It was really nice. I've taken a liking to Seong Mi-Na more than her fighting style, but I still think this is an awesome resource as I do intend to run her (or her style) at some point. These days I'm learning Raphael's style. I find his flavor text and fighting style a blast to play.
Man I know you're on to Mortal Kombat mostly now but as one of my favorite fighting game UA-camrs i want to personally invite you back to SC6 now that with the addition of Hwang the roster is complete. I would love one of your awesome beginners guides for Hwang.
Now I know how to use Mi-na a bit. Very impressive guide and I was able to follow what you were talking about especially with the fact that it definitely looks like Soul charge this time gives characters a bit more variety in their moves. I could be wrong about that because my friends were complaining about how most of Killik's good moves are locked within his soul charge although again it might be because of misinformation but regardless underboob princess is looking as fun to use as always.
I wasn’t expecting to pick up and enjoy Seong as much as I would, but my goodness, she’s an absolute blast to play! As an Astaroth main, she actually reminds me a lot of him, sans the grabs and with faster moves-great range, simpler combos, nice mix-up options, but a little panicky in close combat. Anyway, loved the vid! It helped me learn a bit more about her, especially 22_66 K into 66B+K-no idea that worked! Definitely subscribing for more! Cheers!
How about a guide for my girl Talim. I've been practicing her and she has some interesting abilities that I'd like your take on. I love her as a character but she lacks range aside from a few abilities and she has a ton of mix-ups if done correctly. Overall she's really fun to play. I may try Seong Mi Na considering how interesting you've made her look thx.
pretty good beginner's guide. An addition to some defensive options for her as long as your opponent is being rather predictable Seong has some of the best jumping attacks in this game in my opinion for all types: jumping A, B, and K. She has 2 other moves that are part of her 8-way run section in the game that although can be difficult to time for new players are really good options both her 44K and her 44A are very good. The 44K low crushes and lethal hits if they miss the low and the 44A lethal hits as long as you are mid-range or further away when it hits. These options are great for stopping opponents and punishing people who assume Seong has no options once you get in
The 4B hack hop attack can also be done in the BB string. Do the first B, then 4B (she hops back) then you follow with the finisher you want. B on hit and A on guard I would suggest
Very nice guide, I really didn't realize 66B+K is such an interesting combo extender! not sure if you know or it was said somewhere, but A+B can lead to a very easy ~100dmg combo. So if you somehow hit A+B (like condition them to block 2A+B first, or just get a hard read) just do B+K and then 44A+B. (mid-combo B+K stuns for so long, so that you have enough time for even 44A+B) Though it sometimes doesn't work if you were too close with the starting A+B, the B+K doesn't connect properly or misses altogether.
Last time I played SC was when SCIV was out. I still do not have this game though, but I loved almost every character in SCIV and the same is happening with SCVI, I don't know who to main lol I'd personally like to see some Taki guide, maybe Groh. And thank you for these wonderful guides!
Just to point this out: One of her strongest combos from both FC 3B and 3B is something like this: 3B > 3B~K (Just) > 66[B+K] > 8A+B. About 60 damage. The just frame of 3B~K is important as the opponent will then slide into the ground instead of just float to avoid the next attack.
Since you asked for character requests for guides: Mitsurugi, Cervantes, or Azwel. Been playing mostly Mitsu (well, a custom character with his style, anyway) since the game came out, Cervantes is an old favorite I intend to pick back up, and Azwel's new style just looks awesome.
love ur videos i like playing seong mi na as well and in the ranking and tournament play i wasent seeing much of her glad to see someone playing her. if your looking for other characters to do guides on i wound't mind seeing Xianghua. she seems complicated and needs to be very deliberate so there would be lots to cover. also i would personally have mentioned near the beggining her 3 fast moves (B6, 3BK(fast) and 4A) since they are so fast and are so much better than getting punished by counter attacks by taki, pyraa, etc.
