That's all we need, to sensationalize the word "Balaklava" - Stupid name.. I stand with Ukraine but this is horrible music
So is this Blues? To me it's even missing the basic element of the Blues. But whatever...
It’s the feeling, sir. We draw on the traditions of our people, who sing the “blues” of hundreds of years of impression under imperial forces, dreaming only of freedom and peace and love. We can go deeper into the various layers of meaning that make our chosen name appropriate to us, but this is the basic element.
It is understandable that the name can be confusing upon 30 seconds of initial listening, though. But we hope our listeners spend time with us and “dig deeper” both into the music and themselves and invite them to share what they find… if your sole findings are “so this is blues?” (Which may not be the case) I’d invite you to dig a bit deeper.

I actually used to want to visit your country before most people even knew it's name, because of it's interesting history.
More blues the feeling than blues the genre
Though a lot of the feeling of this music is more rage than blues. Understandable right now. Mourning comes later.
