After making this video I realize that I really hate the sound of my own voice, I speak too softly / I need to turn up my mic, mouth sounds, and I suck at enunciating.
Oh, and my voice is more monotone than I realized.

Something that is really nice about the world of worm is that the rating system is actually useful, even in cases were ratings aren't that exact. Got someone in power armor with cool gadgets? No matter if it's Armsmaster or Dauntless, just smack some high ratings on that for safety and no one will be upset, since the whole process is about reacting to a danger, rather than the exact power.
Anyways, great video. It really summed up the system nicely. And I'm fairly sure that most people don't like the sound of their voices. It's just weird to get used to the fact that our voices sound different to everyone else, contrary to what we ourselves perceive that they sound like. Don't beat yourself up about it too much. It's the content that counts and you've got some really good analyzis here
Do note, Taylor’s general threat rating is Master 8 Thinker 1 iirc, but due to her competency and the usefulness of her ability, she has an ‘augmented’ rating of +2 in every category.
That’s right, she’s got a total threat score of 33, with the largest portion being Master 10 and Thinker 3.
Note that Tagg gave her that rating so that no one would underestimate her. Ironically, that's exactly what Alexandria and he did.

@@mirceazaharia2094 No, thats part of Eden's main shards. That's why most of the powers he uses sometimes get harder to use, cause he uses the shards from the thinker which is dead.
To be fair the threat ratings from worm are pretty catchy, but not very practical, either as categories for power effects or as "threat ratings" for the PRT to base their responses on, for a few reasons. For example capital M Masters like Heartbreaker or Valefor which affect people really should be distinguished from "controllers" like Skitter or "summoners" like Siberian or Genesis since they are essentially completely different types of threats and the former are pure distilled hell for any organisation trying to maintain order.
I mean, yeah, but given how this is one of my older videos, and more importantly given how "dry" I wanted this video to be, at the time, I did not really get too into the classifications and the discussions around them.
Like I've said in other videos, or at least in video descriptions, these are generally made with the idea that if someone for some reasons doesn't want to read, they could listen.
@@SobriquetPlumenom Thats totally fair. I wasn't expecting this video as a dissection of PRT threat ratings and how practical they are. I was just putting my own 2 cents in.
Also to respond to your video description. I won't lie and say your delivery is perfect, but you clearly deliver the information you want too without obvious breaks or stuttering. And having watched your newer videos I think your skill as a narrator is getting better and better.
I'm also an avid tornado enthusiast and it's interesting how the EF system relates to the parahuman threat level. There are a lot of complaints that the EF system isn't a measurement of strength but of damage, so we've had some of the strongest, largest, scariest tornados with the fastest wind speeds ever recorded on earth but were only rated an ef3 because it only hit a few structures. I love the similarities between my two obsessions lol
honestly my normal voice sounds surprisingly like yours, and I like it, but that’s probably because I somehow manage to hear my voice the same when speaking as when in a recording so I’m used to it
I relate to the quiet voice thing, I legitimately need to yell to make my voice a normal speaking volume

Need a slaughter house nine next
While that would be fun, feels like it would be a great deal of work since I feel like I would divide it into two videos. One centered on former members and another on membership as of the beginning of the Worm, and maybe I'll also mention future membership in the latter.
Granted I can certainly see the argument stating I don't do that much 'work' on my videos. The visuals aren't exactly complicated or particularly great and most of the research is less so me actually looking back on the story and taking notes and more so me double checking if what's described on the wiki is fully 'accurate' and/or 'faithful' to what is actually stated.
Hell, there may be a lot of information that isn;t even on the wiki that's been found in other forums and discussions that I just completely miss. Regardless, I do want to do a video or videos about the S9 one day.

I’m trying to write my own system, and it’s very hard. Partially because there aren’t very many that I know of. But also because Worm already does it exactly how I would do it! Aaargh
To be fair, conceptually the idea of categorizing powers or whatever into arbritray categories based on certain charcacteristics isn't that "unique". Even this one had older classifications that are no longer used. More so, there probably is a chance that in-universe people had their own colloquial sub-categories, like the Master classification could be further expanded to describe types of Masters.
Can you do this for the scp foundation?
I know the gist of it, but you have the gift of explaining things.
I feel like there are already plenty of those types of channels. As far as I know, just based on the light "research" I did, while there are plenty of forums talking about various Worm things, I think there is like only 1 or 2 other channels relating to Worm "lore" and whatnot.