6B is also a good counter if your opponent is throwing a high horizontal attack, which I discovered by accident while fighting the computer, because Mina is still ducking as she lunges. Mitsurugi has been my go to character for a long time, but I might defect to Seong Mina after learning some of these strats.
Could you do a guide on Tira? I know you did a video on her and watching it it looked like so much fun playing as her!!! I would love to learn more about her and her move set
With 3b:K there is a difference between fastest input, just frame, and slide inputs. It is NOT a just frame at all. It is only a slide input with the potential of having fastest input for more damage.
I started out hooking up with Ivy. I guess you could call it a long-distance relationship. When things got up close though, I could never figure out what to do with her. Next I went to Taki's place. The action was fast and furious, but she was the materialistic type. It was all about possessions. 2B came onto the scene next. But she was kinda always tallying up points. Alas! It was not 2B! Then I found Amy, who was all about the damn flowers. Like, no flowers? Uh-uh... No fun stuff. Not going to happen. Just no. Ok... Moved on to the Alexandra sisters next. They were great Wonder Woman cos-players but not what I was looking for.. And Cass just bounced too damn much, it was distracting. And then Tira - I never quite knew who I was dealing with. It was a disaster. Like, just... who are you now you crazy woman... what am I even...? It's not Yous, it's me. Bye. And then Mina? Mina was supposed to be a fling. She tended to keep people at arm's length. More like Spear length really. But she was a simple girl at heart. No flowers, no points. No bullshit. All she wanted to do was 1B all day long, or catch a movie with 6A now and then. Simple. Funny thing is, I get her. I totally get her. It all makes sense! She's still a bit sore that I went to Ivy first, but she swears that she's "not jealous. Not one bit."
I never played her before 6, but somehow she's my best character. She obliterates and frustrates scrubs that don't want to try to think and get in on her. I got kicked out of a room after just two wins in a row yesterday.
Honestly i would like a tutorial for all the characters! I've spent most my time in create a soul that whenever i play online im button mashing for life lol. ive made over 70 characters but now im ready to learn the game and get in the action lol.
you miss out on a lot of damage here mate :) WR b - 3b~k (JF) - 66 B+K - 8 A+B or crouch 1 k,k. You also get this from her jumping b ( 7,8,9 b). The JF is quite doableonce you mentally prepare for it whenever you go for WR b or jumping b ;-)
1B 1B (one more 1B I think) while soul charged is a natural combo. Blocking the soul charge animation gives Mi-Na a guaranteed 1B poke. 1B itself on knockdown also lets you do a setup with ez options where you do the overhead guarbreak attack which if you block you're pretty much getting nowhere, another 1B which will reset this setup if they getup and miss the block, or that mid attack where she like breakdances on the floor with her halberd if you get hit by it it comboes into 66B 1B which also resets the whole scenario. Basically Seong Mi Na can kinda just keep this setup going as long as you block it or get hit by it. God forbid if your back is to a ringout and she just uses the mid options Fuck all her other moves, this setup is going to be like 90% of high level seong mi na players.
The combo at 5:58 is not a true combo, it can be rolled right/left. it will hit if they stay down or roll back tho. remember to check your combos with ukemi back/right/left.
I tried applying these tips and combos online. The pokes and stuff worked, but every time I went for one of these combos, I was never able to finish because they could get up and block the last half. Any advice?
Hm... I wonder if any info here is outdated now? Or should be added? I mean, there has been quite a number of patches since this video was released. But yeah, it's kind of amusing how I suddenly want to learn her moveset. All because I made a CaS I'm REALLY happy with. And kind of want to do her justice by being.... At least decent with the moveset.
I'm trying to learn how to play her and I'm struggling to do the combo at 6:00. I get the first kick right, enemy goes to the ground, I'm able to do the 66BK but as she gets up, she doesn't hit a 3rd time that's supposed to launch him, so the 8AB feels a bit weird afterwards. Am I doing something wrong or does it not work with every opponent?

