- Santa Monica Code Enforcement Officers from the Vendors Task force issue a citation to a vendors at a Santa Monica Beach parking lot on Friday, June 3, 2022.
Vending is not allowed on or within public parking lots unless otherwise expressly authorized by or with the consent of the City. (SMMCS 6.36.040(a)). A person who vends from a public parking lot is not a sidewalk vendor. (SIMMC S 6.36.020). Per SMMC Section 6.36.111, any person, other than a sidewalk vendor, who violates SMMC Section 6.36.040(a) is subject to an administrative infraction or misdemeanor citation.
The multi-department Unpermitted Vendors Task force consists of Santa Monica Police Officers, Santa Monica Code Enforcement Officers, Santa Monica Fire Department personnel, Santa Monica Harbor Patrol Officers, Public Works, and private security guards.
The newly formed task force has been instrumental in helping to educate and enforce the City’s safety laws and ensuring safe sidewalk vending practices across the City.

The permits is not expensive the reason is at Santa Monica pier they sale same Merchandise but they pay rent ,this people didntte pay rent not report to irs what they sale Daaaa

@@bobsmithinson2050 Stalker. I've had my first store at the age of 18, now I have multiple and a Restaurant, city permits, county health permits, State permits from the Board of Equalization or as its now know Tax and Fee Administration
