      About 4 to 5 days. Suggest to keep in the fridge and reheat when going to consume if longer than 3 days. It will last longer.

    Hi Eddie, your recipe is very interesting. Can I don’t use so many eggs. Your advise on how many less eggs can I use. Because I have high cholesterol, cannot eat so many eggs. Thanks🙏

      Hi Gloria, I'm sorry but I can't advice whether to reduce the number of eggs for this recipe as I've not tried with less eggs. I'm not sure how it will turn out.

      Unfortunately, you can't for this recipe. You have to reheat it lightly to get back the crispiness before eating.

    Hi Eddie, I just bought this kueh bolu mold, any special clean up the mold before I bake the cake thank you

      No special clean up is required. You just need to preheat the mould in the oven before use. After that, brush the mould cavities with oil and heat it in the oven once again for 5 minutes before filling it with the batter.
      It may take a few times of baking before it is seasoned to be able to remove the kueh easily without sticking.

    I like this recipe but is there any self-raising flour substitute?
    Why whenever I use self- raising flour to bake cake or biscuits, it will give me a kind of taste that I can feel it on the tip of my tongue. The taste is like when we put too much of baking powder or soda in our baking ... How to overcome this?

      Since you're sensitive to baking powder, use plain flour and add just a tsp of baking powder for the recipe. It may not rise as well but probably you won't get that after taste.

    How else can I season the tray to prevent the cake from sticking to the it? Do you have a way of cleaning the trays to season them?

      Alice S Other than baking a few times to season it and oil and heat the tray before pouring the batter, I don't have any special method to season it. So far it works for my trays.

    Hi, how long do u hv to beat the egg white till fluffy? How many mins? If beaten together with the whole egg, is there any difference?

      About 4 - 6 mins depending on your stand mixer. Without separating the egg white, the texture will not be as light and soft.

      Your tray need to be well seasoned by baking a few times. Also you need to heat the tray before pouring in the batter.

      Yes crispy on the outside and soft inside. Crispiness last about 2 days. Need to reheat lightly to return its crispiness.