I think it’s hilarious how life works. Since I was a kid and was playing Soul Calibur, I was a Seong MiNa main and now I’m actually doing Naginata
I just picked up SC6 and this guide is awesome..I was a bit overwhelmed with learning everything but this really simplifies everything. Thanks
Now I know how to use Mi-na a bit. You’re ability to explain complex things in such a concise manner is a thing of beauty ❤️ keep up the great work 😄✌️
I'd love a maxi guide, I feel he's really interesting and in-depth

Well done, sir. I was pleased by the 22K combo, but the Soul Charge discussion clenched it for me. I look forward to any other videos you do.

A Taki guide would be amazing
Mained her back in SCII and SCIII then didn't play any games until SCVI, thank you for rekindling that flame!
I didn't think I'd be a Seong Mi-na main but she's super fun to play! Thanks for making this video, I'm leveling up a lot thanks to your tips!
Love how he has Ezio's theme from soulcalibur 5 playing in the background
going to be coming back to this for reference over the next week.
I went from groh to sophitia to seigfried now I'm obsessed with seong she's incredibly fun and satisfying

A guide for Groh, Geralt, or Siegfried would be fantastic
thanks dude, a guide on ivy will be verry appreciated :)
Exellent work, *TrueUnderdogGaming* ;))) Love it!!!
Very Simple and clear guide but you miss her 44A easiest to pull lethal hit
The way you deliver this is awesome. Can you make a zaslamel guide?

I watch these even if i dont play the character just to try to learn to fight them
can we get a sophitia guide pls?
Keep Raphael in mind too please there are literally no guides for him out there
66a
there you go
Reason why her attack better at range is because the weapon has a blade at its end
Talim guide or just competitive gameplay with her would be cool too.
"She dominates from a distance."
You would think so. But ask Nightmare or Siegfried.
The struggle
Do Raphael next
I am for Siegfried or Talim next
i pwned my brother with her way back in sc3
She stilll looks awesome
Ivy next!!
He did one 3 days ago...
@@thesaltmerchant4564 nope, it was a combo guide
I'm loving Azwel so far, think you could do a video on him?
HELLO MY NEW MAIN!!! 💪😂
Hit at long range A+B, B+K, 66B+k(charged), 8A+B gets you 98 damage its practical to for punishing

1:00 Seong Mina scrubs in a nutshell
for some dumb reason I thought the advantage you were going to list for her was her underboob game
Can I get a guide for the OG Cervantes hes always been so cool to me and now I need to no if there's any secrets to him I don't know
even though he's super easy I'd like to see a Groh guide

Best character
Hello and thank you for this video. Can you do a guide for Talim, please?
Could you do an Azwel guide? If not for my sake, do it for THE HUMAN RACE
Do you stream?
If your enemy is just blocking don't throw out an AAA or BBB because those can be GI:d and you get punished.
Also both strings third B can be stepped from blocked state. Which is much worse.
I tried applying these tips and combos online. The pokes and stuff worked, but every time I went for one of these combos, I was never able to finish because they could get up and block the last half. Any advice?
I still find it quite difficult to get opponents off me once they get close. They won't stop mashing buttons. =(
Please make Seigfried and Kilik guides :)
Could we get an Azwel guide? FOR THE HUMAN RACE!
Do one for sophitia
Isn't Ivy better at keep away? I want to main the best "zoner".

I can't find that b+k launcher anywhere on her movelist. She only does one part of the move but doesn't do the launcher. I'm I missing something here?
Could you please cover Kilik at some point? Thank you!

Do cervantes next please
Can we see a Tira guide?
Need Siegfried guide

Xianghua next plz
We want a Talim guide
How do you hold down these attacks?
Sounds like the bgm is from assassins creed
or was it brink
Mina has low damage comboes? WROONG! After any launcher you can get 3bK into 66bk and an ender giving great damage in most stiuations
Geralt next please
I didn't know ancient Hanboks were bikini style

Ugh I can't do the jagged comet combo it's irritating what am I doing wrong?
