What about saying two for tonging your notes?! That is what I do in class and my teacher says that too.😅

You always use tu for single tongue. The point of this exercise is to practice the ku sound alone, and once you get comfortable with ku you combine it with tu to do double or triple tonguing.

Does this apply to saxophone too? I’m getting a flute for my birthday and so this will help with that too, but this looks like it would be good for sax too
Edit: I tried it with sax AND flute and it seems to work pretty well with both :)

Double tongue is harder on reed instruments and is a less common technique. But if it works well for you, keep going with it. Just make sure not to develop an over reliance on double tonguing as single tonguing fast is still an important skill

Im a flute player (im not a professional like her but I am experienced) so I’ve been playing for about a year now and I would say don’t rush on anything

Take things slowly and try to memorize your notes

I would say to start playing Bb flat to warm up for 4 counts and then try playing easy songs like Mary had a litttle lamb or hot cross buns and yes I know it’s boring in the beginning but it’s really fun after

I have no idea if your a quick learner but it mostly depends on how fast you learn so I would say go easy then try to play easy scales like Bb flat scale and then start to slowly memorize your fingering chart as you go up the notes

But first start with trying to make a sound on your head joint. Your embouchure should not be tight but slightly relaxed so almost like your doing a powdy face
