Love this technique. It preserves the wood too!
All rose anvil stuff is like this. Creative well done and should be on everyone’s buy list🤺🤗
Love the burnt wood planters. Good creative ideas!
Looks amazing guys! Nice work.
enjoyed the banter, loved the projects. keep it up
These turned out great! 🙌🏼
This is a cool afternoon project. Looks like a spiffy way to whip up some quick Christmas presents.
That looks so cool well done on the finish job
Hermoso trabajo felicidades.
Excellent..like these very much
Beautiful. Bravo
Gostei.
Parabéns !!
Really great project!
Wow its amazing
Subscribed 👍😍
Your voice is so soothing westie boy
Love the cat! Great project also. I especially like using cedar wood for flame finish. You could also have some fun with an angle grinder. Harbor Freight had one recently for $10.
Crazy good
🔥 Cool!
That was epic
damnnnnn so simple yet so beautiful
ingenious... the texture/pattern is unbelievable
There cool !
I have found that a forstner bit works best when creating a pocket for candles or small potted plants.
Rose Anvil around $22 at Home Depot for a 2” forstner bit
Good job guys! A band saw is definitely the right tool for the the geometric cuts, but I don't have one, either.
cool
You make it seem so simple.🐑🐷🐰🐼🐧
Did you put Bees Wax inside the holes.
Thinking about making a few for a craft fair what would you ask for one I am thinking $10.00 a hole.
How much should I sell them for
Can you use the same technique with bamboo?
😍 😍 😍
White size hole do I make them? How many inches?
How much do you want for one
Yeeeeee boi
For some reason window well sounds right.
😍🔥🙌🏼
😍😍😍
❤️
😍🙌
What would you sell each for
how much would you pay for it?
🌵
great idea , isn't it much better if using forstner bit instead hole saw ?? ... 🤔
instead of forstner bit you can also use a spade drill bit... same effect as a forstner - other than the deeper part in the middle - and much cheaper...
👍
💪🏻🤙🏻🤯
Nice video, thanks for the idea. Not to mention I now know we're both in the "I cut my hair" club.
😍
You can get a wood shaping disc that will fit a small, 4" or 4 1/2" grinder and you can do some good shaping with it. All in all, I liked the project, I would not have thought about doing that with just a piece of lumber, great idea. Oh, the man bun, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, not such a good idea !

🤘🏼
Truly lovely, thanks for the idea. Couple of pointers:
1. He put his hair up, she needs to do the same. You are working with flames!
2. Circular saw to cut away wood? No, too risky and wrong tool - cannot get much depth of cut. A table saw would have been better.
3. Using a wire cup brush or knotted wire brush on an angle grinder (or bench grinder for this project) will give you the scooped out wood in case you want this effect without propane.
4. Using a nylon cup brush on angle grinder (keep below 5000 rpm) or on a drill will 'sand' out the burnt wood while keeping the textured grooves. This is a lot faster than manual brushing.
5. Melt the beeswax. Add Boiled Linseed Oil (from Home Depot) to it. Apply with a brush. Faster and lubricates wood better.
6. Invest in the Bernzamatic TS8000 torch trigger ($40 on Amazon or HD). This is an auto ignite system with fine burn control. Get the narrow Bernzomatic) propane bottles (HD) for same price as propane tank per lb ($3.49 in my area) - easier to hold than Coleman, and less pricey.
7. Your drill is being held sideways. Hold it straight. A straight hole drains water faster and this rots the wood less quickly. Use a much bigger drill bit else your succulents will be too wet inside.
8. I would also burn the inside a bit, then coat with a polyurethane, including the large bottom holes. This will make it water resistant and rot resistant. Untreated wood brings fungus to plant roots.
Thanks again, very lovely work!
A couple pointers? Let the man do his thing. If you wanna tell people exactly how to do things, make your own video or get a job as a manager so your obsessive, meddlesome nature can be put to use as an example of the worst way manage people.

I had to use a wood chisel to get the wood out of the holes.

You know what goes well with long hair? Cutting the dunlop volley in half... or the timberland earth keepers.
I cant believe you used a circular saw for that. Yikes
Not just a circular saw but a circular saw without a blade guard! Cap'n Danger right there!
Yes, I am well versed in using a circular saw. 30 years experience and still have all my fingers.
Get a band saw!!
Toight! 👾🌵🍆

Pick me! Pick me! Oh Please :) My fiance proposed to me on Christmas day and we don't have a ring for him yet! my insta account is: shelbi62lee (Shelbi Boehme)
That saw is older than dirt dude 😂😂😂
I USA a grinder with a cutting abrasive blade on it , wood saw is to dangerous then I burned it twice with a Blow Tourch
Did and excellent job with much more control and safety with the cutting. Glasses and tucked in clothing also apply.
You can use woodprix instructions to build it in the cheapest way.
Im impressed with the girl who gets her hands dirty

This is the most weirdest thing I've ever seen. My wife doesn't like it at all. We watched it together and it started a huge fight.
