They did a lot of screen tests for the make up effects and some of them were really impressive. But the Wayans decided to go with a less convincing (and way scarier) make up because they thought it looked funnier that way.
Haha I'm sure it was.
Also let's not forget how time consuming the prep is so they kept it reasonable.
I love that "Yo Mama" joke showdown. My favorite one is "Your mother's so old, her breast milk is powdered. You breastfeed like this.... -blows powder out of hand-"

Historical Fact: The joke about the breast milk into powder came straight from a joke comedian Mo'Nique said on BET Snaps back in the '90s.
Music Enthusiast Fact: When Lattrell Spencer (Terry Crews) picks up the Tiffany Wilson decoy (Marlon Wayans), Lattrell says he loves the song A Thousand Miles (2002) by Vanessa Carlton. Crews also loves that song in real life enough to know the rhythm and lyrics by heart to film his sing-a-long performance in only one take.
Cutting Room Floor Fact: The film was shot and intended to be a raunchy and vulgar R-rated comedy. However, Sony wanted the film to have mass appeal and a wider audience so the film was edited into a PG-13 film for the theatrical release. The Unrated Cut released on home video restores all the cut footage alongside Dumb And Dumber (1994), The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000), and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) which are also PG-13 comedies that have made the change away from an R-rating as well.

Love this movie! I watched it on cable, the first time. Then, bought the DVD. When they're in the dressing room and she says, you're wearing the wrong underwear and pulls on them! I laughed so hard!

The supprting cast - Frankie Faison, the actor playing the chief, also played the landlord/super in Coming to America and over 100 supporting roles in many films. He is an underrated "straight man" comic actor. Jennifer Carpenter just before landing her role in Dexter. And Terry Crews, don't need to say anything more -

People who say 'they wouldn't make this today' are so insanely out of touch with what is actually being made today. Stuff that goes WAY WAY WAY beyond 'the line' than a movie like this. It's just that none of it is popular because it's so obviously stupid. People have never and will never stop pushing 'the line' in content creation and they certainly haven't stopped now.
We will have to disagree. Even Jerry Seinfeld was talking recently about how political correctness has killed comedy.

An absolute gem of a movie, the comedy is right on the money and it still has some heart to it. Unlike the blatantly racist propaganda films that used Black face because no Black actors were allowed, this had plenty of white actors because this wasnt a racist film. But a lot of the racist in the comment section surely are revealing themselves and it's disappointing to see you guys liking their comments especially when u cut out the scene of the white chicks in this movie SAYING THE N WORD......
