- We are on a Route 66 roadtrip through Arizona in our Ford Transit Connect micro camper van! We started the day visiting the Petrified National Forest to visit the old alignment of Route 66 that is part of the park as well as the Painted Desert Inn Museum where Route 66 travelers would have stayed. We then drove past the famous Wigwam hotel on the way to the Meteor Crater Natural Landmark where we saw the best preserved meteor crater crash site in the world! From there we back tracked to Winslow, Arizona to see the Standing on a Corner Park before traveling to Flagstaff for the night for a much needed shower. Next up, the Grand Canyon!

And you're back! I love how perfectly you match the song to what you're doing, that is a true gift. Still following along and enjoying every minute.
Great music on this video. The whole video is fun to watch and the meteor crater was enormous.
Thank you 😊
Ive been waiting for this!! My Wife and I are doing the OKC to Barstow leg in Oct! We're 66 days away today!
That is awesome! How perfect, 66 days away from driving Rt. 66-that is too cool! Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it! Sorry it took so long to get the video out haha You will have to keep us updated on your trip, we would love to hear all about it!
@@mikeandheather Ill email you once we're done! This will be our 2nd time driving the route and it's our 5 yr anniversary!
@@stopngosteve04 Sounds like a plan! We will be looking for your email :) Happy (early) anniversary! We hope you have a great time!
Great coverage of the Petrified Forest. I love your historical reviews of Route 66.
You two are the best and we love this series so much!!!
You are too kind! We really appreciate you watching, it means a lot to us!
Glad to see you back, what a great trip this is. I'm really enjoying it a lot.
Visiting the meteor crater, then visiting the Grand Canyon is the proper order of doing it. When you lay your eyes upon the crater, you cannot help but to think how massive it is. But all of that is shattered when you see the Grand Canyon!
You are right! They are both incredibly impressive though, we are very fortunate to have been able to see both. Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
Glad to see you back with a new video. I was concerned that you might have made a side trip to Roswell, NM and been abducted by aliens.
No! But Heather thinks it would be really cool to go to Roswell and do the extraterrestrial highway in Nevada so there may be a strong possibility of that happening in the future though haha
Finally! haha glad to see ya'll posting videos again
Sorry it took so long! We are glad to be posting again too ☺️Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
Great video, somewhere else to add to the places to visit bucket list - thanks for sharing.

@@mikeandheather Thank you very mutch... have a nice day.... see you….
Thanks for the video. I am planning a route 66 trip next year starting in California to Illinois. I like your music what site do you use?
Did you drive down the part of route 66 that has grooves in the road that if you slow down to 45 mph it plays America the beautiful?
YES WE DID! It was so cool! In the video before this one you can actually see when we did. We drove it at night so it was a bit of a challenge but we found it and got it to work!
