In this thrilling (though pretty much weaving-free) video, we focus on five and six-end satin to examine unit structures; satin counters; the nature of clean cuts; and the implications of all these things for damask tie-ups on the drawloom. The awesome utility of damask pulleys for weaving on opposites is discussed with great enthusiasm.

Thank you so much for this video! I struggle with countermarche mechanics, and I'm thinking I might want to switch to Damask pulleys -- the tie up process looks so much simpler!

You can do so much with pulleys of all kinds - both on single and double harness looms. They are much simpler than the countermarch, that's for sure. Have you seen the latest issue of Väv magazine? There's a big article on everything you can do with pulleys - it's a lot!
