  • Kuih Bahulu is another popular Chinese Lunar New Year treats. Traditionally, they were baked in a cast iron mold and the heat came from the charcoal. Since, I don't have any of the stuff, I baked them in the oven with a simple Kuih Bahulu mold. The result was pretty good!
    Ingredients
    6 Large Eggs
    160 g Sugar
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract, optional
200 g Pastry Flour or Cake Flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp Baking Powder, sifted
    A pinch of Sea salt
For full recipe, please check out my blog: www.seasaltwith... or at www.theflavours...

I really appreciate you sharing your recipes. Most of the food recipes bring back good old memories when mum used to make them. Stupid and ignorant me, regret very much that I didn't bother to learn when she cooked. Mum is no longer around now. At least watching your videos have helped me to cook those food that I ate while growing up. It also made me miss mum even more. Thank you for the lovely recipes.

rabbit98961 Thanks for your kind & thoughtful comments.I know exactly how you feel, and I don't think that's stupid. When we were young, we take things for granted, like cooking & etc. because we were busy with school, activities, work or friends...My kids are rarely at home when I'm cooking too. That's why I started my video channel. So, in the future they can refer to the video and learn how to cook their favorite dishes. Well, do try some of the recipes and hope to get some feedback from you soon. xx

Hi again. After about an hour, my cakes seemed to have turned chewy and hard, not so airy and soft anymore; despite putting them in an airtight container. Why went wrong? :( Thanks in advance for your help.
