Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.
I am watching this drum solo probably for close to the thousandth time. But everytime I hear, or realize, something new about Adam. It occurred, suddenly, watching your reaction to the drumming part here, that he is adding parts of the drum kit, all the while KEEPING EACH PIECE in place....simultaneously! 🤯 I didn't think he could surprise me with this anymore. I was wrong. Your reaction (half way through the video now) is priceless and Soo satisfying. Yes! My guy, once again, validated for being a "freak of nature." As he is affectionately known by his fellow band members. Lol
When you try to compare the Home Free guys voices to a flavor, many people will say that Rob and Austin are like honey or molasses, sweet and smooth. Chance and Tim are compared to chocolate or whiskey with those deep, rich tones. For Adam, I would say his voice is juicy. You just don't know what flavor he is going to give you in each song.
Adam Rupp is incredible. The best for me. I think a very good explanation for this: Adam Rupp is inhuman. 😉 He is a drum alien in Angelguise. You just have to because he is so unbelievably good(and handsome too😊😍)!! Like he swallowed a drum kit. And then vocally he can also make so many more (instrument) sounds which is not normal Then those moves he makes is so amazing. And if you think it can't get any better, it's gotten even better over the years. Or at least more and more vocal sounds are added.🥰 Love Home Free, Love Adam Rupp. He is the glue of Home Free.❤️

This is from 8 years ago and he has definitely improved since then. If you are looking for a good laugh try doing their original song "Champaign on a Beer Budget" and then the sequel "Full of Cheer". Both were written by the bass, Tim Foust. They are hilarious!

He's so talented - they all are! Thanks for this reaction. If you like funny I'd suggest Working For Living, Hillbilly Bone, Butts Remix, Champagne Taste, All About That Base, (my brain just stopped working, but there are many more). There are so many great songs from which to choose - of many genres - I have a hard time making a single suggestion. But as you go down the rabbit hole, you'll find your way, and Home Fries will assist you. Have Fun!!

Adam is absolutely PHENOMENAL and Tim once said in a interview that he was the magic behind Home Free. Other beatboxers and musicians will tell you he has the most realistic instrumental sounds in the business.
Adam is able to use what is called circular breathing as he is beatboxing, so some of the sounds are made as he is inhaling as opposed to exhaling like most of us do. I've seen Home Free in concert, and they are just as impressive live as they are on video. Looking forward to seeing more reactions from you.

He is amazing. Also keep in mind that this was recorded by someone in the crowd. Probably sounds even better live. I do think that there is a lot going on with the specific microphone, the amount of compression, reverb, etc. etc. that makes it sound as close as it does. That isn't meant to be derogatory at all, what he does is amazing. Same thing with Tim's super low notes. He is indeed making those sounds but they are cleaned up a bit by the way the mic works and the setting. I kind of want to hear about their sound guy and all he does behind the scene... unsung hero of these things.

He did breath. If you listen carefully, in between some of his sounds, you can hear it. It is not the typical, heavy in and out, through the mouth or nostrils.
Adam is also a great singer, although he's a bit shy of singing with the guys (he does sing in a few videos). He's a tenor; somewhere between Rob and Austin's ranges. He also plays the most instruments of anyone in the group: bass guitar, drums, piano and trumpet--which he majored at in college.
You need to watch some of their live (audience taken) videos - they're often far better than the studio videos. There are a few different Adam Rupp 'drum solos' on y/t - he really is amazing. By the way, he also plays drums, trumpet and just about anything he puts his hand to.
This is an older version. He has done newer ones with different sounds 👌 🔥. He has a beautiful singing voice but would rather beat box (How Great Thou Art).
Adam is fantastic but you should watch Kevin the beatboxer from pentatonics he has down a few songs on his own, singing as well as beatboxing and playing cello
Beat boxers learn to do the sounds while breathing in also so it looks like they aren't breathing. The hard thing is to keep the sounds consistent when inhaling and exhaling!!!! Practice, practice, practice!
