    Hello Francesca from Ontario, Canada - This is my 4th of your postcasts and as you stated, what I do while I listen/watch is knit with my cat at my side & a beverage (water/a protein shake/or tea generally). I like your taste in patterns & I look forward to exploring more knit patterns for sweaters, tanks, etc.

    I found your channel today and I find you absolutely charming. Your English is nearly perfect. The cutest thing is, that every time you thought that you misspronounced a word, it was actually said just right. :-D :-D I congratulate you on your wording and charming presentation of your beautiful works.
    I love to buy Drops yarn as well. They have a very affordable stock and after researching online, they are also selling yarns that are produced without mulesing of the sheep and almost all of their yarns have an Eco-Tex standard.
    Blessings from Germany.

    Ciao Francesca, your Whitmore sweater is beautiful. I've had that in my queue for awhile. I'm just not crazy about how closed the neck collar is. I don't know why us Podcasters always have to point out our errors. I don't think I would have noticed it, if you hadn't pointed it out. You are still "super" young! I Absolutely love Love LOVE your podcast.
    Your presentation is so relaxed, like getting advice from a friend over coffee..
    I don’t if it’s because, lm all things Italian right now because l want to visit Italy Spring next year for my birthday… but you make me hungry for more..
    The items you choose to knit, even though you work from patterns, l love the way, you almost always personalise them in some way… lm still reluctant to try to do that in my own projects…
    I’d love it you would recommend places to visit for my birthday tour… l’d love to visit Italian yarn fests & stores…places that are not so crazy touristy… l know that’s bad grammar - but you get what l mean… thanx for reading my drivel, your fault… seriously, you are the ‘bomb’

      Hello! I hope you will enjoy Italy when you come visit 🇮🇹 Were you hoping to visit big cities? Milan and Florence have quite a big list of yarn stores, but you can probably find them in smaller cities/towns as well.
      I honestly don’t see myself like someone who really personalises/customises her knits as much, I only tweak a couple of things here and there (bind-offs, etc.). You’ll start to do that too in no time, you’ll see! It’ll come naturally.
      Good luck with everything! Thank you for stopping by ❤️👋

    I have a suggestion for your Whitmore sweater. If you're feeling adventurous you could embroider a simple flower with a low contrast yarn in the column that is missing the pattern detail / yarn overs. It'll look like you meant to have that area decorated.

    • @AnItalianKnitter
      @AnItalianKnitter  2 роки тому

      Ooh that sounds interesting. I’ve never embroidered, not sure if I love the look of lace mixed with embroidery though. I’ll have to think about that. I guess one of the good things about embroidery is that I could try and then undo it if I don’t like it! 💡

      @@AnItalianKnitter Embroidery is pretty simple, like knitting, 1 stitch at a time and if you don't like it it can be taken out without any evidence that it has ever been. I also just finished a quick little ripple bralette. I made it longer than the pattern suggested but if I make another I will add even another 2”. And definitely make the straps shorter that called for. I just recorded a podcast/vlog about knitting it on my channel. Maybe check it out sometime and let me know what you think. Happy knitting!

    Ciao Francesca cara, I always enjoy your podcasts! You have such a fresh, sunny presence, and as I always say, you are a natural in front of the camera, and fun. Right now I am watching you under a blanket knitting and drinking tons of hot beverages which I keep filling up because I am a bit sick, and what better than knitting and knitting videos for self care! Lovely makes! It is nice to have a "comfort knit" to go to, where there is no thinking, adapting involved...I am still not there because so far I am mostly knitting for gifts and the yarn/gauge is always different than the pattern calls for, the sizes are always different, so for me the most tiring part is all the modifications for the best possible fit. Great job on your lace! Brava! 👏🏻 Love how the bralette is coming out, love the chunky neckline of the eucalyptus sweater, I need to try that tubular cast on, you really inspired me. I love all the colours of all the yarns, even the names..."Eucalyptus", "red clay", "rust", not sure if you mentioned what that beautiful safran/mustard colour is, I may have missed it...those are some of my colours too! As you know I am also planning to knit the Cumulus in the blouse version, I bought some yarn for it in an autumn version but who knows if I get to it before..I love the camisole n.4! I am not sure how I could wear it, maybe modifying the straps and under a cardi but love the stitch, just wondering if it would suit a busty version, will check it out on ravelry... As for summer yarns...I am knitting on cotton for two anker tees for two different gifts in two different sizes and colours, it's not as soft as some wools, but it's ok, but I do not have much of a reference because it's been a while since i knit in cotton...I also bought some hemp, which I am curious to knit with, it is beautiful shiny but hard, I need to find the right project, still looking, have my eye on a few...but that will be further on I think...al solito un romanzo 😂 take care we'll keep in touch 🧶🧶🧶

If you don’t find inspiration on Ravelry, you might also search on Instagram, as a find a lot of people upload great pictures of their knits there too. I find so much inspiration there!
