Some Good Ways to Repair a Broken Warp End When Weaving on a Shaft Loom

- Weavers break warp ends all the time. It is a completely normal occurrence and no cause for panic. In this video I discuss and demonstrate my favorite methods for running a repair thread back to the original (if defunct) warp end; attaching a warp end to the web at the front of the loom; and darning repairs afterwards. The weavers' knot and travelling bow are considered as are the pin and the overlap twist.

This video is exactly what I needed today - I have so many broken warp yarns in my current project.
Thank you! The best knot I was looking for. You saved my warp.

Wonderful!
I've never once in my life had a broken warp thread, especially not a million times when weaving singles linen, but this was a great video! 🌟
Oh, you kidder ;-)
C'est très intéressant et tout tisserand devrait regarder vos vidéos. De plus j'adore tous vos motifs, et j'aimerais en faire autant. Où peut-on trouver leurs explications ? Merci de votre partage si inspirant.
Thank you very much - I am glad you are enjoying my channel. My designs are almost all original and I do have a video planned that talks a little about this. Are you a drawloom weaver? I have a beginning recipe that I could send you if you would like. Please write to me if you are interested amy@duellingrabbits.com
