My new flute teacher gave me hundreds of "homework" to practice for the summer that I was not able to finish ´^_^ She wanted to make sure that I would have "some" things to do while she was busy travelling Europe for her professional performances. So, we were both very busy, in different ways... :)

Question about recording flute sound on an audiofile to send to a music teacher:
1) what type of microphone should be best used?
2) where to place it? behind us? in front of us? above us? under us? mid-high? (I tried with my phone, but the sounds of the keys are really strong, whereas with another software, the clicks of the flute keys are inaudible, and the sounds of the flute come out a little better but somehow "muted" too. )
3) Maybe, what type of software could help catching flute sound better?
And if I have to play with a pianist, and record the whole thing to send to my teacher for assessement, same 3 questions. :)

Any free/cheap tools/tips for learning sight reading?
Besides just throwing yourself at a wall repeatadly untill something sticks.
Get simple music. You should be reading a grade or two below where you're at.
Try Indian Basoori flute once please ma'am❤️
