that my friends, is how you penetrate the system of a bureaucracy."
THEY'RE PENETRATING THE BUREAUCRACY!!!
yeah but its not that guy's fault its screwed up like that
@@Azmina_the_warlock True, but as an employee of a bureaucratic operation such a the DMV his job requires that he doesn't let people take short cuts in bureaucratic processing. but with the speech Dale gave this guy was probably risking losing his job either way.
Bills speach to boomhauer was the best
Bill speech was great cause he knows what it’s like to be heartbroken.
Favorite speeches:
-Peggy's speech to Luanne's mother. Peggy can be completely oblivious a lot of the time, but she has a genuinely kind heart, a very strong maternal instinct, and really does love her family and friends. She's very introspective and observant (which I know contradicts the "oblivious" statement I said earlier"), which is a surprise for how narcissistic she is sometimes.
-Bobby's speech to Peggy. Really goes to show how Bobby is an amazing product of his parents' upbringing. Hank and Peggy raised him to be a confident, good natured kid (who messes up sometimes but we all do).
-Bill's speech to Boomhauer. Holy shit, the MUSIC in this scene. I wish we could buy the soundtrack or something. But the main point is someone like Bill, who has so many of his own problems and miseries that he's very rarely able to help someone else, getting to support Boomhauer through his own life's experiences. And it's an opportunity for himself to look at his own life and acknowledge that he himself will never give up, so he'll absolutely make sure his friends don't give up on themselves either.
This show got so much funnier when i got older
Bobby gives zero fucks bout his looks, in the right way. And bill? The man gets down as a lot of us do, but he also gets right back up, slaps himself in the face and says "it's a new day for me so the fuck life is gonna do about it?"
Peggy's last words to Cotton is one of the best moments of the show.
5:11. I actually understood that.
I think Cotton is so cute with his black eyes 😂 barely opening 🤣 this clip should of been longer
3:30 I found the context of this rant and all I can say is this: Cotton is a bastard.
Boomhauer’s profound meaning of life. Me: Umm yea… Hank: That’s what we tell ourselves, isn’t Boomhauer. 😂
This is the best of this show I've ever seen
Good stuff 😂
3:55 the sad thing is that hank's dad got the last laugh at her all that meant quat
She knew he would, it was her plan
Yeah, I personally think that was a little too mean, even for Cotton. I mean, he knew he was gonna die, but he was still too stubborn and macho to allow Hank to tell him he loved him.
3:14. Dale was ahead of his time
Boomhauer saying "head cut off" clearly.
That’s why the cop put his hand on his piece.
This show went off the air and yet The Simpsons (which for the first 10 years was gold) creaks on for OVER 30 YEARS. There is no justice, tell you what.
We were supposed to be getting a KotH revival, but the geniuses at Fox killed it
@@SSgtChitEPanz I heard there was supposed to be a revival. FOX killed it? WTF. KotH is an iconic show not only of FOX but the American zeitgeist of the last 30 years.
@@seththomas9105 Hulu just announced they're picking it up! It's coming back!
@@SSgtChitEPanz But Hulu picked it up !!!!
@@amandamorse825 we were due for some good news! 🥳
I'm surprised how the subtitles can make up what Boomhauer is saying.
That was awesome when Hank was drunk! 4:02
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen
I've always absolutely HATED the way they killed off Cotton. It's not the fact that they killed him it's how they do it. Anyone who really understands his character knows he actually does love Hank in his own way but that it's nearly impossible for him to say this. There are many episodes that showcase that he actually cares about Hank and the closest he gets to telling him is the episode with Jimmy Carter where Hank and Cotton say they love shooting a nail gun. Cotton in the best way he can is admitting he actually does love Hank. Like the writers idk wtf they were thinking having Cotton go out like this man. He did bond with Peggy at one point and helped her freaking walk again! He literally is the reason she was able to walk again , he did love Hank and came as close to admitting it as he could and he also adored Bobby! Cotton may have been a bigoted , misogynistic bastard but he had a softer side and he deserved better than this shit.
It’s really not that serious.
@@rightthroughthecounterstri3961 He deserved a better send off. Remember when he worked that job he hated and took stuff from a pencil kneck pisaant he usually would've murdererd in order to provide for Didi and GH?
Exactly. It's basically the new writers messing up everything just to end the series as fast as possible.
@@geardog24 Yes literally exactly! Thank you! It goes against the ultimate point of Cotton's character which is that despite being one of the biggest douchebags on the show he has his good points and loved Hank but he just couldn't say it directly.
The fact is he didn't and couldn't admit he loved his son to his face, hence the frustation in peggy. Cotton gets the last laugh regardless additionally.
AndNowImGoingToVomit
4:31 well dang Bobby out here really speaking
My favorite rant is when Hank called Dale out on his bs.
He was on (testosterone pills?) And started acting like a teenager. But DAMN when Dale said he was a clone Hank went ham on him.
Dale actually paid his taxes? $36, he must have gotten ripped off
I loved king of the hill watched it a lot here in Australia I loved Hanks old man cotton and when Hank said who'd wanna pick a stamp with bill Clinton on it lol there was some great one liners on that show!
That guy just slowly backing away from Boomhauer though
I'm Hank Hill and I sell propane and propane accessories
I don't understand people who think cotton is a good person. It's like they've only watched "king of the hill cotton best moments".
